White Vivid backlight on nav keys - HTC Vivid, Raider, Velocity

Does anyone else have a white vivid that the navigation keys are useless because of the backlighting?
Mine is so dim that even in a dark closet it is hard to see.

Yup...same here...I have the white...I think its htcs way of increasing battery life

Question about the trackball and or led light

Is there any way to change the color of the trackball from being white? I've seen other android phones do it but not sure if the hero can... same question for the led light at the top.. can it be changed from that green color for notifications?

You only have amber and green up top. White only for the trackball.
So there isn't a way to change the color for the led?

most android phones have a RGB LED for their notifaction, we only have red green as such you can have any color that is red green or orangey
if you were interested in swapping it out then yes in theory you could do more but those LED's are tiny and soldering them can be a pain
Oh alright thanks for the info. Seems like a lot of work to do...lol

This doesn't remove the yellow tint, simply calibrates the colours. You may be able to make the tint a little less noticeable but mines is still there on the bottom 1/3rd of the screen.

Can you please give a picture of your phone with yellow tint.
Btw, the yellow tint is because of poor calibration. so calibrating your screen should fix it..
Thanks,

Tints that affect only portions of the screen are unfixable. Color control apps alter the color of the entire screen so there will always be a portion that is missed colored if you have a phone with an uneven tint like mine.
Only thing you can do is RMA it which is what I did. I'd much rather have a full tinted phone than a half tinted one.

[Q] Colors on the led notification?

I searched everywhere but so far every review fails to mention the led on the phone. Is it like that one x where it has one green and orange light or is it one multi colored light?
Thanks

HTC deem it as a 'trademark' so you will probs never see a full RGB notification light. Which is a shame tbh.

could be multi led.so sad
That's a shame. Seems like it's the only thing missing in this beast. Too bad it won't be available here for at least another month. Thanks to everyone who answered!

Question about LCD density

I noticed that when I edited the LCD density to be 360 it works great however I noticed that the search bar in the dialer moved to the top if the screen rather than staying in its home on the bottom of the screen. Any way to fix that?

Just a quick update. I was able to fix this issue by using a density of 400. Not quiet so small but big enough that the launcher no longer dies this.

Display issue after reboot

For some reason. After I reboot everything is lighter colored. So instead of sark gray its light gray. Instead of a dark green hangouts icon its lime green. And its like that on everything for about 30 minutes or so...anyone know what that is?

Nvm. Turns out the wallpaper makes a difference. But the keyboard is still supper light. Almost white instead of dark gray

It's probably a power saving feature for the lcd. The contrast changes depending on how much black there is on the screen
