On the gnote I can turn on wifi while on airplane mode but I can't turn on Bluetooth, it's grayed out until I turn off airplane mode.
On my dell streak with android 2.3.4 I can turn on Bluetooth while in airplane mode, don't know if it's some tweak done in the rom or if the android 2.3.6 in the gnote changed that behavior and now doesn't allow it anymore...
Is there a way to be able to turn on Bluetooth while in airplane mode on the gnote like I can on my streak, or alternatively turn the cell radio off without turning on airplane mode?

hey,
is it possible to turn off automatic to-airplane-mode-switching when turning off the radio module?
background is, tomtom rejects to work when device is in airplane mode. but when i turn wifi on (or bluetooth, meaning any connection to prevent airplane mode) and radio-module off, tomtom works like a charm. i just want to have to gps running, no other connections - but without airplane mode on.
please can you help me with a registry fix or something?
thanks in advance!
I have the Streak 7 without a data plan. I will be using it only on wifi. How do I disable the mobile connection altogether and just have wifi turned on. I figured airplane mode would do this but it also turns off wifi. I would think since planes offer wifi now that airplane mode would disable the mobile radio but keep wifi alive
It does turn off wifi, but you can turn it back on seperately. Each time I power cycle mine, I need to turn wifi back on but that's the only negative.

Hello,
Today I have received Tasker V6, and I was very happy to find that it is now possible to turn ON/OFF Airplane Mode easily. It works great.
Now I want to turn ON WiFi while Airplane Mode ON, but I Tasker says that it is not possible to toggle/change WiFi since API 29 [while in Airplane Mode]. Which is weird, because I can do it manually since years.
I have tried inserting the instruction Airplane Radios before, but Airplane Radios itself always returns "Error: 1". This is with all the possible combinations of checkboxes ticked. There is something wrong with "Airplane Radios"? Or it requires root to work?
The ultimate goal I want is to put my phone fixed into VoWiFi (voice over WiFi) when I am at my office, which has a very bad signal strength.
I am using Tasker 6 on a Galaxy S22 Ultra. No root. Android 12.
Thank you very much.
@paggps try your question over at the r/tasker Reddit forum. The Developer is very responsive there. Maybe question already addressed perhaps...
This is driving me crazy..
I leave airplane mode on when I have a wifi connection (at the house). If I leave the house and forget to toggle off airplane mode, meaning wifi is on but NOT connected.. airplane mode is ON.. once I toggle airplane mode off to establish a connection, the phone will be unable to establish any data connection until I restart..
If I disable my sim and re-enable it will work.
Does this happen to anyone else?
Is this clear enough?

This happens to me on the pixel 7 pro. After a flight when I turn airplane mode off it takes ages for the phone to pick up signal and I have both physical sim and Esim
For me it seems related to wifi. If I have a wifi connection and turn off airplane mode, it will get a signal. If I lose wifi connection with airplane mode on and then turn it off it will never establish a connection.
Anyone experience this?
