I have problem on my Milestone with MIUI WiFi.
Every other ROM works just fine (connects immediately thorough WiFi with the internet). Unfortunately every version of MIUI don't
I tried 1.14, 1.21 v2, 1.21v2, even 1.26 chinese. All those versions doesn't want to connect via WiFi.
I've done 3x wipe before and after instaling MIUI.
I've installed MIUI from several ROMS, official + vulnerable, 2.2.1. GOT, 2.1
and always with the same result. WiFi won't connect.
There's short thread about it on xda involving different mobile and using clockworkmod recovery + rom manager, but it's not confirmed and it used to not work on Milestone. Could cause damage, so i droped tryin in that way.
Anyone got any idea why WiFi doesn't want to work in MIUI on my Milestone?
Is there any app tool to discover the cause of lack WiFi connection? Maybe i can run it on my MIUI and show to some dev who will now what certain logs mean ?

Sad you never got an answer to this one - right now I have the very same problem. Happened after the last Miui update.
I have nothing but hope it will get better with the next one.
I have the same problem. On newest version of MIUI (1.5.13), and the 1.5.6 was the same. On 1.4.29 everything was fine. Now wifi is connecting, getting IP, and nothing happens (disconecting)
help pls, anyone can find the fix? where to post this problem ? I dont know chinese
Is your router N? If so, try to change it to work as G only. This is the only way I can make CM7 connect properly with my router, unfortunately, perhaps this helps you guys.
my router is Linksys WRT54GC, wpa (not wpa2) personal, tkip, b/g (not n)
so I dont know if "g only" will help, normally on every rom there is no problem, but from MIUI 1.5.6 problems started. Strange that this happens not to everybody, but to some of us only.
I can confirm that the bug is MIUI related cause I don't have it in CM7 on my HD2.
Sadly I couldn't find any solution yet.
In my case it was caused by luca/froyomod's dsi fix update.zip which I applied on miui, whole radio (wifi + data) wasnt working properly after that. Now I do it manually, or using dsi fix for miui made by eyebee in his thread, and great rom by the way. It feels much snappier, and better multitasking, lots better than pure Miui. Feeyo's, luca's, zeppelinrox's tweaks and other applied by eyebee do the great job on this rom. Great alternative for cm7. Of course kabaldan does also great job. Ok, EOT

I'm expecting exactly the same problem at the moment. Have You solved this issue? I think it is MIUI connected becouse I am on SGS with the same issue.
Same for me on 1.7.29 version.
This version of MIUI caused me alot of trubble.
First i bricked the phone (like an noobie formated system and bootloader) okay some how i got it fixed. Then I installed 1 version older 1.9.30 which caused my phone keept restarting due wifi power on (after restoration with included app) now my phone keeps restarting again (after update) and im really not in mood atm for any thing =/ cant get my apps backedup since phone keeps restarting.
is there any way to disable wifi without booting into android?
Hey, (sorry for my English)
i recently bought cheap Nexus One with broken WiFi. I thaught that it's a matter of old/ missmached radio or rom, so why not give it a try.
I flashed newest CM10, then some GB, but with no success.
On ICS when I enable WiFi, there is a message "Enabling WiFi", but nothing happens, on GB it's pretty the same, but phone hangs and falls into a bootloop, until I boot into recovery and wipe data. WLAN MAC address is listed as "unavailible" .
I flashed different radios. Phone came to me with some high radio, like 5.12.xx... (or something), i tried flashing 5.08.00.04 , or even 4.06.00.12_7 but still no success.
Do you have any idea of possible solution, or my WiFi chip is completly dead? Is it even possible, that all other things (sensors/calls/data/ everything) are working properly, but not the WiFi?

Video of what happens on GB, when i enable WiFi
Hello everyone...
I always flash new roms to my GN...most of them were working fine...but some of the roms seems have some problems....
After I flashed a new rom, it always works perfectly...i can reboot/ restart and restore the apps without any problem....but few days later....it reboots automatically...and stuck at boot screen...but even i search the thread of the custom roms...seems no one got this problem....I can boot to CWM ....and i tried to fix it ....even i install the rom again...it still stuck at the boot screen....and i finally wipe the data....then it can boot normally again....then i restore my apps once again....everything return normal..........for few days only....and it stuck at boot screen again....therefore....i can only enjoy the rom for few days (maybe 3-4 days)..work perfectly for few days....but it will crash accidently without any symptom..........
Then i tried other roms...........some roms dont have this problem (mostly aokp/aosp base)...and some roms usually have this problem (non-aokp/aosp base)....after suffer this problem several times for different roms.....i just think that it may not the rom's problem..but i cant figure out why this will happen....I reli want to know is there anyone got this problem too or any method to tackle this problem...
Thx alot and sorry for my poor english....
Exactly which ROMs reboot
Is it jellybean touchwiz ROMs?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
Yes..Touchwiz roms....for example...AmniX"-Xperia Note , SlimWizz5 Tablet...
Only work fine for 3-4 days....:crying:
You should reinstall apps from the market, restoring apps from backup may leave your phone in a strange state especialy in JellyBean.
you should also flash the JellyBean bootloader.
Hope that helps.
Hey guys,
Just been pounding on my desire c for a few hours diving in to trying something other than the stock rom to be rid of the lag issues.
I do like and have been trying the great Revolution rome with sense.
I've tried both 3.1 and the new 5 and have the same problem with both.
No problems installing (using TWRP). Have found I can't use the boot.img in root and flash in a slower one from the other kernels directory.
If I keep the SIM out of the phone, no problem, works wonderfully and I see the speed I'd love to be using.
I throw the SIM back in and as soon as the radio turns on, gets signal, bam, white screen with HTC and reboot.
I did manage to have 3.1 running with the SIM in (with Wifi already enabled from the boot before) and I disabled Wifi, and away she went again in a bootloop
I'm out of ideas after scouring the threads in app dev.
Thanks
May be you should try a lower frequency kernel
Try this one http://d-h.st/V35
Its Prometheus linaro kernel 767MHz
Hi Guys. I have searched the forum but havent found anything that applies to my problem. I have the HTC One M7 sprint version. I have been trying to sim unlock it but the phone came on an android version higher than 4.3. This is one of a batch of 4 so at this point I cant even remember the original os. My problem is that I need to be on an android os lower than 4.3 to unlock. I have been following the tutorial here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2586704 .Only roms at kitkat or higher are stable enough to use and not even all the kitkat ones are stable.
The issue:
The phone boots and the rom loads but I am unable to do anything with it. The lockscreen shows as normal but anytime I unlock the screen I get a white screen with HTC in green letters. On some roms I am able to access the settings menu but that is it. It just stays like that forever. On some roms it will stay on but most reboot in roughly 2-3 minutes. Most of the roms that are stable go into a handsfree activation loop where I cant get past that screen. I read a tutorial about deleting the htc setup apk but that works only some of the time and then the roms are mostly unstable.
My phone is S-Off and I have attempted to downgrade to stock 4.1.2 using the official ruu.. The process was successful but the stock os is unstable. Reboots every 2-3 minutes. I have flashed the firmware separately and then run the ruu. I have run the ruu on its own. I have done factory reset with both stock and custom recoveries after running the ruu.
I have tried pretty much every sprint rom I have come across and still no love. I've been at this for nearly a month and my HTC Rom folder is about 25gb if a list is needed I am willing to provide it but I really just want to be on stock 4.1.2 or a sense rom lower than 4.3 for the purpose of unlocking the gsm sim. I have been told that the issue could be hardware but then I have roms that run without issues except that the phone isnt unlockable in that state.
