I decided to flash the Blue Steel theme over Darky's 9.1. But I want the stock 9.1 Darky's Gingerbread theme with 4screen unlock. How do I get that back? Plz help.

i was trying to get this myself.
so i just re-installed Darkys 9.1 ROM and that sorted it
also as youre already on Darky ROM it will perform a non-wipe installation so it will keep all your apps and settings [you may have to re-set up your homescreen widgets though]
Yes, this is the way. If you want to be sure of non wipping your data, use darky's configuration rom app from the marked.
Also... did you know that Darky's 9.2 is out? As I tried, is a "better" 9.1
Is there a mirror for a deodexed version of CM7 nightlies? Or a tool I can change the current odexed builds with? I find adding and deleting all the apks on system that I want after a fresh wipe a lot faster that way. I've been using aospcmod, but it looks like he's moved on to the Optimus and put the Hero on the back burner, so I'm looking for something updated a little more frequently, and at the very least has the CM7 theme chooser and the status bar widget.
If you want deodexed nightlies you will have to download dsixda's Android Kitchen in the Chef Forum and then run your nightly through that and select the deodex option under advanced. Repeat for every nightly you want deodexed.
Sent from my Hero that never dies! ;D
Noob alert !
Say there is a current theme your using and you want to change to a different theme , do i just flash the theme that i want without restoring the back rom that has no theme yet . In general can i just flash themes on top of each other?
FYI : currently on overcome 7 series v4.0 rom , ICS theme.
V4 was released today and I have the following questions:
1) Download link not working
2) Does the modem have better wifi reception
3) Are there any included launchers
Thanks
1) http://www.mediafire.com/?3d6da7j5i306v7u - That link works.
2) Test different modems and see which you get the best with, at the minute my best is JVU.
3) Probably not, check? Also you can get more from the market / on here.

2. All Dark Knight Roms got no Modem pre installed. If you got a modem, u will keep it after flashing from ur earlier installations.
3. Try Nova Launcher or Apex Launcher from market.
Dark Knight rom got an pre installed Nova Launcher and this one runs very smooth (except the sporadic rom bugs )
TV
someone can say if digital tv is working in dark knight 4?

In this case how can I flash KB3 and where can I find it?
Also would you suggest formatting to ext4 and how should I do it so that I don't lose anything?
Hey guys, i flashed V4 and now my phone is stuck at the bootanimation (i had it booting for 20 min). I did a full wipe, wiped cache, wiped dalvik and even tried to reflash. Any suggestions?
edit: i got it working after 3rd reflash
I didnot like it.....
My suggestion: wait for an update
I have tried switching from V3 to V4 yesterday. I encountered problems with Titanium and GPlay kept FCing so I returned to my backup of the stable V3.
V4 was rushed out so I´m waiting for the next update.

Did you directly flash the ROM ? In that case you may face FCs often.
Better take a nandroid backup.
wipe cache and data
flash the rom
Rebot and let the phone start
Go to recovery and then from backuo and restore -> advanced restore -> select the backup you did -> restore data
I moved from Elite V7.1 to Dark Knight 4 and dint face any such issues.
in my case titanium crashed while restoring and couldn't complete the process.I think I'll stay on gb rom all the way till a gb-stable-and-smooth- like ics rom comes out.

I did a backup of DK V3 to which I returned.
I wiped dalvic cache, data and cache and then flashed. I will try again and see what happens

I think it includes the devil kernel because I when i flashed V3 over stock ROM it changed to Devil Kernel
Stability
I can confirm that Dark Knight v.3 is much more stable than v.4.
Upgrading to v.4 I found these bugs:
1) After the first reboot I activated the wi-fi toogle and it started to switch on and off repeatedly. The system error that appears every time forces you to reboot the device.
2) Many users reported problems with titanium backup (I didn't try it)
3) Trying to move an application to USB (SD) causes a hotboot ( !!!! )
4) The new "Dark Knight" application crashes if you try (f.ex.) to install a new theme or a new battery icon ... after this crash you can no more change the battery icon from the ROM control menu.
I upgraded from Dark Knight 3, wiping everything before flashing as recommended. I made a second try upgrading from the original gingerbread 2.3.3 by Samsung (and wiping everything of course). The result was the same in both cases.
Stable DK4
If someone has flashed a stable DK V4 pls post the procedure that you have performed
Thought of going after this rom. But its better to wait for some better version in future with lesser bugs

Agree, this v4 versión is near to unusable for now, hope next version will be much better
Im currently on S5570XWKT6 and i was really an active person using transparent status bar when i was using CM7
but
unfortunately i lost my eyes to stable roms.. my question is i tried flashing it with CWM but still didn't work.. afterwards i tried to wipe cache and flash it again but still it didn't work.
I used UOT KITCHEN for editing it since that is where i usually do when i was still using cm7..
