Is there any way to download applications from the android marketplace to my desktop PC without using the G1 as the downloading device?
Any software/websites out there that facilitate direct downloads to the PC?

Why don’t you have internet or mobile data signal? Solve that problem first.

If I understand you correctly, you want to install the apps you have using file explorer and you don't have internet on your mobile for downloading and installing the fire explorer, right?
If so, you can download the file explorer apk to your computer and install it by connecting your phone via USB and using ADB
Connect your phone to your computer, make sure you have Android SDK and USB driver installed properly on your computer and have USB Debugging turned on in Settings-> Application Settings-> Development.
Then use this guide:

to install your APK files to /data/app or /system/app directories.
Dear All,
I have problem with Kies & Samsung Galaxy S, when I connect my phone to PC I cannot sync my contacts with outlook.
it's happened after installed z4root & One Click Lag Fix.
-My mobile rooted & installed Ext2 tools
Error as per attached please advice me.
I found soultion ; I Installed EXT2 & removed OneClickLagFix V2+
I have a kies contacts backup from when i was using 2.2.1 ROM, but now i have a 2.3.4 custom ROM that doesn't have an MTP so cannot connect to kies to restore the contacts (was going to sync with gmail but hadn't done it yet).
Anyone know how i can get it working again, or just reimport my contacts from the SPB file I have on my PC?
