Free app " lte switch" for at&t vivd - HTC Vivid, Raider, Velocity

LTE SWITCH . now that my bootloader is unlocked and i flashed holicakes 0.3 beats audio rom. with the lte switch app. it lets me turn my lte off, to only hspa, or to even only edge... now i can save a ton of battery.. all vivid owners should download it... i know the bell raider people already have this option in there mobile network section of there phone. but us vivid people dont..

@OP,
if you are going to post an app in this section, it might help to post a link to the market app....
is this it?
https://market.android.com/details?...S5nZW9mZnJleWJ1dHRlcmNydW1icy5sdGVzd2l0Y2giXQ..

This works for sure with the Vivid? I see only thunderbolts, bionics and droids reviews, I thought is only for Verizon users?
Edit: looks like a shortcut to *#*#4636#*#* in the dialer?
Sent from my HTC Vivid via Tapatalk

yes using it on my vivid right now

Just tried it on my vivid with AT&T stock ROM just rooted, it would not switch off the default.
Sent from my HTC PH39100 using Tapatalk

yea the stock rom is still lock... i am talkin about the unlocked flashed roms

You can also get the juicedefender app and let it manage your radios when it sleeps and it uses your network location to determine when to turn your wifi on.

Also I'm on boost mobile unlimited/shrinkage, my incredible was flashed to boost mobile, I pay $50 monthly, but my account balance is at $38, not sure if that applies to me not getting my 3g, since I already paid my monthly payment.

Possibly radio related. Try flash a newer radio
Edit: BTW you got the wrong thread buddy
First off, this should be in Q&A forum. This is not a development question.
Did you do a *228/PRL update, or did you turn the phone off while it was in airplane mode? If so, your 3G won't come back unless you follow the instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=817487
Flash the first gingersense leak by rmk40. Should fix it
-My life is a shooting range, people never change-
Your phone will not work on a Verizon ROM when its flashed to Boost.Boost is Sprint and will not work with the included radios etc that are for Verizon.I could be wrong but I'm fairly certain it won't work.
Sent from my Incredible Sensation 3D using xda premium
RADIOS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. I'm on cricket wireless running newts runnymede 3.5 with the latest 07.07 radio. after you flash the rom you want, you will then have to flash it to boost. I have used every incredible radio with many different roms. So your gonna have to search on how to flash the phone back to boost or pay someone to do it
Are you guys sure? Everything else is working, mms, calls, etc its just my 3g
Sent from my HTC Droid Incredible ADR6300 using XDA App
Did you use boost apns with apn backup and restore? With me on cricket my 3g always works its the mms I got to fight with. Was it originally a boost phone? Can you access epst, if so make sure its all set for boost sometimes when I flash a rom it changes my epst settings in the security tab and mip profile tab to vzw and I got to change them back

It does not retain the Selected APN. It automatically reverts back to LTE.
Hmm it should retain till it looses signal at least that how I saw my device behave.
The other option I can think of is use build.prop editor app and turn off from there. May be I should try to write my app for this .

App would be awsome.. I was using 4636 code on my aria and had no issues. For some reason , vivid does not retain it.
I have been looking for a rom that has the option open to select the preferred network type. I need to select gsm sometimes while troubleshooting the network and my modded aria would let me select the network type. It was loaded with cyanogen and I am wondering if I will have to wait til the cyanogen mod for the vivid is released to get control of this function. Having the ability to lock the phone into a select technology is very helpful when testing a cell site.

im looking for the same option too
but on stock ics vivid rom
Im using an app from play store called LTE OnOff and it serves the purpose.
I hat the option by default, but found it is also available in the app 4g test. Even allows to restrict to only lte.

t-mobile, orange and ee are all essentially the same network. I'm pretty sure that if you're not able to get a 4g signal ee will instantly switch over to on of the other 3g networks to ensure you have a signal at all times.
Don't worry - it will change eventually.
My HTC One X did the same for a few days.
I think it relies on a network update to come through.
Thanks I am on s tmobile contract.

[Q] 4G issue on HTC one

Dear All,
i had some issue with my HTC one device. i bought my HTC one model PN07120 and the seller said that it is supporting 4G LTE. in the setting of network i had found GSM / WCDMA / LTE i choose it and it is not working with the 4G LTE. i tried my sim card on other device and 4G working with out any problem. i had also do the APN setting and it is not working.
in my area the coverage is perfect and i use my sim card on another device which is supporting 4G LTE and it works. my provider is Omantel and they using frequency range in 18000 MHz.
however, i had tried some rom to upgrade my device to 4.2.2 jelly been and i successfully upgrade my device and still i had problem with 4G LTE.
i had use RUU to return my device as stock. now it is running on 4.1.2
is my device supporting 4G by knowing the model?
is it possible to have in the setting LTE option and the device not supporting 4G ?
if my device is supporting 4G ,how can i change the carrier frequency on my device?
our country's 4G frequency range is 18000 MHz
my device is making me crazy :crying:
please help me

Sent from my HTC One using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
If you could post your wireless provider information, especially what bands they're on, that still help people dig up the appropriate information.
For the purposes of this thread, I assume when you say 4G you mean LTE, and not HSDPA+

You're welcome. Another question. Is this your first LTE device? There could be the possibility your carrier doesn't get LTE coverage where you're at.

I would hope not either. I love mine, but you could try rooting it and putting a custom Rom on it. There's s chance it could he an issue with your kernel too. And if that doesn't work you can unroot and just send it back.

IIRC Omantel is in the middle east. I'm not sure where you got the phone, but I believe you actually want a stock phone who's MID is PN0710000. This seems to be the appropriate model for Europe/Middle East which has LTE (4G) support for 800/1800/2600.
The PN0712000 supports LTE on 700/AWS. This the the current model I have over here in Canada.
Hope this helps.

No

You will have to call Sprint International Services and tell them you are traveling overseas and if you meet certain requirements they will unlock it. If not you will just have to wait for somebody to find a fix if you want it unlocked.
To the 2 ppl that replied (and anyone out there) did you tried popping an att/tmobile Sim and see if it works? the m7 came unlocked no?

The M7 did not come unlocked. It was the same thing with that phone. You had to call to unlock it, internationally. It was them sim unlocked for all but you had to be rooted.
