[Q] Problem with Update the Firmware

i tried so many times to upgrade my firmware(which is now jf3) which 2 versions of Kies(Germany) but still fail to do so....the last time i tried, after downloading the binary files and when it start to upgrade the process suddenly stop and it said that RAPI.dll not found and i nedd to install the application again.....i really need to update my firmware as my wifi keep turn on by itself and after that it got stuck and cant be turned on.......please anyone know how can i upgrade my firmware or remove this bug from my phone...really appriaciate your help!!!!!

[Q] Latest Kies does not recognise phone!

Downloaded latest version of Kies (1.5.3.10093_82) from Samsung mobile site and now phone not recognised! Grrr
No longer have previous versions!
Error in Kies.log reads "Unable to cast object of type 'System.Int64' to type 'System.String'."
Any ideas anyone?

if you find one i'll be dying to know - i've tried absolutely everything possible from every single forum I can find and non of them work.

Problem Upgrading from JPO to GB via Kies

Hi there I'm having problem updating from JPO Froyo to the recently released Ginberbread JVO.
I've reinstalled Samsung Kies and the Samsung USB drivers but I'm still getting this error everytime I try and upgrade. The phone itself is unlocked.

I've never rooted the device or installed any custom ROM. I only upgrade via Kies.
Some help would be greatly appreciated.

It looks like kies itself is misbehaving. Try uninstalling kies and then reinstall it to see if that solves your problem

I already did that and i'm still getting errors when I try to upgrade.

Is it being blocked by your firewall?

My firewall is turned off.

hmmm that's strange, it should be working normally in that case.
OS shouldn't be an issue, im assuming you have plenty of free ram, and that you're not running anything else you don't need to be running in the background.
Maybe try giving samsung a call and see what they say? I know kies is very tempramental from my experiences with it in the past. That's why I started flashing custom roms lol, to get away from kies.

Error while updating to JB official release

Hi Fellas,
So here is my problem and i am sure you guys can fix it.
Phone-NOTE 1
Rooted-No
Current version-ICS
Country-India
Problem-I am trying tp update the firmware to JB on my phone using KIES ONLY because whatever i do if i check the OTA update it says"NO UPDATE AVAILABLE"
So anyways what happens is that it download the firmware update file and then after that when it tries to update/apply the update i get tjis freaking CHINESE/JAPANESE message and when i click OK it starts all over again
I have tried MULTIPLE SYSTEMS/MULTIPLE KIESINSTALLATIONS and STILL NO GO.
I have attached the screenshot of the error message and would really appreciate any help.I reaaly apologise in advance if there is any thread already created for this error.
I tried finding one but i couldnt.

[Q] OTA update - download not possible

Hey guys!
I just wanted to download the kitkat update 4.4.4 via the update center, but it gave me an error back.
The download seems to start, but stucks for 3 seconds at 0% and stops with the error message "download not possible".
Does anybody know whats the problem here? Is somewhere a logfile to see what exactly the problem is?
Edit: I've found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2948116 but it doesn't seems helpful, because this is the log from the last update which was successful.

According to logcat it might be error 504, gateway timeout.
-So is it a Sony server problem?

Seems to be a server issue, now it worked without any problem.
