[Q] Switch between keyboard layouts - Motorola Droid 3

Hi,
is it possible to switch between custom keyboard layouts on the Droid 3? E.g. I would like to add a cyrillic keybaord layout and be able to switch between the default and the cyrillic layout quickly as I type.
thanks,
.

If you long press in the text box you are typing in, you should get a popup menu. If you select "Input method" you can select any keyboard that you have installed.

Thanks, but I meant for the hardware keyboard.

Changing hw keyboard layout

It's making me going crazy...
As per my experience, there's a simple option to change in order to adapt your physical keyboard layout to you system. At least, this is easily done on my pc.
But, what about my Kaiser?
I have a AT&T Tilt Kaiser, with AT&T keyboard layout (the one with grey numpad).
But I have an Italian Rom (Shifu WM6.5 V4.2).
Italian keyboard has the same AT&T layout, except for some symbol position: as an example, when I press FN+D, I expect character ":" (double dot) to be inserted into the window, while I obtain a "%" character instead...
I tried "advanced config"and changed input->Keyboard layout to AT&T/Cingular, with no effect...
So, to be syntetic: Where is the option to change the keyboard layout?

[Q] Change the language?

Is it possible to change the language of the nook color? Or at least change the configuration of the keyboard so the autocomplete and autocorrect is in spanish?
Thanks

I cannot speak for spanish, but I can read/type Chinese quite easily with a couple of keyboards that support pinyin (chinese input). A quick glance shows quite a few options: http://www.androidzoom.com/android_applications/spanish keyboard
I change the language of the nook color with morelocale2.
I'll see what I can do with the keyboard. I'm sure swift Key have spanish, but the menu appears white text over white background, so I can't choose the language... Maybe I'll just try them all.
I was able to change the language of two keyboards, SwiftKey and Smart Keyboard. One with a long press in the mic button and the other with a long press in the ABC button.
Sadly, Swift Key uses predictions for both languages at the same time, mixing them, so I had to chose Smart Keyboard as a default, even though I like the former better.

[Q] Keyboard portrait types

Just got my note today!!!!!!!!!!
SG2 under settings ->samsung keypad settings
I'm able to select the keypad types based on language
Korea (3x4)
Alphabet (Qwerty)
Numbers and symbols (Qwerty)
Is there a way to set this as well? I've only seen one option to select qwerty vs 3x4 but it changes all languages to that setting instead of individual settings for each language.
Thanks.
Hm... the only workaround I've found so far is enable 2 different keyboards. Upon wanting to switch languages I change the keyboard. Would be interested to hear any other good news.

N preview bug?

I can't seem to find a way to change default keyboard after initial install of a new keyboard. By this I mean to say that, for instance, when I install swype the swype setup menu will allow me to select swype as default keyboard, but I can't do this from the language and input settings in settings and if I long press comma the only options I get are to change Google keyboard settings or language settings. I can't easily switch between swype and Google keyboard.
Anyone else? Maybe I'm just being an idiot?

Mine is working fine. When you go into language & input it should be under "virtual keyboard" and you can change it there.

EMUI 10 Desktop mode - change keyboard layout

Hello,
is it possible to change keyboard layout while using external (hardware) keyboard in EMUI desktop mode? I am planning to buy NexDock 2 and connect my P30 Pro to it. However, they only have US keyboard layout available.
Is it somehow possible to change the layout of the external keyboard (like on Windows) so you can type foreign language characters, for example German letters like ä, ö, ü...?
SOLVED
You can change the keyboard layout using External Keyboard Helper app. You are able to set a certain keyboard combination in order to quickly switch languages. For example, you can set Alt+Space or Shift+Space combinations to instantly change external keyboard language. Alternatively, changing the keyboard language on your phone using the keyboard app also changes the layout of your external keyboard. However, using External Keyboard Helper app seems like a better solution because you can change languages quickly with shortcuts without touching your phone.
