Just got the extended battery for the Droid 2 from Verizon store today and it works well with my Droid 1. Unfortunately my case won't work with the extended battery cover so I ended up having to leave the back cover off in order to fit it into it.
I am going to be testing the battery life with this new battery and it looks to be rather awesome in terms of not having to recharge the phone during the middle of the day or end of night before I get home.
High recommend so far. Will post updates more later on.
Which case do you use if you don't mind me asking?
It was a clear plastic case from Verizon.
They work really well, been using one in my milestone for a couple of weeks. Lasts the whole day now.

How much for the battery and battery door in verizon stores?

I've been using a BP7X in my OG since Xmas and I love it. Had to use the blue Droid 2 battery door but oh well its not a big deal. Definitely worth $25. Search for it they are out there

Extended Battery Door?
Forgive me, but it's unclear to me which extended battery door works... ANY links to GOOD extended batteries and covers would be awesome! Thanks!
Does anyone know if you can fit the Droid/Milestone door over the extended battery if you remove that sticky sponge pad on the back? I got a Droid 3 but want to go back to using my Milestone and I'm looking to enhance it yet keep the stock look.

How come you want to roll back to the D1/Milestone?
I almost pulled the trigger on a used D3, but will probably just buy a new D4...

The software was horrible, the build quality the Droid/Milestone has no longer exists, it had issues getting a signal most of the time, it was too big and so much more. Dislike the Droid 4 even more.
Doing a full rebuild of my Milestone but I'm stuck with a US keypad as I can't get the UK one.
Anyone seen any extra batteries and external battery chargers? I need this to survive . I'm a battery swapper: I don't support being tied down by walls

I am SO with you!
My N1 and Captivate both have two extra batteries and I can't stand waiting around for my phone to charge. That was the first thing I looked into at 8:03 this morning and haven't found anything. I can't even find a decent case... The plastic phone worries me.. At least bestskinsever are shipping them by the 20th
Oh dude the plastic is solid. I've dropped a Vibrant to death and it's still hot smokin safe. The only plastic part anyways is the battery cover, which can be easily replaced in the future.
confirmed: Behold II and moment battery works
I posted a question about the battery.
I have a battery used with Behold II and it just fits (same model number) and I am using it.

Just make sure you buy the 1500mAh one.

Haven't seen any extended batteries while Googling, but the OEM's are about $7 a pop:

1500mah? idk. might damage the device
I mean, if those batteries on amazon are the EXACT SAME (1500mah) then i'll buy two, no questions asked.

The battery on Amazon says 5,48Wh whereas mine syas 5,55Wh. I'm not sure what the difference is, but I'd rather get one that's the exact same.

They're original batteries used with Behold II. I did a careful research to make sure the battery is compatible.

I just got the 2 battery I bought from amazon. The good news is it works perfectly. The bad news is it is only 1440 mAh.
I recently came to the conclusion that i wanted to sell my 2150 battery. It was great and lasted long but I just never really could adjust to the bulk and after rooting and installing a custom ROM on my phone, my stock battery was enough to satisfy me. It is only about 2 weeks old and I'm a light user to begin with. This battery should still perform to its max. I'm posting in hope of finding someone who can get better use of it than I could. If anyone is interested you can check out the link below .

I just didn't really like the weight and it kinda was a turn off with the size. It's easier to get out of pockets with the stock haha.

Well I didn't use it too much so it's still great quality. I was hoping for around $40 on eBay but It's around 20$ at the moment on my listing so it's possible to snag it for less.
I will send you 40 for it
I just got it via FedEx and I have it charging as per instructions. But now I'm a tad bummed cuz I've got 2 really cute TPU cases and I can't use either of them.
Thats the only thing that blows. I picked mine up when I got my phone on release day. Best 25$ I've ever spent. But yet no tpu case for the extended battery that I know of. I'm gonba check out eBay and hopefully they have something I hate not having a case in my phone.

You should try the case and holster combo as it will fit the extended battery and will fit in the docks. Also a bonus it has a slide out kickstand. I have been a leather case guy until now. Took me just a day to get used to it and now love it.
Check to see if the battery is 2880 like verizon states on there website or if it's 2760 like the one that I got straight from verizon dot com

Why? And how do we check?
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using xda premium
cuz the battery is a different size then what verizon says it is on their website. If thats where you got the extended battery. I got mine from verizons website and they state its a 2880 mAh, What they actually send is a 2760 mAh. Which woould be smaller. Its extended none the less from stock but its still misleading from what Verizon says to what the battery they send really is. If you wanna check look either on the box it came in or on the battery itself it will say what mAh it is.
My extended battery is 2760...bummer.
What the crap? What happened to the 2880 batteries we all ordered?
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using XDA App
Hmmm, when I bought it from the store he never handed me the box, I'll have to check my battery out.
I just like how perfect it looks on the phone... doesnt really make it ugly.
not the battery that was advertised but i love this thing. I woke up went to work used my phone all day and then came home after a 12 hour shift and i still had 50% left.
The extended battery is a must for any power user that does not want to be tied up by a power cord. The best product for this awesome phone so far!

