I put the package on my SDcard and renamed it to update.pkg and then tryed to install it by the Software Update via update.pkg option in the recovery and then as it was going it suddenly says SDCard not enough space, I cleared up the SD and then put it in and then the next run it says FOTA Model Name Mismatch or something like that.
I'd like help, my build is 19534, I want to get it to the new 21700 build that would occur from updating...
Did you do the recovery.img using the "fastboot" method..?
I did the recovery.img as you said and then installed the package it went through
Thanks.

Only read 8G memory storage !!!!
I don't know how to help you, but seriously. Next time download the update yourself and make sure it's the right one. I wouldn't trust my 300€ worth phone to anyone.

HEY!
That's Captain Obvious to you soldier.
Anyways, see if you can see it from ADB at any point, if so, you can probably install a ROM from there or at least do something to recover it.

hi,
not sure if you solved the problem, but maybe it will help...
I thought I just bricked my phone as I updated it using wrong update.zip file that wasn't meant to be for Galaxy. After that the phone didn't turn on at all.
http://darkforestgroup.com/forum/index.php?topic=764.msg5747
there you can find how to flash your phone using odin. What's what I've done. the only difference is that I
*put tick in one package
*didn't specify the path to Boot, Phone, PDA, CSC
*specify path to ONE PACKAGE and link that to I7500XXIH8-PDA-CL53973-REV5(VIA).tar
click start
and my phone is working now.
It's not root, but it can be done again.
Hope that helps
good luck.
PS. you can download firmwre from samsung-firmware.webs.com if you havent got one.
hi guys i flashed cg7 on to my milestone using open recovery, i then stupildly cleaned my sd card and lost open recovery. im now trying to put gapps on my phone but crnt install it as rsd keep failing to flash it fails straight away. so now i crnt update anything as it i crnt install vulnerable sbf cus rsd fails.please any help
It's quite possible that your sbf is too long of a file name and there's a programming bug in RSD that will not allow a certain length for your sbf.
http://androidforums.com/droid-all-...hing-process-0x7100-rsd-lite.html#post1274587
I used that link to flash my sbf properly and it helped. It's odd that that's what you need to do, but it seems to work
yea looked at that didnt work looked at error log and got this something to do with device id
Device API Error: 0xE003003F Command: ERASE
File: D:\test_dev_usb\flash\code\flashdll\ErasingOp.cpp
Device ID: 0
Have you tried re-downloading the sbf file? People are saying that sometimes they get errors like that from corrupted downloads.
Do you have a sd card reader or a common notebook or a different phone or whatever device that can mount a microsd card?
if so, put you micro sdcard there and extract there a new openrecovery update.zip and boot again in recovery.
I'm trying to install HC 3.2 from the stock Froyo install on a T-Mobile Streak 7.
I'm pretty sure I've followed all of the posts correctly, but I seem to get hung up and am hoping someone can point out the obvious (I hope) mistake.
First off, I'm using the flashing guide at:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Dell_Streak_7/Flashing_Guide
And the files found at:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Dell_Streak_7#Official
Specifically, I'm using these files (US 4G 514 build):
http://mirror2.streakdroid.com/manii/Streak7/514/recovery.img
http://mirror2.streakdroid.com/manii/Streak7/LG7_514_21700_30.pkg
I seem to have no problem installing the recovery image and installing the rom package on the SD card.
But, when I try to go into the Recovery mode and select to update via update.pkg, I get the message "Booting recovery kernel image" and then it just hangs.
I've downloaded both files twice in case there was a problem with one of the downloads and that did not fix it.
As a test, I installed the old recovery image:
http://mirror2.streakdroid.com/manii/Streak7/336/recovery.img
And tried to update to the 514 package, and it failed (gave the FOTA error - as expected).
Any ideas on what is going wrong? Thanks.
You can try to open your .pkg simply when device is power on - from downloads or with file manager. I installed HC official update (but i have wifi version) this way, without recovery
I cannot get it from the update section because it is a T-Mobile version.
As for running it from the file manager, it is an "unknown" type. Not sure how you can install a .pkg file direct from the OS.
Download XPlore File Manager and try Open in a system in submenu on long tap
My original Asus SD card is not recogniezd by my laptop whereas a micro SD card on an adapter is recognized. I think I need to use the original one to flash the tablet. Any idea?

