It's under 'Settings' then under 'Tablet Tweaks' there are a couple of optiond to choose, including if 'AM' or 'PM' are displayed.

Where the "tablet tweaks" you are talking about? can't find it in Settings. I'm using WebOS.

Couple of registry settings, search on here sucks.....

I have searched on here but the results are somewhat erratic.....
I would like to know the registry keys/settings for the following so I can cook my ROM to be good from fresh:
1. Display the clock on the title bar in all programs
2. Automatically change the time zone and clock. (Phone settings)
3. Disable all incoming beams (Infrared)
Thanks
Andy
1=use the clock settings
2= idk sorry
3= turn off your IR

He needs to be in a registry, not doing it manually.

Actually, all of those settings can be changed without touching the registry. They are all setting the user can change.

Yeah, but thats not his question. Re-read his post. He wants to be able to cook a rom that has these setting built into it so he doesn't have to change it after flashing / hard reset.
As for the answers, I think the timezone and settings can be found here:
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Clock . THere is GMT_OFFSET, HomeDST, TZIndex located here.
Hide the Bean icon in the conections tab...
HKLM/controlpanel/beam - DWORD Hide = 1 / softreset

That just hides the IR Beam Icon from Settings, Connections..... I want to un-tick the box 'Receive all incoming beams'
I have managed to find the Display the clock on the title bar in all programs though:
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell\TaskBar]
"LimitedClock"=dword:0
Any takers for the other stuff?
Andy
Did you see this from my post above?

Yes I saw that but that isn't it...... I have 2 Wizards and the registry values are the same on both under this key, however one has 'Automatically change time zone and clock' checked while the other doesn't....

[Q] Status/Notification bar auto hide

Hi everyone,
Sorry, me again. Sound fixed Applied the wifi utility mentioned in a thread on here and low and behold, the sound stays. Bizarre.
Also fixed my webOS issues, thanks for the tips.
One more little thing.
I am running the 10.1-20131210-snapshot-vpn-tenderloin ROM
Now, I always (I am sure) on previous builds used to have the status/notification bar (with the time, wifi signal and notifications) visibile at the top when on the home screen.
It currently hides when the home screen is shown and appears when an app opens.
I have made various changes under "System>Status Bar", "System>Quick Settings Panel" and "System>Notification Drawer" but nothing seems to have an effect on this
Can anyone help?
I like to be able to swipe the quick settings and notifications from the home screen but currently cannot
Cheers
Andy

Just long tap on it and select Details to see what is it.
Turns out it was auto rotate and because of systemui tuner. It doesn't show up normally though

Hide "running in the background" Notification did not fully work on my Mate 10, since in some instances I still kept getting them notifications for few seconds, however I solved this using the mentioned app with these notification settings:
1. Hide "running in the background" Notification enabled with granted Notification Access Permission;
2. When Android System notification is triggered Long press on "Android System" notification in the notification panel -> hit "More Settings" -> Disable "Allow notifications" and set "Lock screen notifications" to "Never".
After I did this my phone no longer shows Android System notifications and all other app notifications work with no issues.
not Work!!
not working here also
Os working for me. With this app I get no more notifications of background processes
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.joaomgcd.autonotification&hl=en
Use this app and add a notification block "running in the background" make sure the checkbox for case insensitive is check.

Thank you. Worked great for running in background and displaying over other apps notifications.
i used this program
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...tification&rdid=com.joaomgcd.autonotification
I´m using Automate with this flow (http://llamalab.com/automate/community/flows/15941), that´s works for me. (no root needed)
If your device language isn´t english, simply change the string "running in the background" with other that proceeds, for example, in spanish: "se está ejecutando en segundo plano".
The trick is, Oreo lets you snooze a notification, this flow simply snooze it for a very long period of time, and reapply it if appears again.
I'm using this method .
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-10/themes/hide-running-background-notifications-t3748289
Ok, i have a solution for the problem, no app is necessary.
Open settings
Open Apps
Click below on More
Then click on show system processes
Click on Android System
Click on Notifications
Then click on Apps running in background
And turn off Allow Notifications
That's it!
Does this work in android 10?
