[Q] Low Battery! Can't Download! - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I get this error whenever my phone is plugged into the wall and I try to access download mode. Nothing happens otherwise: Low Battery! Can't Download!
After this error quickly flashes it proceeds to show me a frozen battery screen flashing on and off times infinity.
is there any way to charge the battery aside from buying another battery or an external charger?
Any other advice, those who have had a similar issue?
Thanks in advance.

+1 I'm having this same problem.

Why are you trying to access download mode while charging?
Does it work if you don't try to access download mode?
Does it charge from USB?

Resolved with an external charger
Bought a crab charger yesterday for $2 and charged the battery, and the battery is now fully charged for work.
So the external charger did the trick....
For some reason the Samsug phone does not carge when it is in the emergency recovery mode..

To charge normally (fast), turn off phone, plug charger, wait for a minute (till the charging animation goes off and phone is off again) and turn on phone. Now it will charge fast. This is the standard procedure for all CM10 ROMs. If you dont follow this, charging will be slow.
Fast response and simple answer! Thnx man!

Even a simple reboot with the charger plugged in does the trick.

Use a charge cable to charge your phone. This cable must not connected to pins 2 and 3 at the usb part, i.e. this cable can't be used as a usb cable but just for charging.
Or you can find another charger to try.
I monitored the procedure and find that charging currency changed from 0.33A to 0.48A. So charging interval shortened from 5h to 3.5h.

Hi, I have a P970 that one day after completely discharged never turn back on, I do not have the receipt, I tried to open it and the problem is not the battery, also the charger is ok, the s / w upgrade mode not works, seems to be a problem with the motherboard, how can I fix this?

Try to charge your battery again. If after a while it gets hot that means the battery is charging,if not, then try to change your battery.

Strange shut down on Low battery

Hi everybody.. i'm encountering this problem with my HTC one. When I reach the 20 %-9 % range of the battery the one shut down. Try to reboot and shut down again on lock screen.then I'm forceed to put it on charge. Why this strange behavior ? Battery is broken or not calibrated?or a bug? Please help !!

If i remember their is a battery calibration file somewhere in the system, if it is deleted it causes the phone to re-calibrate the battery gauge, have you tried a battery re-calibration app from the app store, i think this is what they do.

All stock!

If it`s all stock and you dont want to root, all you can do is full charge and then run it till it shuts down a couple of times and hope the battery gauge learns the true battery capacity, if this does not work.
Or you could try charging it to 100% and keep it plugged in, then do a restore to factory defaults while plugged in, then see if that fixes it.
If this does not work, you might have a faulty battery, get a replacement phone.

Found this fix online, see if it works.
Option 2: (No Root) Physical Battery Calibration This option is also very simple, but at the same time, a little more time consuming. If you have a rooted device, Option 1 is definitely the way to go. However, if you don’t know what “root” means, stick with Option 2 and go check out the root section of Android Authority.
Turn your phone on and charge it for 8 hours or more.
Unplug the charger.
Turn your phone off and charge it for one hour.
Unplug the charger.
Turn on the phone and wait 2 minutes.
Turn your phone off and charge it for one hour.
Unplug, turn it on and use as normal. Your battery life should now be a lot better.

Galaxy Note won't turn on. Weird behaiviour.

Hi,
I have a Galaxy Note GT-N7000. It was working properly until some day it did not turned on.
When the phone is unplugged form the USB port the phone does nothing, no power, no Download mode, nothing. Even thou I fully charged the battery with an external battery charger... You press power button and nothing shows.
When I plug the USB charger the one sign of life I get is the battery charging icon (image attached)... which shows and then goes blank every 10 seconds. That's all I can get from the phone...
I checked other posts and they say it might be a broken USB port, So i disassembled the phone and removed the USB port flex to check if it might be short circuiting the board; but no luck. When I remove the USB port the phone does nothing.
Any ideas? Could it be the phone has a broken USB port and that the phone can't power without usb port?
I think that you have a full brick. Did you flashed a FW before?

Nope. No flash.
Do you think its a software issue or a hardware one?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
I cant say it to 100% beacuse I am not an expert but it looks like a software defekt, and you wrote that you loaded your battery at an external station so your phone must reboot (cause your battery is full) but it doesnt. I think that your completely system is deleted and if you cant switch to recovery or download mode have you an big problem.

Your not getting an emmc hardbrick unless you flashed something in a silly fashion at some point more likely recently than not.
Did you try a different battery or not?
From a cursory review the first thing to try is a new battery and or new cable.
I am not sold yet that this is an issue with the main board or the DC in board.
+1 for new battery.

Jackpot. The battery was broken. Switched battery and phone turned on right away.
The battery was not swollen or anything, just not working properly.
Thank you all for the help.

The batteries have very short life span and very sudden extreme behaviours when they're at the end of their life. Glad you got it sorted.

[Q] Red LED

Guys I need your help
When I am charging my phone by a wall charger I get only the red LED . Whenever I try to turn on my phone the result is just the LED flashing 3 times . My phone was completely discharged for more than 2 weeks. Right now i have been charging it for 24 hours and still no signs for any improvement . Can you tell me what to do ?
Thank you
Undercurrent? I would assume that your battery is damaged. Change the battery and try again. I'm guessing you've tried other chargers and maybe a dock?