Roger that. I think it fills out the phone nicely
I just received mine today. I purchased my phone via CostCo (day 1, first phone sold to me) so I got all the accessories - happy to say that hte Extended battery fits the battery charger I got.
w00t!
Now that I know that, I went back online and ordered a second one - same discount.
Life will be good with 2 swappable extended batteries when I'm overclocking in the future
Not too worried about the discrepancy in the stated versus rated mAh - it's still larger than stock by a significant amount, so I'll take it.
Hey all! I think it's finally time to get a new battery, because I'm getting only 2500 mAh out of 3220 mAh, on a full charge. It HAS been 25 months after all. Where have you gotten your replacement batteries and how good are they?
I know @rignfool got his at repairsuniverse but I've never ordered from them before, so I'd like some more opinions please. Thanks!

Capacity smaller than my current (3050 vs 3220). Guess it's the one from the international model. Does it ship bent into the curved shape, or did you need to bend it yourself? Thanks!

Working better than your aged old battery?
I got mine from Amazon, they missed the shipping window so I got a full refund, $15 credit and the battery lol. Would like to say though, buy one already curved, the battery will pretty much influence the entire body of the phone, having it even slightly off will cause the frame to bend and warp which is noticable. I spent idk how long trying all sorts of methods, even using my old battery as a guide to bend the new one, have been doing repairs for years, have ran my own repair shop for a time, extensive collection of ifixit/various tools and such, and I was still unable to bend it 100% factory curve, which results in an odd, for lack of a better term, "twist" to the phone when held up & looking straight down the phone, screen facing ceiling. The top left corner is ever slightly twisted to the rear. I have retried over the last 2-3 months here and there, taking it out, straightening the mid-frame on a completely flat (checked with level) surface, making sure the built-in guide plastics are aligned, then getting the battery to where I swear it's perfect, but when everything is back together, it's always just a little off lol.
I mean it's not really noticable unless you know what your looking for, if you really inspect it, but my OCD attention to detail can't stand it lol. This is a launch day, pre-ordered Nexus 6 that has always been in a dual layer case, never dropped, and not one scratch on it, screen or body, it's my baby and I like to take care of my phone's. Yet this battery is driving me mad that I'm seriously considering in the future buying an entire new mid-frame, screen, and OEM pre-curved battery just to have it right lol.

This one here:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017JJNM0E/ref=olp_product_details?_encoding=UTF8&me=
::EDIT:: Should point out the seller I got it from is no longer selling it I just noticed. Also had Prime shipping so it was free and the final total was $17.99, which I mentioned, I was fully refunded + extra credited for, so really Amazon paid me $15 to take the battery lmao. Gotta love Amazon lol. ::EDIT::
As far as comparison goes it seems the same if not better, I have ran the factory battery since release so I may have just forgotten the experience of the stock battery, by the time I replaced it I was having shutdowns @ 45-50% remaining lol. This one does go down fully to 1% no problems and has been holding up to the frequent charge cycles I put it through as I run it @ 3.0GHz cpu / 800MHz gpu and tethering running 24/7 putting 300-500 GB's a month over Sprints 20 MHz Band 41 and never use anything but Qualcomm certified Quickcharge 3.0 chargers (yes I know N6 is only 2.0/future proofing ftw). However the stock charger burnt out a loooong time ago, I have been running with an Aukey PA-T9 wall charger & Anker Powerline+ 6Ft cable and Ampere reads on avg 2200-2400ma so no problems there.
I am employed at a local sales store doing repairs and still have access to old along with a new supplier, haven't actually compared 1:1 yet but I might be able to get the parts for cheaper than a new phone. I wouldn't want a used one, wouldn't be able to stand going from a pristine N6 to one that god knows what happened to it or how many scratches it has on it or what the solder connections look like lol, I'd rather keep my board that I know everything is good or if I could grab a new 64gb board when they are reasonably priced lol.

I also think that replacing the battery is totally worth the hassle... I did it on mine as I was getting shutdowns at below 30% and the hissing speaker sound. I bought the OEM battery off of eBay, which was very very legit 1:1 as the one I pulled out of the phone, every single letter was matching. Even though I managed to f&ck up the power and volume cable during replacement and I had to buy a new one and spent another $6, for total of $20 I'm in a very good spot... I've had my N6 since release date and still love it. If you think about it, what better phone can you get that is vanilla Android and has beautiful design? The pixel for 1K? No thanks...

I love my Shamu, but I'm probably gonna upgrade in late Winter/early Spring of 2018. There are few things I don't like about this phone. Thanks! I'm getting shutdowns at 4%, once got it at 10%. AccuBattery says I have 2550 mAh per charge, out of the 3220 mAh original capacity, so I'll probably wait another month, while getting more opinions.
