[Q] a Rom with lg hoauncher?

i would like to know a custom rum for lg optimus 2x with the original lg home launcher, i love modaco rom. but it hasn't go the home launcher

Just add the LGLauncher.apk to any ROM image or push it afterwards.

Easy... download the LG apps pack and Root Explorer then simply copy LG Launcher to the System / apps folder of your phone .

[CM10 Boot/Shutdown Animation] Root Required

Alright guys, its really simple, I browsed the net for a non laggy CM10 boot animation for this phone, and so far, this is the best.
Notes: Root is required, credits to android police for the general release.
Download "bootanimation.zip" http://db.tt/MVRb9JsQ
Download "shutdownanimation.zip" http://db.tt/tpLGyg3g
Step 1: Download both files.
Step 2: Open a root explorer and go to "system/media" (I use ES-File Explorer)
Step 3: Cut both "bootanimation.zip" and "shutdownanimation.zip" to your external SD-card. (Backup)
Step 4: Copy both downloaded files to "system/media" (Download Links Above)
Step 5: Set both permissions to "rw- r-- r--"
Step 6: Now copy again, both files to "data/local"
Step 7: Set both permissions to "rw- r-- r--"
YOU'RE DONE! Just reboot your phone and test out the animations.
Notes: The system actually looks for the bootanimation.zip from "data/local" first, then "system/media" second. Below is the shorter method.
Tested and working on all versions Euro Open.

I tried to install it as per the guidelines but the shutdownanimation is not working in CM9. any help ?

Read further, try putting into data/local
Remember to set permissions too.

Hmm, Both system/media and data/local should work. I can't put my finger on it.

Its definitely more smooth than the stock lg boot animation. And you do not require a cm rom to install.
Just follow instructions if you are on stock rom. Or any rom.

Hi guys, i modded the HOLO LAUNCHER HD (free version from play store).
Now it's similar to the original LG HOME 3.0
To use system widgets move the app in system/app and set permission rw-r-r-, restart the phone

i just want to share mms apk from lg optimus g phone,,,it has popup feature which is different from mms lg optimus 4x,,i dont has lg optimus 2x since it is at my home which is far away from my place right now..so maybe someone can try it..this is not flashable zip, so please put this apps at system/app and change the permission to rw-r-r-...make sure u copy the original apk before replac it, so if it not working u can replace back the original apk,,

it's normal, the apk works on its own framework guys.....
some devs could mod the apk to work on our device

I think to make it work you will need telephonyprovider from Optimus G as well as modify services.jar to disable apk signature check http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1698352

[L3/L5]Modified LGHome and additional widgets

Look at the attachments for the required files.
I own a L5, and it works on there. Can someone confirm it also works on stock firmware from L3?
Reading the feedback in this thread I concluded that it works on L7 as well, but because this launcher was made for mdpi devices, it looks very ugly.
Chacha_Ivanov's modified stock launcher:
I didn't create this myself. I 'stole' it from 4pda.ru
Differences from unmodified version:
Support for themes.
Backup / restore desktop and widgets (you'll find this inside home screen settings)
Removed name labels from icons in the dock bar.
Quick access to lock screen settings
Installation of LGHome:
Replace LGHome3.apk with new LGHome3.apk inside /system/app
Remove LGHome3.odex
Installation of themes:
The 3 themes can be installed link any other app

Addition stock widgets
These are created by LG, and were available the firmware of some phone (I don't know which). They were discovered by chacha_ivanov
You can install these like normal applications. Some of them rely on other stock applications, therefore I'm not sure if they work on all firmware versions.

It works on my phone. I have a L5. I think it will also work on L3 and L7 (and maybe even L9). To replaces LGHome3.apk you need to have root access.

These widgets got somehow removed from L7, dunno bout others, i think it was removed couse of small system portition size

Unlike L5 and L7 which already use ICS, stock L3 is still GB, so I doubt this will work. However, my L3 is running CM9 now so I'll give it a try
Edit: It's actually worked although the app drawer is somewhat cropped, it lacked resources for LDPI.

The mod works perfectly well on my L5. I prefer using it, because the launcher I had was using way too much RAM. Thanks :good: I just hope for more themes soon

ONie Ive got lg l7. I used total commander to delete stock lghome (earlier backuped it) and copy new, then delete the odex. Now when im pressing the home button i have error like "lghome has stopped". Should i reboot or restore backuped lghome? Unfortanely i haven't backuped the odex so if i should restore pls send me the file thx
Ok nevermind i restored stock lghome.apk and lghome.odex now everuthing works like earlier. But when i replace lghone.apk and delete the odex like the instruction says its still not working

LOL. Its working now. When i copied the new lghome.apk i installed it and unnistaled and i have the modded launcher now i have both apk and odex files in system/app and the mod is working.
Ive got lg p700 with stock v10k rooted to be sure

Try to get in apps and look for the home launcher, then uninstall it. After it get to the copied home file and install it (maybe reboot needed). Repeat until success
It worked for me.

Installed modified home launcher on my L7, it works but looks ugly. It is definitely designed for lower resolutions.
