You can find the apk in every rom which includes the DSP Manager. Download (for example - h t t p://fitsnugly.euroskank.com/skankwich/crespo/) - extract or browse
in system/app and you'll find the DSPManger.apk, then copy and install
Here is the apk and the lib file for DSP ics.

@ OP It would be good if you posted this in Original Post and change title to let people know you have it posted in this thread.

Hi,
it's easy to install it like any other .apk through the android os (no need to boot into recovery), just check the box 'Unknown sources' in Security settings, and install it from your sd with any file manager.
It depends, when you are on cm roms there should be no problem.
But if you are on different roms , it may not work because it needs some lib files too.

Android 4.0.3.
OK this file attached is working great, just install it with CWM, no Problems at all.
i don't know why, this dsp manager just keep FC's on my nexus
- flash dsp manager w/ lib one
- using cm9 music
- setting perms already rw-r-r
- tried fix permission via rom manager
- stock rom ics 4.0.3
do i have to uninstall music fx?

The APK file seems to sideload w/o issues but choosing "Select Preset" FCs (there are probably other FC issues too). If you install the zip file using CWM then it works correctly.

Hi there
I resume this thread because I extracted DSP Manager 2.0 from the latest CM9 Alpha and tried to put it to work under NexusBeam 4.1.0. (ICS)
It gets installed and the options are tickable.
While as I tap upon the manual Eq, the app FC.
Any idea/trick/hint?
Thx

Nope its not odex, its AOSP 4.0.3 built from source for NS4G.
I guess the next question is what roms that did not have DSP (all besides CM9) did the zip posted work on and test the eq? Am I the only one?
I extracted DSP Manager 2.0 from CM9 Alfa 18 ROM and copied it to stock 4.0.3 rooted ROM, changed permission, etc, but it force closes.
Could anyone help me out? 1.0 used to work fine on current ROM, but 2.0 doesn't work anymore..
I tried fix permission but still same..

It seems like this is a configuration setting problem between deodexed and odexed.

Still searching for a solution with AOSP+ too. Want to hear my music again ..
EDIT // Just tried it again and noticed that when even DSP FC's after a selection, the changes takes effect. I can live with that
It seems to force close DSP Manager every time I end a call.

I'm thinking about going back from gold because of video issues. RC1 was perfect for me with exception of the theme.

Same video issues - had to edit stagfright media player in blade buddy app to get rid of stutter.
Then changed build.prop to make settings permanent. However, not all codecs play on this but i found flash, h264 work fine.
Might help.
hi,
for untheme the overcome 2.0.0-rc1, just do it in recovery:
- extract system/app/SystemUI.apk from overcome-2.0.0-b2 and copy to /system/app in your phone
- extract system/framework/framework-res.apk and system/framework/framework.jar from overcome-2.0.0-b2 and copy to /system/framework in your phone
- do permission of the 3 files to 0644
- reboot

if you replace the framework-res.apk using root explorer, you provably (soft) brick your device.
i recommend to replace the framework-res in recovery mode, using "adb push framework-res.apk /system/framework" command and "adb shell chmod 0644 /system/framework/framework-res.apk"
Thanks for everyone's reply.
I'll try your method bartito once I do my full install of RC1.
And thank you for the files from b1, I don't have access to either betas.
What about using the files from gold? I compared the file sizes and modified dates and they are the same from the b1. I guess it doesn't matter then?
On second thought, couldn't I just replace the necessary files in the RC1 and then do the full install as normal?
I went ahead and replaced the two framework files and systemui file inside the RC1 zip file and did the full install starting from the gb stock 1. I skipped re-stock this time, hopefully I won't have any problems in the future. But everything seems to be working as before with stock theme!
One thing I am not sure about is that total internal memory shows 12.83gb. I think I had more than that when I previously had RC1. Maybe just my imagination.

-Upload it to system / app using root explorer
-Give the uperwnienia: rw-r-r
-Reboot and you have installed DSP manager.
But let me tell you that if you have installed "music fx" you do not need DSP manager ...
