Why does my note always have 600 MB full RAM??
How can I reduce this?
Am I the only one a with this problem?
No matter how many times I kill the apps, they still openup and eat the memory :-(
Please help

As such there is nothing to do, this is normal. because there is a lot app which starts autometically, so if you kill, it again starts n remains in background, these are the common application which we are using.
still you can reduce it by Autostarts, you can decide here which application to start, there may be many applications which you may not be using, you can disable it. I have disable, gmail, Hub, few more. Now my RAM remains betwin 480-500 MB.
The reason could also be bad apps. Some apps aren't properly optimized or use a lot of ram for nothing.
Use your task manager ro see which apps are taking so much ram.
Once you've done this I recommend you remove them apps and use alternative ones.
How I look at it is having good apps that are low on memory...
I have tons of apps on my Note and I'm only using 400 out of 800mb ram...
Hummm...curious on how to go about it.

Great app, great interface, but . . . after installing the app I used it to listen to a couple of tunes then exited the app. Since then I noticed my battery useage has gone crazy, in the space of a couple of hours my phone went from 79% to 42% and I never even used the phone during that time. My battery normally lasts between a day and a couple of days at a time between charges.
Thinking it may be something to do with the music junk app I went back to the market to see if anyone else having similar problem and got a page saying link invalid. Tried to find the publishers website and that seems to be gone as well ! Anyone else experienced high battery consumption with this app ?
Hmm..never had that here, but I've posted a link to my copy if you like to uninstall and re-install

I haven't gotten a chance to see how much of an affect this app has on battery life as I've just installed it, but I have noticed that it constantly runs on my phone. It starts on boot and will reopen itself if I kill the app with task killer even though I haven't even used the app. Anyone have any idea why this app needs to constantly run in the background?
Installed the app but it shows network error whenever I search or select a song from catalog.
Edit: it works now! I don't know what happened yesterday.
Thank you so much...

Hi.
I am on cm10 nightly 7-9-12 and I've got a very unusual problem.
The android os consumed 407 mb of data while I was asleep . I hadn't kept anything for download .
Can someone help and tell me what might be the reason for this and how can I prevent this in case it occurs again?
(Sorry for my bad English)

It's pretty abnormal, this is now android problem anyway, look apps u installed like game, or Google drive and same
Install only from market, only trusted app and install droidwall for block Internet usage for some apps
This is the solution, I don't think it's a bug

This could be due to sync between google, google drive, cloud storage of all your media, images etc in the background, shut down background data in accounts and sync , when not required

Thank you for your response, I'm afraid that doesn't seem to be the case. I don't use cloud storage, Google drive and sync is switched off always.

This is how I solved it:
Fresh install ROM
During setup, make sure to UNCHECK "Restore settings from Google" and "Backup .... to Google servers"
Data usage after setup was about 4-10M and growing fast subsequently but now after doing this its under 200k.
I'm not sure what happens if I turn the backup and restore back on but I'd experiment with it when I don't have to rely on mobile data as much and report back. Hope this helps.
Hi everyone,
I have no idea but there were two apps(Go Launcher Ex and baidu input) install into my kindle fire cloud. Even I have reset my device several times, they were still there. I found install into cloud was really helpful. So Do you guys know how to install app into cloud?
When you buy a app from amazon, the app goes into the cloud. You cant "put" a app into the cloud...

my device has rooted and apparently these two apps didn't come from Amazon appstore. I just don't know how to put app into cloud if it is come from another source.
You can't... you can only put music and documents on he cloud.. If its an off source app then you can just "put" it into the cloud.

I can confirm that Go Launcher Ex shows up in my cloud and device tab. The OP is not crazy. I'm not sure the rhyme or reason to it, as you supposedly can't upload to the apps tab but it's there, as you see that my gtalk is supposedly in cloud also.

Is there any method by which i can define my startup android processes on stock rom. There are so many services that i dont use but they are constantly running like i dont use hotmai or gmail app instead i use the stock email app and hs merged my accounts. So beside uninstalling them i want to limit all such messengers and other apps.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
You can freeze them using TB or use autostarts or Rom toolbox's auto start manager to disable the receivers which will stop the apps from starting on boot and various other criterias

Well i bet tizen would be having that feature and you will be the first to switch. You people were among those who boast about and show loyalty to symbian and were the first to switch to android. So its not advicable to negatively propogate about the upcoming stuff without evidence.
I am an optimist and will always be.

I also face this problem of excessive ram usage sometimes, then I restart my phone and kill the apps in task manager, then it shows about 325-350 free ram. Please any expert's comment will be of great help here.

is your phone lagging due to the heavy ram usage? android automatically cleans up ram when it needs it,so if your phone isn't lagging, there isn't anything to worry about
