Any way to do this? - Android Themes

Without using a separate app, is there a way to link desktop visualizer to open the app drawer of ADW launcher? I know you can long press on the home screen, and press launcher actions, then click open app drawer and change that icon, but I want it bigger, so I need to use DVR. I know I can link DVR to Alt Drawer, since that is a separate app, but I would prefer to use the default ADW app drawer. I've tried all the shortcuts for ADW from the custom shortcuts menu, and none of them open the app drawer, so that's not a option. Any ideas?

How about creating the wallpaper with the icon you wan inserted, then overlay it with a transparent icon of the app drawer.

adw ex dock icon square to dots

im using adw ex 1.22 is there a way to change the square little home window
to dots like launcher pro
I played with mine and can't find a way to change the actual app drawer icon. You can change every single other icon to whatever you can possibly think of but not that one. Thats interesting.... hhhuuuummmmmm...... update? lol!
if you're talking about the app drawer icon, then yes, you can change it. Just long press the home screen> Launcher Actions> Open/Close App Drawer. Then there will be a laucner icon on your homescreen. Long press that, then release in place. Choose edit. Click the icon. Choose whatever icon you want. Then Place the new launcher shortcut on the dock.
On mine I can just long press the drawer icon, select edit and change the icon?

if you want to get the icon, you should download a theme first, just type"adw theme" in Market, choose one, and download,
long press the drawer icon, select edit and change the icon
thanks for replies got it working now as i want it now

Landscape launcher?

Anyone know of a launcher that orients the dock to the bottom in landscape? I've tried adw, launcher pro and zeam but none seem to have the option unless I'm missing it.
+1
I always wondered about this but never thought to post here. Thanks for reminding me.
Well here is one option. In ADW (I'm using EX but I'm pretty sure the unpaid app does the same) go into settings, UI settings, main dock, main dock style and choose the no icon option. Now, go back to your home screen and create a 'launcher action' shortcut that open and closes the app drawer. You'll have to make one for every screen you have ... or not. For a while i only had one on my main screen so there was more room on the others.
Yeah, that's what I am doing now (adw w/out dock). I was just looking for a sticky dock with maybe some eye candy.

That's a pretty slick idea.
Thanks!
I just use the swipe down action to open the app drawer. This way I have no dock on screen and can get to the drawer from any of my screens. I'm using ADW free version.

Exactly, though I prefer swipe up for and down for notifications. That way you can even hide the status bar.
Power Launcher Pro has landscape mode with the dockbar at the bottom.

A few questions

Hello,
I bought the Galaxy recently, and changed his rom.
Rom comes with Launchrpro, and I am very satisfied with it.
But I want to stay with the original rom menu (TW). is this possible?
In addition, I want to get the applications menu in folders.is this possible?
Thanks
I don't know which rom you are using but if that rom gives you both option then go to
settings> application> manage application> choose TW> set default (you can clear defaults too)
Hope this works for you.
There are custom roms that offer touchwiz, and you can always install it afterwards too (e.g. From apk found off the forums, or via sgs tools app).
Doc rom kitchen is a great place to start.
The app menu is launcher specific, afaik there aren't any that allow you to arrange your apps into folders, and launcherpro is the only one that lets you hide icons.

Tnx but I know that I can switch to TW.
I want to stay with Launchrpro and replace just the menu like TW.

What menu are you talking about? (screenies would be nice)
The first picture(left) is the menu I want to go back to.
This second picture menu I have now, in the launcherpro
I wish to keep launcherpro because of the comfortable home screens.
That menu is called app drawer a part of the launcher and what you want I believe not possible with launcherpro. If you want the horizontal scrolling + menu in app drawer I mean. You are better off with another launcher. Like ADW launcher or some modified TW.
As near as I can tell, what you are showing in the first pic is the TWLauncher homescreen, while in the second you are showing the App Drawer in LauncherPro.
It is easy to reproduce a similar homescreen in Launcher Pro. On your main screen, just press the button to open your App Drawer (the thing shown in your second picture). The press and hold the icon for an App you wish to put on your homescreen. Your view will switch to your homescreen, with a garbage can at the bottom. Position the icon where you with it, or drop it into the trash and start again. Once you have everything on the first homescreen that you want, go to the second screen, reopen the App Drawer, and add apps just as you did before.
You can control the number of homescreens you have, and which opens by default, from the Launcher Pro Preferences menu.

As you can see if you look closely BOTH pics are app drawer . Look first pic, grey bar down (home screen has it black) and Home button which doesnt exist in the homescreen since there is the Applications button
To OP look what I wrote you up . Or you could kinda put all yours apps on your homescreen like rschenck said.
Try Go Launcher, free in market. It lets you have the "side swiping" app drawer/menu

Quite right, my bad...been a while since I used the TWLauncher.
OP, are you asking to be able to horizontally scroll through apps, or to have buttons for Phone and other key tasks on the same page as all your apps?
I am still thinking that you can either jury rig a solution using Pro, or as Pagot suggests, try other launchers, there are lots of good ones out there...ADW, Pro, GO, Zume, plenty of others.

[Q] [HOW TO] Create alarm shortcut in homepage

Hi,
is it possible to create a shortcut to alarm app (the original one, inside clock app) in homepage??? it would be very useful for me....
I'm using GB 2.3.5 with GOlauncherEX (and don't want to change it)
Thx
Got it!
You can do it with this: QuickShortcutMaker
This application let you create a shortcut to nearly every activities. And the alarm is an activities, not an app (as long as I understand)
With ADW EX, there is a way to do it without using a separate app. GO Launcher EX may have the same thing. If you long press on the desktop and select custom shortcut. Then you select "Pick your activity". Once the list loads, you can find the clock app, expand out the list of activities, and then select the alarm clock one.
^^what he said. I think most Launchers allow this. By the way OP, if you use the stock Clock/Alarm app a lot, i highly recommend 'Alarm Clock Plus' from the market. It's fantastic.

Google experience launcher but stock app drawer?

I'm using gel on my htc one. Overall I like it, but I prefer the stock app drawer with the ability to use folders. Is there a way to replace the app drawer, or change the app drawer shortcut to the stock one? I know launchers such as nova allow you to make activity shortcuts. I made one for blink feed, but can't find the activity name for the app drawer. Any ideas?
