Not sure what exactly you mean. Do you want to apply a stock KK1 and then apply CF-Root? If that's the case, of course you can do it, but KK1 is now obsolete: you should upgrade to KKA instead. That is unanimously considered the most stable version yet. There is a KL3 around, but people are having problems with it.
Now the bad news: you will get flamed for posting a question in a dev-related forum. There is a Q&A section for questions, but to be honest, if I had to post a question about ROMs, here's where I would post it too. There's a sort of no man's land for general ROM-related questions (not relative to any specific ROM): you cannot post them to the Dev thread because you get flamed, and you cannot post them to the Q&A thread because you won't get any answer, since very few devs would read them. So yeah, I would risk the flaming and post them here... Just make sure you mark them as questions (as you properly did), so people can skip your post if they want to.

You need to root + install CWM into your device before flashing to another ROM of any choice that you like.

There are instructions everywhere on how to flash it. Also, thats an old version, the new KJ3 released today
step 1. dont post questions in dev forum
step 2. ???
step 3. profit
I'll get straight to the point....
Despite stickys and forum announcements most of us are still finding ourselves becoming terribly, terribly vexed at the amount of [Q]'s cluttering the dev section...
Therefore, from now on, if you do not follow the rules outlined below, you will be infracted. Break them again and you may find yourself unable to post anything at all on any forum!!
[Q]Surely thats a bit harsh aint it??
[A]Not really....
We've tried to be nice about it but that clearly doesnt work.
If you cannot read and abide by the simple rules in this sticky then I dont know how you're going to manage to hack your device without running into trouble.
The Dev section is NOT for asking questions.....
The Dev section is NOT for general topics..........
All threads posted MUST be prefixed with a description of the thread, [ROM] / [Kernel] etc etc.....*
*(Not planning on being particuarly strict on this. You guys (the devs), know how to title a thread.... just a pointer for new devs.)
Basically, unless your thread is to actually release something or discuss something of a very technical and n00b unfriendly nature, it doesnt belong here!
Pretty simple really.....
If you see something that shouldnt be here then PM me....
I will try to check in as reguarly as I can but I have a few sections to keep an eye on and believe it or not, a life outside XDA
Yes thats right, there is life outside XDA

This is a direct quote from the sticky at the top of this forum. Read around before you post. This would have been received much better in the Q&A Forum. Because its a question. And nowhere close to a development.
Thread locked. xCRZYx, post your question in the Question and Answer forum. This is development only.

Depends if you want to go for CM or Stock.
If you want to go for stock, then flash the non bootloader ROM via Odin. Otherwise flash a custom recovery via Odin and install a CM7 based ROM.

Oh sorry, I was on my phone when I replied to that and I assumed you were the OP so my bad.
Because they are both an s3 but the i9305 has lte where the i9300 so they have been lumpt in the same section but then seperated with a i9300 q&a and a i9305 q&a threads. Most only see the i9300 as its second hence why we get alot of i9305 questions in the i9300.
I don't visit the i9305 q&a so I have no Idea if there is alot of i9300 people in there.
Report there posts and get them moved to the i9300 area if you like.
If someone could just post the link for the best way to install recovery on 4.3 would be nice... Because i always end up with stock recovery
Apologies again for posting in the wrong area,
but this thread seems to have gone completely off topic, I would have thought that with all the debating about placement of my thread that at least one of my questions might have been answered
JUST A THOUGHT
First time in forum.
Iterested in learning the correct way to flash firware to my phone and have fun customizing it.
I tried looking for a question and answer section but couldn't find one.
In what section can I post a question about flashing firmware?
Thanks!

Hi flaco#1!
Welcome to XDA
I noticed you already found a place to post a question (here) but your device section is here: Samsung Galaxy A12 (I'll ask someone to move it).
You can post any questions you have there but make sure to search for answers first!
Have fun ^_^
