I created this boot animation based off of a pretty cool MIUI boot animation that I found here. It has a Resident Evil Umbrella Corperation feel to it.
Here is a youtube link to see it in action: http://youtu.be/WTR8fdBLMSc
Some of the minor tweaks I made were replacing the htc tag with a droid one, replacing the MIUI tag with a Bionic one, and adjusting the picture resolution to fit the Bionic's screen. This means that my version will not perfectly fit devices that don't share the Bionic's resolution (540x960px). I split up the animation into four parts so you can easily set how many times you want the BIONIC load screen to loop (part1 in the desc file). Lastly and most obvious, I changed the color to orange.
For instructions on how to install a custom boot animation go here.
If you want to check out how the original version runs go here, and thanks to user fluxgfx for finding and posting it. User mtemal also tweaked this boot animation and he posted some cool videos here. Props to both of you guys for putting this out there.
Enjoy,
EDIT: Changed the boot animation sightly and posted a youtube video.

Could you make this either red or blue?
Great work, I also second the notion of creating this in different colors. Preferably blue, but red and green also would be cool.
I love the orange bootanimation. It reminds me of the 1980's computers.

Hello all. I'm trying to finish a theme I'm making but can't seem to get the colours right. I'm borrowing the strings from other themes and because they don't have exactly what I need, it doesn't go perfect.
How do I interperet these?
Code:
<parm name="ThemeColors" value="AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAEAAAABAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAQAAAAEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAQAAAAEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAQAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA=="
Code:
<parm name="ThemeColors" value="AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAQAAAAEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA=="

Have a look at the tables and example Theme in the first post. If that doesn't help perhaps a more detailed explanation or pictures of what you are trying to change?
Thanks for that. With the aid of that resource I've been able to complete the theme.
Not my graphics, I just put it all together

Resolutions supported?
Looks sweet. Only thing to me is that the X button looks abit out-of-place (red & different styling).
Supports WM 6.5 @ WVGA. The taskbar icons are not part of the theme but can be found here.
Looks good! I like what you did with the Scrollbar Track. Congrats on coming up with an original idea
Any plans for furthur Themes now that you're up and running? If you think it's something you'd like to do more of i would advise starting a thread and reserving the first few posts for yourself. You'll be glad you did later on when you have a ton of work to display.
If you need any help just post here or drop me a P.M
Keep it up!
It's really a compilation of elements from several themes that I liked but none was perfect, so now I have it the way I like. I'll see if I can find out where I got the originals so I can give credit to the authors.
Boot Screen Animation And Splash Screen [WVGA]
I made this just because i like the Nexus One's boot screen and wanted something similar greeting me everytime I restart my phone.

I'd love to post the actual links with a picture, but seeing how I'm a newbie I don't have that right yet. when i gain the ability to I'll post links and pictures. I need to be approved by a moderator.
Android System Sounds Download in attachment. (EDIT: I didn't do my research before posting, but the sounds have already been posted. Oops. But I'm leaving them up just in case someone stumbles upon this before the other post)
This includes notifications, ring tones, UI sounds, and alarms. I extracted this and converted it from the .OGG format for use with WM.
Hope you like.
P.S. This is my first tribute to xda so yeah, I'm a newbie.
thanks, however the sounds have been posted on the forum before :/ you could attach the images to your post (same way you attached the sounds) for the start up/down and it will automatically give a little 'preview' thumbnail users can enlarge by clicking on it
lol yeah, i figured the sounds have. didn't check though. my fault. and yeah, still getting used to all the fourm stuff so things i post my seem a tad off.
also, about the pictures, i cant upload them as an attachment because it gets resized too small for WVGA screens and for some reason it doesn't like animated GIFs.
Please give pictures to [ IMG ]
After that it will looks like:

Try it if you like it.
I created it for my HTC Touch Diamond and it looks quite nice,
Even though it's not even a Google phone, lol.
The resolution is 480x640. Hope it works on your phone
You can download it HERE
Would this work for a Droid X?? and also do i install this like a Rom threw clockwork?

nope. you should be able to push it to /data/local/ but your droid x resolution is too great for this animation. you should upscale it to fit your HDPI screen.

Actually it should work, because in this animation only width is important. And it is 480 pixels, the same as Droid X.
So feel free to try it!
And by the way, android boot animation should resize itself if the screen resolution is too big or too small. For example i have used animation that is 261x348 and it fully fitted on myscreen (480x680) even the quality was good.
So this animation should work on any kind of device with android 2.1 or higher
any chance of making the google letters just white? i want this one so bad for my og evo...
reupload the boot animation please
Hi,
Can you kindly re-upload the boot animation, of can you send me the boot animation via email...I tried your link but the animation is not longer available for download..Thanks in advance.

Seen there are few portal boot animations but they seemed to be just shots from the game videos. I decided to give my own take on Portal Droid. First Boot Animation and I intend to touch it up and give it a bit of polish but for the moment I like it.
I made it for my Nexus S so its 480x800 but you can just modify the desc.txt file inside the .zip to your screen size however I don't know how it will work out and as usual apply at your own risk! But seriously if it isn't going to work it just won't run and your phone will boot with no animation.
It loops when the droid is in the infinite fall.

funny
thanks for the animation.
I will try it.
Thanks, enjoy!
Now, that's a good animation! Nice job!

Just installed this on my phone! Thanks
If you touched this up it would look epic.
Thanks!
I will install it on my phone
I've created a shutdown animation, I hope, it's ok

hello,
i made a few little boot"animations" for galaxy mini:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
the logo is not my creation - it's some cyanogenmod logo. the Cid logo comes with this license - i assume that the logo i use comes with the same. the same license applies to my part of the work.
the font is URW Gothic L. i don't know how it's licensed but i'm pretty sure it's either SIL or GPL.
i wanted to create something very small and minimalistic; they're only a few KB each. other people's bootanimations are as big as 5MB and really slow down the boot process...
each bootanimation.zip is zipped again with a few extras (bootsplash, homescreen background).
i will be happy to create one like that for you for a different ROM!
install: copy it to /data/local/bootanimation.zip or to /system/media/bootanimation.zip
with adb: "adb push bootanimation.zip /data/local/"
enjoy!
updated & expanded.
see post #1.
Hello! Can you do this for Cyanogenmod 7.2? Thank you!

there you go.
i updated the first post (i called it ba-allcyan-centered-7.2.zip).
didn't try it on my own phone though, let me know how it goes.
you want a kernel bootsplash, too? integrating it is a lot more work than pushing a bootanimation.
anyhow if you want, tell me which kernel, i'll create the image in .rle format.
Very good ..
