Decent player although its surely another galaxy s video player ripped and feature packed. That said Rockplayer being the other galaxy s rip will likely copy all features found here.
sent from my Nexus S XDA Premium App because I'm worth it
Thanks.
Unfortunately, it doesn't see the video taken by my Nexus S....

It does you have to select the camera folder on SD card and will search for media files in that directory
Thanks. Best player!
Works the same as Rock Player for me. RockPlayer decodes 720p (mkv) fine but theres no audio. Regular .avis have sound
Definitely nice video player though, I'll keep it
As usual, can't play anime mkv videos without doing slow-mo. I think vlc is the only third party app that can compete with the galaxy player.

Can someone help me, I have installed moboplayer on my Nexus S and I am have a few questions.
1. When I connect my Nexus S to my computer what folder/directory should I be putting my video files in?
2. When I start moboplayer on my Nexus S, I am also confused about which folders I should choose. Also, when I start moboplayer I get "there's no SD card, make sure it is usable".
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Highly recommend using dice player for best HD playback becasue it uses hardware acceleration unlike mobo, rockplayer..ect
But to your question
you manually select what folder you want it to scan i made a folder called Movies..also dont use the one in OP its now available on the market

You were really vague in answering my question though. I am not new to computers but I am new to this. Do I have to modify (root) my Nexus for this to work?
For instance I connect my Nexus S to my laptop and can get the "removable disk (H" option in my computer. Can I make any folder within there and call it "movies"?
OR is there a specific sub folder I need to be in?
Thanks for your help.

The folders as seen in moboplayer don't mirror what I am seeing on my computer. That's is why I am confused.
Thanks for the help.

hey
i downloaded rock player but when i play the movie using rock player the volume of the movie being played is pretty less... is there any player which is better than the rock player and which has high volume?
MX Video Player is by far the best video player on Android IMO.
It was the only player that could play 720p MKV with subtitles without any kind of lag, problems with subtitles or sound. You can also change between audio-tracks.
It also got a the prettiest interface.
Hey folks I'm looking for a good video player. I use various formats but mostly avi but the only app I have found that plays it is QQplayer and that app sucks itself. Has vlc been ported to market yet or anything better?

MoboPlayer
The best I have used so far is MoboPlayer (http://moboplayer.com/moboplayer_en.html) You have to use the medium version since the Xoom doesn't support Neon. This is the only player I could get to play 720p video smoothly. Hope that helps and if you find something better let me know!
I would have to go with rockplayer. I have found it to play just about anything very well and haven't had any issues with videos on my Xoom.

+1 For Mobo. I had the Neon version and it was horrible. The medium version works great though!
I'm new to the xoom, what avi player works the best? I'll do some searching, but figured I'd ask the experts...

To be honest, I didn't notice much difference performance-wise. However, I like the layout of Moboplayer, feels like it is better optimized for Honeycomb.
mobo... it's no vlc player for desktop though.

yea i had too many FC's with rockplayer...its not HC optimized yet....moboplayer works great
i love how it saves where you left off on multiple videos
I find moboplayer generally outperforms rockplayer although the latest releases of both are very similar. Where rockplayer has an advantage is if you use UPnPlay to access network shares. If Mobo runs into something it can't play it will crash to the home screen. Rockplayer will usually just play with glitches rather than crashing so you can back out to the menu page and save time.
Moboplayer has been my preference even on phones, but recently I've tried playing 720p avi files and it can play it fine, but fast forwarding is murder

Try the tegra2-optimized version of rockplayer, very smooth with no FC. Make sure you use the hardware acceleration for maximum performance.

Hey Guys, I tried Almost all the media/Video players present in the MARKET
but those are unable to play some MP4 files on custom roms(almost all roms).
Only stock rom can play them
but i don't like stock rom. So please help or share your idea if anyone have?

Are you sure that HD 1280*720 that plays back??A lot of people's ROMs back on the Wildfire S forums mentioned 720p and then it turned out it's something stupid like 720*480 What CPU settings did you use??

Earlier when i tested ....the sd card booster was set at 128kb
Then i changed over to value 2038 and still theres lag while playing videos.
I again mention..these are .flv type 320p videos.
thnk u.
Mx is the best u will get. Playing vids at high Res like 720 is hit or miss so guys please lay of it this. Were all experienced enough to know it struggles to play. This post is old enough to say this. I myself have tried all video playing apps and have gone back to Mx. I stream vidoes fine in normal Res so why the need for 720. If u want to play 720 get a top spec phone from the shop.