Need more info. Format type of internal SD? Drivers? OS? Etc...
Thank you for your reply. Are the above links given to give me a hand (stupid question certainly)?
Well, I am going to try to repair my tablet with a new SD card. But I need help right from the start.
Living in France, I suppose the right firmware must start with WW. I have downloaded all these firwares from Asus:
UL-K00C-WW-11.4.1.27-user.zip, UL-K00C-WW-11.4.1.29-user.zip, UL-K00C-WW-11.4.1.30-user.zip, WW_10_26_1_18_SDupdate.zip, WW_epaduser_10_14_1_47_UpdateLauncher.zip, WW_epaduser_V11_4_1_17_updatelauncher.zip.
Which one should I use? What am I going to do next?
When I start it in flashboot mode, I get the message "Android Macallan-user BL released by "WW_epad_11.4.1.30-20150121"
Press ...
Starting fastboot USB download protocol"

Well you should use the latest one which is UL-K00C-WW-11.4.1.30-user.zip
I'm not sure what you are attempting to do? Are you saying that your internal data is not working or just not recognised by windows. If the later you probably just need to update your drivers on windows.
Have a search for the latest compatible windows ones for Asus.
my tablet is stuck in boot process. I did something wrong when deleting built-in apps, so I have to make a recovery.
I made some progress in the meantime. Connected the tablet to the PC, put the CWM boot.img in the fastboot folder, put Asus UL-K00C-WW-11.1.4.30 firmware on the SD card, started fatboot.exe and got the menu on the tablet (reboot system now - install zip - wipe data partition - ...), started install.zip.
Now I get the message "This package is for KOOC; this is a tf701t. Error in storage/USBdisk1h/ul-KOOC-11.4.1.30-user.zip.Installation aborted
external SD card recovery to stock

This procedure did not work. However I have installed CyanogenMod with the Cyanogen recovery on the tablet and finally coud boot. Now I would like to go back to the Asus settings. How can I do this? The Asus UL-K00C-WW-11.1.4.30 firmware, as I said before, is followed by the message "This package is for K00C; this is a tf701t.", but the tablet appears as K00c in My Computer. Different names, same device!

Did you rename the stock firmware zip file to T4_SDUPDATE.zip and put the zip firmware file on the root of the EXTERNAL SD card and power on or restart your device. it should detect a firmware update. if it does not detect any firmware update after about 1 or 2 minutes or it boots normally, go into bootloader and select RCK from the menu with zip file on the external sd card.
it sounds like you were trying to install the stock firmware zip file through the custom recovery install zip option which will not work. TF701T is KOOC... also, make sure 100% that your Tablet is the WW version and not the TW or US version!

The zip firmware file was on the root of the EXTERNAL SD card. I did go into bootloader and select RCK from the menu, then install zip file --choose zip from /storage /USB disk1h -- T4_SDUPDATE.zip.
I am going to try the other versions of the firmware.

okay, since you have a custom recovery the zip file is not detected. CM and CWM recovery are not the same. you should be able to find an installable stock file somewhere or try another rom. As long as you have a working recovery installed then you should be good to go for any updates.
This is your best bet for near stock: http://forum.xda-developers.com/transformer-tf701/development/rom-t2999102

Since I can use the tablet with CyanogenMod now, I am satisfied. The links you gave me above helped me a lot.
Thank you. I could not have made it without your help. Warm handshake.
I was on 8.9.13 and tried to install 8.9.20 with a zip file trough TWRP. I wan't to get back to 8.9.13, but even when i start my device it is stuck on region which my only option is China, but after that i get into a loop it wont get further.
I downloaded 8.9.13 zip file and want to put it in internal storage but i get many different maps with letters and numbers. When i want to copy the zip file 8.9.13, it wont get on internal storage.
I have my bootloader unlocked.
Please, what am I doing wrong? And what can i do?
Go to the Mitools, download the right rom, and flash it
Or install TWRP and install using the TWRP
