[Q] Dutch spelling correction on ICS teamhacksung - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi there,
I just found out how to use custom roms and I am now running team hacksungs ICS (build 11) on my i9000. But there is one thing thats bugging me.
There is no dutch language pack installed. So the text to speech and the dutch spelling correction don't work.
Is there a way to install a dutch 'language pack' or something like that?
Thanks in advance !

Amsterdamdude,
I have the same question...
Do you know how to do it?

No, unfortunately I don't...
I searched everywhere, but there is no answer. I think teamhacksung just has to implement the dutch dictionary into their code
I now use onesomics port which does have the dutch dictionary.
Hopefully teamhacksung will include the dictionary soon, cause I like their port a little better.
Please, if you find a cure, let me know.

Depends on the build, you need to have the build with all the european langauges

How about installing a different keyboard? I use SwiftKey, amongst others, and can activate any language.

Add input language to JPH?

JPH does have greek locale and menus, but no greek input language for either samsung or swype. This doesnt look very "final" to me. Anyway, is there any way to bring back the missing input languages?

Mate, the current JPH release is for XX/OXA (=UK) region.
It is not supposed to contain all the languages.
There will be XW and XF a firmware too.
You need to wait for the XW release as it contains Swype and XT9 with Greek support.
Thanks Richtofen!
It is totally possible.. Now i've answered this kind of thread many times.. Maybe we should have a sticky.. You will need to root.. Anyways.. This thread will explain it.

[Q] RTL Hebrew and numbers

Hello,
I installed android 2.3.3 on my Galaxy S i9000 and it's work just great
The only problem I have is Hebrew & number RTL order.
I installed MultiLing Gingerbread Keyboard with English & Hebrew plug-in.
When I try Hebrew and numbers the numbers in wrong order.
e.g. if I try to type 40 (forty) I'm getting 04 (Zero & four).
I tried to change the RTL settings in the keyboard but didn't help.
Any idea ?
It's not happen in all application.
In the email or Google search it's fine.
Buy WhatApp or SMS it's not fine
wait for the Israeli developers will fix the problem...
there isn't fix...
if you want a RTL support use PilotX Full Hebrew or download Darky and than install the hebrew fix for darky.
or other option flash one of the three stock Israel stock ROMs (Orange, Cellcom, Pelephone)
RTL Hebrew and numbers
Thanks but I'm using 2.3.3 and Orange / Cellcom / Pelephone ETC don't use this ROM

[Q] Doc&Stefunel's Rom Kitchen: Available Languages per Base-ROM

I searched and read almost every Post but no answer - maybe it is just too easy or i am blind? I hope not!
I cooked a new ROM in Doc and Stefunal's Kitchen yesterday (okay, i admit, i tried multiple times and got language problems i never had when i used the kitchen before.
Does the language or locale have to be included/available/compatible with the Base-ROM you choose or does it just relate to the CSC you choose?
When i tried "*NEW* ZSJPK v11.1 WIPE" after a factory reset everything was Chinese (or Japanese) and the only readable alternatvies i could choose from were US and British English. Ever after i retried with a german (DBT) CSC no german locale was available.
Now i try do understand... Where do the languages / locales reside and what else needs to support or be compatible with a certain language to make it available in the whole system?
Thanks in advance - i hope this is not a stupid question answered a hundred times before...
Languages are usually part of the theme.

The Theme??? Even the Settings-Menus and Stuff? If i can not choose German and the Dialogues are in English that's the fault of the Theme!?
Ok, that was not one of the options i thought of...

Languages are part of the framework and are usually specific to the region of the release. So if a release is intended for Holland it will include Dutch and English.
However the themes completely change the framework, including languages. Since themes are meant to be universal they include as many languages as possible, solving the problem of region specific builds.

[Q] How to get add Chinese language on Criskelo ROM?

I'm using Criskelo ROM and it's awesome. The only thing missing is the Chinese language pack to send or type in Chinese Pinyin. Well, I have downloaded MoreLocale but that doesn't solve my problem.
I'm using as English for the ROM but I just want the keyboard input language switching.
Can someone give me a guide to add language pack to the ROM by flashing additional apk or push to the device? If better and Criskelo can hear me, please add in the additional language in your future ROM.
Thanks!!!!
just use google pinyin?
