firstly, i tried searching.... promise!
ok ive tried installing using stuff like appsinstaller, astro, es, easy install and i still cant install non market apps? force crashes on all.... do i have to convert it to system app first or sth? cos i havent upgraded my es file manager and if need be i would.... help pls...

Ald did the unknown sources step still on stock rom but deleted stock apps according to list found somewhere on this forum, cache cleaned...
Android market installs fine, thing is after putting apk into my sd root, in the file explorer I click on icon does nothing, long press opens up a menu without install option, just has an extract option which just does that note apk wasn't zip in the first place....
Installer apps force crashes even using astro....

It is normal just go on 4shared.com there is a lot of apk and some are not working even if the unknown sources is on. I got a site where they are all working androidxmarket.com

You need to install them before putting them in the root section of your sd card or maybe i don't understand you. Am i right?

Sounds like your file explorer does not have an installer integrated.
P.S. The apk is a .zip file renamed as .apk
Edit: You can always adb install if you know how.

You can always email the apk to your gmail account. And install from there.
Try es file explorer you can find it in the market. It's the one i prefer

heee cm... not yet..... waiting for the stable version =P
and yeah not to sound defensive, but yeah ill always buy apps that ive played with and deemed them to be useful for me...
i just like to have a go at them first just to see if i really need them or how functional they are for me...

Don't work correctly...
The icon don't disappear .. The old frozen Apk can't be unfreeze
it's not a standard usage of the freeze/unfreeze "function"

Oke, than you can go to sysyem app and rename every app that you want to frees by putting a1 after apk. Unfrees you remive the 1. Thats all.

Other? Does in data app folder. Does are your downloaded apps.
I know that some are store here, but renamed don't do anything on the active apps..
some are in zip, some in Apk format
I don't think it's the good directory

Go to data folxer and there you find data folder again. Is that what you looking for? I am on rocket v17 and i can frees with antek running apps and defrees them. Alwayz reboot after freesing, then all icoons are gone.
Apparently on stock rom there is only Apk data on this folder

Hi GALAXY NOTE users!
I'm the developer of APP QUARANTINE. this is a little tool for Root users which allows you to freeze/unfreeze system apps.
I have also heard about the issues with the Galaxy Note and therefore added a little feature which allows to restore all apps which had been frozen before.

Hi no boot manager does not work on the optimus black at the moment, best app i ever bought though especially on compatible phones, i may email the developers and see if the can add support

maybe you can donate it or sell it real cheap to another experienced developer, dev lupohirp was interested in getting on to work on cm9 for our phone.
I don't want to sell it just use it for help all dev they want to test any rom by me. I want to understand how create rom and do custom file too but it's very difficult for a beginner like me.
