Hi!
My MM is on CM7 RC10. I've tried a lot of gameloft games, gun bros and others like Age of Winds and only could play to Asphalt5 and Raging Thunder.
Any of you could play heavy or HD games on his MM?

on cronosginger though
for gaming get cronosginger 1.4.0 with pcphobics modifications .. u will be surprised how your milestone can handle heavy games

Maybe I give a try to cronosginger, but right now, I don't have many time to change my rom only for play the games . Anyone knows a walkaround to play something on CM7?
that rom is not only for gaming, its very stable n the quickest ive used .. n the best part is its battery life ..

I'm having that problem since I've changed to custom firmware, in the beggining I used stock eclair and ALL heavy games run without problems, then I changed to custom firmware (now on CM7 RC10) and I have problems and crashes on most Gameloft games, BUT all the emulators work excelently, this is little weird, so can a DEV answer that?? pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease
Oh! I forgot! each CM7 versions were compatible with other games, for example, Spliter Cell Conviction ran on CM7 RC5, but did not work on next versions, nor even on RC4, just on RC5... I insist: weird!

have u tried cronos ginger ? .. it will solve all your problems .. its better than stock

Excuse me roohanjs, I didn't want to said that cronosginger was only to play or CM7 is better than cronosginger. What I was trying to say is I'm fine with CM7, and now don't have time to backup, download other ROM, read about it, install, tweak, load again all apps, etc. etc.
Maybe the weekend I could try cronosginger, but meanwhile I hope someone could give me a tip on CM7.

Hi Hearts king101.
I forgot to mention about SuperCharger. I've try it, and tested diferents scripts but the games always crash after intro video or after a few seconds of playing.
I use CM7 RC10, set the vm heapsize to 42 and I am able to play Modern Combat 1&2, the Settlers HD and the normal market games like Angry Birds without stuttering. I havn't even aplied the V6 supercharger mod. Oh, and I overclocked to 1,1Ghz
Just make sure you don't have to much useless stuff running in the background. You can prevent apps from running on boot in the latest versions of CM7

How do you prevent apps from running on boot with CM7? I look inside all settings menus but couldn't find anything.
My MM it's overclocked at 1GHz and vm heapsize is 40MB. I try with JIT enabled and disabled and any of both settings make a difference playing heavy games.
In the CM7 settings menu there is an entry for application management (I have the dutch language enabled, so I don't knoow what the exact english translation is), and you should enable this. Once enabled you can change the app settings in the app management menu in the normal settings menu. Just click on a app and scroll down to the bottom and there you can enable and disable settings. This only works for the apps you installed yourself. Pre installed apps can't be altered.
And I have JIT enabled, thrown the standart ADW launcher away and installed GO Launcher EX wich is in my opinion much faster.

Hello guys how come i see guys on youtube being able to play games like eternal legacy and most notably dungeon hunter without lagg and with stock ROM and i have the 2.3 ROM GingerDX JIT enabled overclocked my phone to 710mhz and it still lags any help thanks verry much i know others want to know too also i see they have tested this games in other phones which have same hardware like x8 or even worse and they dont lag.

yea i understand thats why i made this thread i also hear around forums that there are games like HAWX and NOVA that can be played with no lag at all

i have no problem with NOVA ,nfs shift , pes 2011 , speedx 3d , glow hockey <-- this games is no lagging at all , this lags a bit --> angry birds , tank hero,raging thunder, dungeon hunter now lagging like hell --> real football 2011 and some more but cant remember .. GDX v013 OC 729MHz JIT Enabled , v6 supercharge ,fast reboot hope it helps a bit
oh first thanks for replying and also i would like to ask if supercharge can help decrease lags in games or do you recomend any other app that helps thanks.
EDIT:BTW how it is posible that pes 2011 dosnt lag even on my phone but angry birds does?Does it mean angry birds is not optimized?

try using froyobread most hd games with no lag i have tested most of the games
as for gingerdx i think 3d is not working( quadrant test) i think in gb rom we need custom kernels to work 3d and hd games lag in gingerdx btw thanks for doixanh for its excellent rom on gingerdx v14 oc 729

If you are going for gaming i truly suggest froyobreadv23
best gaming rom i have been sucessful in playing most of the hd games without any

2.3 is not stock rom,more games run in 2.1 better than 2.2 or 2.3 by my tested,and my phone is not enbled overclock or jit,so i'm back to 2.1 for now

I used to play Temple Run on boype's CM and the game was smooth, sometimes laggy in the first 2 games but after that it ran smoothly.
Now I'm on Zeus 6.39o and the game lags, not a lot but also not playable for this kind of games.
I wish that everyone post their experience with the game and how to make it smoother if possible.

Default CPU settings. 300-1000 MHz and no voltage tweak, i mean "0". But at 1350 MHz it launches smoother and faster but not quite different from 1000 mhz.
In mine just first 2-3 sec of first game lags , otherwise its smooth. i am using Stock V20s with diana kernel.
runs perfectly smooth with FOP CM9 Nightly6 without even close the apps in background
i have the latest v20g stock rom on which temple run doesnt lag at all
Is there a way to make angry birds less laggy ??? I have tried everything yet the games (all realses) are a little laggy.
Can someone help?
There are most things you can do:
- Try a new rom, looking for a gamers-type rom.
- If this is not enough, try to do little oc your cpu. I personally use 825mhz with smartass v2 governor. May seem a very poor improvement, but with this setting i have no lags in most videogames
- You can try to use Chainfire 3D, allowing to reduce more in-depth settings. But this program is very dangerous if you don't have experience on it. In some roms is not recommended to install this

Angry birds requires 1ghz+ and armv7 device to run smoothly.while ace can be OC upto just 902mhz and has armv6 processor,I played angry birds on GALAXY S i9000 and it runs smooothly as butter.

Use "TheDevil000" advices and disable sound inside the game, It should help you
Try GameBooster its an app specially made for increasing games performance n if even that does not works then overclock ur cell it ll increase ur cpu at the cost of battery.

Could you please check if Subway Surfers playable on it Captivate without any lag at all?
On my bro's phone, the lag kicks in after the in-game speed increases. Can't jump at the right time coz of it.

YES.....For me subway surfer works AWESOME WITHOUT ANY LAG
But now I use Stock CM10.1.2+Semaphore Kernel.....Can't say about all Stock
Cause when I got this phone I simply rooted it and installed a Custom Rom Right away....This phone was never on stock...It was stock only for 1 day .....With cyanogenMod even games like MC4 works very well.....But anyway Game Works fine for Me sir

Six Guns had some lags
MC3 had some minor lags too but the game is playable I haven't OCed my phone...I will do that then will tell about lags But for now There are minor lags

I can't say anything about the gameplay, cause when race its about to start, it crashes (When I say that the race is about to start, its the loading screen), when loading is done, it crashes.
Organ Trail: Director's Cut is pretty good if you have any nostalgia for the original it's a new twist on a classic.
I tried Asphalt 8..It lags a bit But without OC ..Haven't tried with OC
