Usb debugging

I just got my hands on a LG Revolution and im trying to root it but i cant get it to connect with usb debugging it will only charge and file transfer any ideas??

Go to settings applications development. Click usb debugging. Try that.

Well if that didn't work not sure then maybe someone else can jump in. You could try doing a factory reset and trying it that way.

Low battery beeps

Does anyone know how to remove the beeps when ur phone gets below 15%? Sent from my VS910 4G using xda premium

I'm not sure, but if anyone knew how to get rid of them, and the pop up notification, I would be grateful

you can find it using a file explorer of some type (like root explorer) in /system/sounds/effect
I would imagine you could either delete the file or find another sound and replace it.

You could also change at what percent it displays that message and sound in the xml default is 15% you could change it too 1%. Don't have it readily available but framework-res.apk/res/values and it is one of the xml's in there of course you need too decompile the apk too be able too read the xml and too even get a values folder for that matter.

So I deleted the sound file. Now I have a Droid beatbox that I didn't put in there and I can not get it to stop when I have any notification. I have tried replacing and put a file in with no differences. Any ideas?

I had an old phone that made weird noises, I threw it at the wall, it stopped.
I will let you guys figure this out, and I will let Mt put it in an update. Yep, the lazy man's way.

I had it removed in my initial revolt rom, but had complaints. If people want it though, I will change it lol. I do have a few things cooking up hopefully soon lol. Been busy, lazy, and out of it for a little while, but will be back up and running really soon!

So the update didn't fix the low battery beeps, but it seems like I'm always dealing with low battery beep at night. How hard is it to lower the percentage its really annoying.

It beeps at 1%. I left that as a warning of get your phone plugged in or its going to die for myself. If your battery is that low when going to bed why don't you just turn it off?

I think the only theme so far that implements the 1% change is the cyan one drt is working on...actually I'm not sure of he put that up yet but I know it's done.

This is definitely an improvement over stock but nothing compared to what you can do through the EQ on Power Amp. Now thats an app worth every penny if you love music!

Other posts on Beats suggests there is some kind of UI to change the settings such as sound affects and choosing a different equalizer.. I got nothing, anyone else?? OR we just have the basic filters and still can't change anything?
Either way.. just plugged it into my car audio.. it is fantastic!!!!

Beats is open now.. shouldn't have been taken down anywhere..

i cant get mine to work.. i flashed the .zip file. after i flashed it i went to root explorer and went to the bin,lib,ect where the files are suppose to be in and it wasnt there.. so the did it manually and it was still a no go??

Really weird but I went to those folders and couldn't find the files either. I can definitely hear the difference but none of those files are on the /system lol.

Replacing revo

Called Verizon about losing data connection , they are sending a samsung droid charge to replace my revo. Is this good or bad ?

Bad. I had the Revolution, then went to the Charge after my Revo got stolen. I had the Charge for about a week and sold it for another Revo. The only thing better about the Charge is the display. Beautiful screen!

I guess ill hve to try it out lol if I don't like it they said they'd get me a revo back. I just keep losing data connection for some reason with the revo , doesn't seem to matter what rom im running either.

It did it stock as well. Verizon replaced the phone with a refurb and it done it too. That's when I decided to try gingervolt out. It seemed to help , but the issue was still there just not as often

Lost my bluetooth also , I downloaded the bluetooth fix and flashed it but it didn't help. Still force closes when I turn on bluetooth and try to pair with a device

Well used!

I have an LG thrill that has acidhazard 4 and Prometheus 1200 kernel. Probably a half dozen other types of tweeks and whatnot. It won't read the sd card.
First it didn't read the sd card, then it spontaneously developed a PUK lock after being unlocked and using tmobile prepaid sim card.
Anyone know how I can get it to read the sd card? I am moving on to the LG lucid and want to give it to someone who will appreciate the time wasted getting a tiny tweak everywhere there was to get it but the sd card thing ain't cool

Thanks all around! This forum is great! My wife wants it but if I convince her to let me give her one of these "lg lucid" then you can have it dark. And on a side note, there is some stuff in this stock Rom that looks like you were part of the build. "Stock" root? If you were then you guys did an awesome job.
