Yes I bought it used for few weeks I also updated my stock rom if i am not mistaken its Indian one. Here is my new rom but its weird it is still showing root too. So can I just flash custom rom straight without doing rooting it again.

Guys what are you talking about.
I bought it new from shop, ripped the packaging myself and it says "[email protected] #2".
I even updated it myself from KIES to KKA.

You can root it accordingly the threads in development section.

we need to wait until we have a stable CWM to get rid of that sucker!!!
Is the one DG posted not stable enough? I am going to wait a bit before I try to get CWM. Want to make sure there's a good number of people doing it and getting it working with no problems before I try it. Lol

we spent a few hours trying them all.. i finally have adb recognizeable in CWM..
so yes...
note: he is working on a new CWM specifically for our device... so if you want to wait.. the only thing that apparently doesnt work with the CWM we have now is update zips... so any mods to the system have to be pushed or manually copied and pasted with the device.. thats what i do...
you have to be really careful doing that.. not recommended.

With CWM recovery you need to download the ota zip file for your N7 (wifi or 3g) which can be installed in CWM recovery. I know it can because that's what I did. Updating lost root and CWM recovery, but I used Wugfresh Nexus Root Toolkit to get root and reinstall recovery. I actually installed TWRP recovery and flashed Chainfire's SuperSu 1.43 to complete the root process. Now I'm updated with TWRP recovery and root.
Got mine. Booted into TWRP bit updated. OTA Rootkeeper didn't work. Will need to re-root.
