This is my first android phone with stock rom . I had an HD2 and only custom roms i have used. Why the wi-fi take so long to connect when turn on? With hd2 was almost instant connect 2-4 sec sensation xl want more than 10 sec to connect. Also the signal in my bedroom (far from rooter) with Hd2 was ok but with xl i have some disconnections. The HD2 is almost 3 years old phone in this new models must be better hardware right?
This is because of stock rom and devs will improve the rom and fix those bugs/problems?

I'm using capy's ROM with no such problems it's been great since I load it I didn't had such problems thou with the stock ROM

No probs with wifi connect at all with stock rom. 2 to 3 secs if that and connected. I have however had a few dropped connections but with cappys rom all seems well

Hi, first welcome
And I have had the exact same issue. I clean wiped everything and I still got the same problem.
I have flashed 1.5 today so I will let you know. It hasn't happened yet so I am hopeful.
Did it start to charge after a restart? That's what mine did.
cb.de did say there was a lot of permission conflicts in the thread so it could have been down to that. We will see.

There are some more problems.
First the camera did Not work with Skype. The Person in the other side See only a green screen.
And i have the Same Problem with battery and after a restart You can charge your battery

I am not having the same issues with v1.5, are you?
Or is this using 1.5?
no with v1.4. i want to try v1.5 later.
The screen on the wife's XL seems to have died. Everything else works, i can use adb and fastboot and pull files from the sdcard
Screen doesn't even work in hboot/fastboot
any ideas guys? how could I do a full factory reset from adb/fastboot (obviously I cant see anything on the screen to navigate menu's etc)
If it dosent work in bootloader, a factory reset will not help, as it has no effect on bootloader. It's going to need sending back for repair.

Weird phone just started working again on its own! If it happens again I think it'll have to go in for repair. Problem is that if I send it in while it's working knowing HTC they will just say no fault found :-\

It might be a loose connection between mobo and screen. Just try not to throw it about too much, see if that helps

This sounds exactly like the problem I had on my Incredible S, it would be fine, then the screen would just turn off, if you took the battery out and turned it back on again you could hear the sound, the lights came on and the vibration worked, then it'd be fine again. In the end I had to knock the top of the screen and it would work again.. Until one day I knocked it too hard and lost my temper.

Sounds exactly the same apart from the knocking bit. I tried to revive it, and no joy. So I put it down and a couple of hours later the wife picked it up and it powered on and the screen was working again. Nothing to jolt a loose connection
Oh well, will just have to see how it goes

I'm having similar problems, I think. Mine started around two weeks ago. First symptom was screen took around 3-5 mins to turn on when I unlock my phone. Then I noticed rainbow lines, especially while charging. Eventually the issues got worse and I took it in for repair. Pulled my phone out last week while they take their sweet ass time to ship a replacement screen to the Philippines.
Workaround is to NEVER turn off the screen, and do a hard reset in case it does turn off.

hi guys,,
i am using my xl since 6 mnths wid out any problem but since last 10 days when i full charge my battery as it shows green light,, i unplugged my charger and after i unplugged my charger in about 30 sec or 40 sec battery turns 99%..
i want to mention dat my battery runs about 1and half day wid normal use and my phone is not rooted and its on stock 4.0.3!!!
can any 1 help to solve dis problem!!!

You can't do anything. Beside that HTC and other manifactures do so, that 10% of the battery to drain faster in order to keep it longer allive. So from 100% till 90% always drops like stone in water
But you can always try another battery just to be sure that your battery is ok.....

While I'm trying to take a call (when someone calls me) during the first ringtone immediately my smartphone shuts off, also when I try to call someone it immediately shuts.

Hey, how do you mean it "shuts". Does the Display turn dark or the phone completly shuts down / crashes?

I completly aggree with anders3408,
use your warranty no matter what they say. The condition is that your phone is fully stock so that you've warranty! Explain them the error and if they say it's fixed but it isn't do it again. I don't know where you come from but in germany after the 3rd or 4rd time you can make a change and you'll get the money back. (Not the full money of the phone but the actual worth of the phone).

Hi! i am using HTC Sensation XL for more then 2 years and it was good but suddenly it keep restarting and speed is also very slow. I do both Soft and Hard restart but it make no effect on it. My phone is in original form mean its not rooted. What i need to do now ???
Sorry to hear that. If you didn't unlock the BT and root, then service is all that left. Mine is also 2 years old and i am on stock. But never had such troubles.
You sure the phone wasn't got wet or something, coz i think it's kinda hardware prob....
