[Q] Suggestions for next theme?

Ok guys I want your input on this.
Tomorrow I'm going to finish up the Iconic theme and then there will be pretty much no reason for updates on it as of yet. Which means I'm going to start on a new theme, so here's my question.
If you guys could have any theme on your phone, that is not currently supported, which one would it be?
The first theme to get mentioned 5 times (not by the same person, i'm watching you k0g and beemer hahaha j/k) will be the next theme available for the LG Revo. When you figure out what theme you want, make sure you link a post to it so I can ask the creator if I can port it to our phones.
Now for the other good news. Once a theme gets established, I will port it to Home-Less AND Revolt. So get those wheels turning and figure out what is the ultimate theme that you want.
Also keep in mind, if the theme is already on a 4G device, that would be a tremendous help!

very cool, wouldn't mind having that for the revolt rom.

I'm looking for a burnt orange minimal theme. I like slick and clean. Iconic fits that bill. But if anyone sees a burnt orange and dark gray...

Well since we have 3 votes for the Synergy Blues theme already, I went ahead and sent CleveRuse a PM asking if I can port it over. Chances are that he will say yes because in his OP he states that most of his stuff was taken from several different themes anyway.

I like dark green, but hasn't found a good one yet. Might have to break down and finally build a Linux kitchen box to kook my own

Well I got a PM back that says it's ok for me to port it over. So in about an hour I'm going to be going home to get dinner and grab my laptop then will be starting on this tonight. Just might have it done by morning too. Stay tuned kids!

Thanks for all the work my man. I'd be down for anything minimalist and black. I'll try to look around tomorrow to see if I can find interesting.

Agreed! Very nice! I found another last night, but this one is better. This one gets my vote!

I seem to have hit a snag with both themes. It seems as if the guy with the blue theme wants every single bit of credit if I port this theme over, I'll be pretty much redoing every single icon he has and therefore will not give him full credit.
The orange theme that I posted, every single link is down and when I did get the download page to come up, it's saying that the entire theme is only 1.17mb.
Gonna have to start looking again.

I know you already came up with the next theme but I would love to have a black and red theme on this. Also, I think if you could help mt get the green and black theme set in stone on Revolt it would be awesome as well.

I liked the MauKang5 theme on my Eris. Anyway to get that on the Revo? I prefer your Iconic notification icons though. Mahalo for your hard work Spc.

Theme app

I've wondered about this for a long time now and with all these themes being released I think it is even more needed. I'm no good at coding but I know a few people who took android app classes in my college. I was thinking about trying my hand at it with the aid of their book and hopefully some people on here and my friends from school. Who would want a theme chooser app. Name will probably be something along the lines of Flash Themes. let me know what you guys think.
Also, I have no idea how to go about doing any of this but I feel like a bum using everything that everyone has been making for this phone without giving something back.

That would be dope! Yeah I wish I could contribute more. All I've done was post the vs910zv6 tot and some testing. Not that helpful.... Hopefully we have more people like you willing to contribute

I know what you mean man, swype theming was about the extent of my knowledge ( and I learned that on the fly as well).
At any rate, a theme app would be awesome!

Well I was talking to the cubed in the irc tonight about my thoughts. He thought it was an awesome idea. But then he realized that 2.2.2 doesn't support on the fly theme switching. So we have to wait for 2.3 or cm7. Cm7 does cone with it's own theme picking app but I still plan to make this one do we can have all the themes that someone might make.

Haro might not be much help but I know if you download one of droidth3ory roms for the thunderbolt you could pull his theme chooser out of it and take a look at his coding on it. Of course that is based on 2.3 but it might help you study up on some stuff.

I found someone the other day who knows what they are doing with Android apps to help me out with this. I have almost everything installed on my Windows desktop and plan to start on it sometime next week. If anyone who has made a theme could give me the Okay to put their theme into this it would be awesome since without that I don't have it app it would be much appreciated.

If I can get this newer theme going at 100% then you can definitely throw it in with your app! Thanks for "taking the bull by the horns" on this project man. Nice to see someone step up and take a project head on.
I was like this when I made my very first ROM for the HTC Eris. Other ROMs were out but I didn't feel I was getting the speed and functionality that my phone could have. So I sat down one night and started reading, messing around with things and downloading programs on my laptop. 1 week later I had my first ever ROM! Everyone that installed it, loved it. Had to pull the first version because Wifi would connect, then disconnect, then reconnect (you get the picture lol).
Anyway, long story short. Sometimes if you want something done, you have to do it yourself. Glad you're doing this Haro and I can't wait to see how it turns out!

In the process of deodexing the system apps right now, then will get to the framework and upload them when they're done.
EDIT: Deodexing keeps stopping so I didn't get them all. If anyone deodex's these apps, please let me know so I can link to them here as well.

I was using xUltimate but I kept getting errors. Other than that I have no idea lol. Maybe the Android Kitchen can do it on Ubuntu. I'm gonna try that out tomorrow.

XDA admins explained to me once that they want to wait to see if there would be enough interest in a particular phone. If there is development for it, they will likely create a forum for it.

Probably the same thing that happened to the Prime. Shipped with HC and like 3 weeks later got ICS. They just want the phone out there to get buzz going and then they make everyone feel good and update it to ICS so it seems like they care a lot more than they do. Plus t gives them the 1 update to the newest firmware that most phones get.

I'm at the point where I'm all caught up now so I figured I would ask you guys if you have seen, heard, or found anything cool lately. Like I guess there is an extended battery out that doesn't require a new backing. Anything guys Haha I'm desperate!

Gingervolt with the adw launcher and a sweet theme is awesome! Everyone I know with their droids are jealous of how cool my revo looks, I don't tell them about adw though hehe

Revo-Themes *Official Website*

Hey everyone!
So I started my own website (a free one of course) and just wanted to let everyone know about it here. I'll still post all my themes here, but all links will be posted on the site. I've added some custom stuff to the site but it's still under construction. If you go check it out, please comment here and let me know your ideas and stuff like that. Some of the features of the website:
Little introduction on the home page
Sidebar with Revo and Esteem themes listed with their current version (needs changed)
Recent photo uploads
Ability to subscribe to the site
Photo gallery separated by theme
News section containing when a theme was updated (there will also be actual news included in this section as well)
Downloads section, separated by device for all my themes
Contact section where you can drop me an email if you have something on your mind.
One main feature I'm going to add very soon will be a changelog section that will be separated by device.
Since there will never be a shortage of themes to be made, I'm actually starting to think about making this into an actual small company. So if some of the other themers would like to talk about it, send me an email or PM or something so we can talk it out. Regardless of me getting a new phone in a couple weeks, I will still own this Revo and will continue to make new themes for it until no one else has it lol.
By the way, very soon there will be an official Revo-Themes twitter, facebook and Google+ accounts.

Nice phone little less heavier than the Revo, bigger battery but the standby time for the Nexus is 150 hours and the Revo's is 335 hours but the Usage time is 720 mins for the Nexus and 435 mins for the Revo not sure how that worked out. But it's gonna be bad when you run out of memory (that is if you do) on the Nexus since of it only having 32gb of Internal and no Sd card

I'm a neat freak and constantly delete stuff off my phone so I'm not worried about that. I never have very many apps on my phones either. Bottom line though, you can't go wrong with a Nexus device.
