Recently got a GT8.9 and have rooted. Does anyone know how I can remove the annoying tune that plays during boot? Thanks
Found my answer in the question thread at the top. Thanks

Hello all,
Have been away fm WM camp for a while (wandered to Symbian and iphone for a period of time) and recently got a 2nd hand Kaiser to play with.
Pls excuse this returning newbie question: do we still need to care about the notification issue? I use to install Scary Bear "Clear Notification" on startup. Do we still need that now? I have lots of appts with alarms, so I wonder if it will slow down my machine or make it unstable after a while.
I have searched a bit and it seems some people say it is still needed, some say it is now very stable and won't need.
Thanks in advance for your input.
Just wondering what your experience is on this issue. Thanks again.
Hey guys! I had a quick question. Every now and then when I'm doing a lot on my phone at once it gets bogged down then all I see is the boot screen as it boots up. I assume this means it crashed.
Wouldn't this be a ram issue? I've had this happen on several different roms.
Is there a way to test the ram and check? Or stress test it? I don't want to call HTC until I know its a hardware issue.
so i installed the app OCLF (one click lag fix) and installed oneclicklagfix V2.2+. everything seemed to go great i then followed this thread

i was checking on the thread and noticed that someone stated that the vibrate on the tab didnt work after installing. so i checked mine and to my surprise the vibrate didnt work
so i loaded up the app OCLF and clicked undo oneclicklagfix V2+. Now my vibrate works ....
does anyone know why this one click lag fix disables vibrate ????
This happened to me as well. I too would like to know an answer.
Thanks!

Hi guys, my first post here on XDA.
The Note is my first Android phone, I previously had an iPhone. I really like the Note, but the most annoying thing about it is that it will always wake up after a call is ended.
I always call using the headset cable, and I both answer and hang up calls using the headset button. The phone is in my pocket. After hanging up the call (using the button) I happily go on doing whatever I was doing before. Meanwhile, in my pocket, my Note happily continues making pocket calls and clicks around at random!
It's driving me absolutely crazy. How can I fix it? Is there a mod I don't know about? An app? I've tried downloading another dialer (DialerEx) but no luck. It's obviously an OS "feature".
I first noticed this on stock ROM, so I tried RocketROM v21 in hope that it was fixed there. No luck.
Can someone please point me to a fix? I'm even willing to hack kernel code to get rid of this!
Thanks

Edit: I of course posted this thread in the wrong forum just to show my noobieness. Can't find a way to move it to Q&A so I leave that to the moderators... Sorry!
Moved To Q&A
No Problem, its moved
I'm curious about this as well. I use a headset 95% of the time and this drives me crazy. It's got to be TouchWiz I think since my AOSP phones never did/do this.

I just compared this to my friend's HTC (Sense UI), and he also does not have this problem. I find it problematic if this is part of the TouchWiz UI, because we don't have access to the source code for that, right? So, no way of fixing it beside throwing out TW completely?
How about the ICS TW? I'm still waiting for a stable CM9 release before jumping on the ICS bandwagon, so can someone with the ICS leak confirm that this is till an issue?
Thanks in advance!
I've had 2 Kindle Fire HDs, the first one was exchanged because of the sound issue. I thought it was a bug on their part but apparently fly it was me because the 2nd ones sound went out too. For whatever reason, installing GO keyboard caused this. It's been about 6 months with no problems until yesterday I rooted. It seems that my sound goes out after adding or editing system apps. And that is dumb. I don't understand this type of stuff really so I'm hoping one of you can diagnose the true problem lol. Thanks in advance :good:
I fixed my issue with Volume Control+
I don't know how to delete this thread lol
