i want to update my device with this stock rom available [stock rom][2.3.6][MULTI-LANG] P1000XWJQ8_P1000PHNJQ1_P1000XXJPZ ...in the android development forum..
my device is
PDA : P1000DDJM8
PHONE : P1000DDJM2
CSC : P1000DDJM1
m running stock froyo 2.2 ..my question is that can i update my phone with this above mentioned rom ..as in india only 2.3 is available via kies ..
and is the procedure same as mentioned in the forums via odin ..or do i need another method for update ..plz confirm ..

Yes it is perfectly possible to flash jq1 on galaxy tab for india

Hi,
i need official rom for my samsung galaxy gt I9000 its unlocked purchased from Australia from three. i need to update to froyo official rom, there is no kies update.
The following are my handset detail's

Kernel 2.6.29 root se-s604#2.
So what version can i update to plz do help me frndz.
guys I upgraded my Galaxy S phone to Android 2.2 using Odin
But now I want to use the official Indian version
wht should I do??
should I revert back to 2.1??
if yes then how or wht should I do
as the one I installed from Odin is giving me problems with APN
whn I manually save my apn settings they won't appear on the apn page
so now I want to go for the Indian version of Froyo
plz tell me wht should I do?

I forgot to note the 2.1 firmware number my galaxy S was running on
can anyone tell me which firmware should I download for my indian version from the list of firmware for the asian countries from this site samfirmware site

I fixed my problem
I downloaded the 2.1 firmware [Asian firmware for my country] from sammfirmware site & downgraded my phone from 2.2 to 2.1 then I got my APN working & my CSC was restored to its original value
Then I updated my phone to 2.2 using Kies & Now I have the official 2.2 android firmware without any problems
So my problem is fixed
Can i flash froyo's baseband (only amss file) in gingerbread,,,?????????
As my brother is having galaxy pro and there is no official gingerbread update for our country... he is currently using singapore version of gingerbread 2,3,6 and he is facing wifi n other signal problems as he is from India,,, so i thought as there is no update for India,,, so can i flash froyo indian baseband(amss) in gingerbread singapore???
there is an update to gb for india it is called ddkq7 there are also 2-3 tut available for the updating process search for ddkq7 you will get it
and flashing froyo file on gb may result wrong

regarding the question it may not work but you can try there will only be soft brick, if it don't work you can flash complete firmware
I had lost my GINGERBREAD 2.3.6 android and my phone stopped working, after I installed CWM ,

Here is the link on how to install stock rom using odin along with all firmwares,
Flash stock rom on Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 using odin
Once installed, go to recoverymod and do a wipe data/ factory reset & wipe cache (otherwise bootloop might occur). Then restart. Now you have successfully flashed the stock rom. Here is the link for rooting and installing CWM 5 on Samsung Galaxy Ace,
