Quick question - HTC Vivid, Raider, Velocity

Hey guys.. Been trolling around for years starting with a HTC touch. I recently got the raider and been watching the development going on recently since the unlock happened .
I was researching and realized how similar the evo 3d it's to our vivid.. How bad an idea would it be to try and port a ROM over to our little device ? atm i am not worried about not having lte available.
What's the thought on this idea?

are you on the new recovery and using the new update-binary posted in that thread?
also, check your updater-script and make sure that extra argument is in your format line

[GUIDE]How to Root The HTC Wildire "Bee"

EDIT:I have not tested this on 2.2 - I can only confirm that this will work on 2.1
First, install z4 root, located here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=446145&d=1290341328
Once installed, click "root" and let the app do its thing. The app will root your phone, but will hang before it is able to restart. Let it sit for a few minutes before pulling the battery. When you turn your phone back on, ensure that superuser is installed to make sure your root was successful.
Please read forums before posting guide thanks

The Wildfire I rooted was sold by Alltel, and the phone most certainly does not have a sim card slot. What would the phone be, if not CDMA?
If not sure what one you have look on google images since there is a big difference

Is this going to be any different than rooting with Super 1 click? I've already rooted that way, but if this will open up things better, I'll redo mine...

There's the problem. CWM and rom manager don't play well with this device. Go to bootloader, open a command line and write fastboot erase cache. Then flash another recovery like wcx or twrp and all should be fine.
You also need to open said zip and get the boot.img out... and either use flashimg GUI or fastboot to install said boot img

Also... grab the new nightly... it has a framework change...

Yea I would have to agree wcx recovery is the best out right now. As far as the low in call volume, it seems all roms excluding wildchilds rom has the same issue. There has to be a way to pin point the issue as it will make Alot of ppl happy!

Calm your t*ts. Dont be a d*ck to members. I rememver when I was a noob, I would just skim over general section and not even bother with Dev section, as nothing new happened there. Besides, he might have had the need to tell someone, or this might be a thread where you share your thoughts.

From recovery - Formatted all partitions (except SD-Card), Flashed ROM, rebooted to Fastboot, flashed boot.img.
And still getting green HTC on white background. Also tried to wait 5 minutes - nothing changed.
Maybe the problem is in HBOOT version? I've got Revolutionary 6.13.1002

I have also tried. I couldn't even get it to flash. I think the biggest problems is that we don't have a 4.2.2 base for the first yet. If we did it would be so much easier. I am still tinkering but I have a wife and three kids keeping me busy so I'm not getting very far very fast.
If you don't get an error flashing then you are further than I have been able to get. I would love to get this working but not sure how much help I can be.

Only a suggestion, but have you tried porting from the " HTC Evo 4G LTE " like devs did for the " HTC One XL " they manage to get a booting Sense 5 4.1.2, which is a stronger chance for this phone booting since there are no kernel devs that will patch up your kernel for 4.2.2.

[Q] Flashed ViperROM, Touchscreen not working

So i just flashed ViperROM for my Sprint HTC One and it seemed to install fine but when it boots up the touchscreen doesnt work so i cant even unlock my phone. Touchscreen works in TWRP so it must be a problem with the rom. Bad download maybe? Restoring a backup until i can find an answer.
I don't think it works with the new firmware that was released recently ..viperRom is from the 1.29 release
