how its stuck on SAMAUNG ? u should wait for atleast fifteen minutes on samsung logo , it takes some time on the first boot after rooting . . . phone aint bricked buddy . . . .
Or try to install a pre-rooted ROM via ODIN, e.g. a rooted stock ROM like [ROM][GSM] XWJPJ Pre-Rooted Firmware [1/11/2011] or the - in my opinion - better Overcome ROM. In both cases observe the installing instructions, then everything should be fine.
I have it running on 2.2 rooted. Now I need a way to get Google talk with video... Guessing I need to find a 2.3 ROM. Which are the best for VZW? Any have Google talk with video installed?

Have you followed the guide?
You tried searching first? Your not the first to ask "How do I root my tab?"
Follow the guide --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=812367
Then ask questions if it doesn't work.

Yea.. That does not work. U should not have followed that.. But u can easily correct it. Either flash a new firmware (search the general section for a tutorial on how to flash a firmware) or flash any custom ROM using clockwork mod recovery..

Andro-ID is not a stock ROM
There are enogh stock versions on http://www.sammobile.com/
But, it requires an account to view download links.

I have a gsm p1000 and use the overcome 4.0 gingerbread rom by alterbridge86 on xda developers site. It's quite stable, smooth and fast. No problems after a month of use.
Site is down atm but the alternridge forum has mirror sites with the appropriate files.

Overcome is down for now. Here's a mirror = guide... In the event of preferring zips to install ; take a look at AF974's recent ROM.
As for theming, use the Kitchen and build a theme to measure.

thanx man, will try it for sure, but will I loose my touchwiz? and man thanx a lot, if u need any gamea or apps for ur tab I can send u some links for ur help. . . just private message me. . . btw thanx. . . .
You can do this for GB stock'ish or just go with full_overcome4.0 rom which is an all in one rom+kernel
Go here and download gbsafe_v5. Zip. It has everything you need including drivers and odin files
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1317384
Also download overcome-kernel_4. 0.tar file as well.
Once you downloaded these two files plug in your tab to usb and wait for that phone and pc screen or download mode screen.
Go here and follow steps up to 10.
magrathearoms.weebly.com/install.html
Your phone is now stock'ish GB with OC'ed kernel including custom clockwork recovery. This version also comes with phone capabilities unlocked so you can use it like a real phone. All you have to do is load tmobile. Modem file. If not then use as wifi only.

Hi,
Loosing the TouchWiz depends on the ROM you choose to flash, most (if not all) custom Rom's don't include it and stay as close as possible to stock/AOSP...
Cheers
not sure if anybody know what could've caused my P1000 to
reboot whenever i turn off Flight Mode with sim card inserted.
i'm a proud OverCome user since OverCome 3.1.
wiped off my tab after system slowed down cos i wrongly forced
move app to SD.
i install it 100% using the guide with wipe option,
my tab got rebooted whenever phone calls coming in or after phone calls.
flashed with stock rom from samfirmware, tried DXJPC, JPJPC.. all same results.
pit file is gt-p1000_mr.pit
not sure what problem..
i'm using P1000, Malaysia (GSM)
thank you in advanced for any advices
Not a hundred percent sure but I think the device needs the reboot to register the sim.

The deal about modems is the differences in supported bands. You seem to be originally on modem DDJPA (baseband) If you flashed the OC 4 you should still be on it as OC doesn't include modems. Your best guess is to take a look at the modem thread and pick JPZ or JQ2, as I did
BTW, OC 4.1 is out with a more up to date kernel based on GB 2.3.6...

Hello guys I just sold my 4S and bought this Note 1 , anyway im new to android flashing and this stuff , ive heard that its way different than iOS restoring which is really easy and simple. Right now i got a few questions , If i missed a step or did something wrong it'll render my device unusable ofcourse , but will it be unrecoverable ? Thats the first thing. Second thing is that is it recommended that i install custom roms? right now i need one's with the Water Ripple effects on lockscreens , or if you can just tell me how to install the effect without custom rom's that'll be helpful because i want to flash official 4.1.2 jelly bean first and then the lockscreen effect. Im just new to the Android stuff and i dont know where to start Same feeling back in 2008 when i bought my first iPhone and got confused n' all
Read around for awhile, its what got me started when I first came here.
Again, read, read read, and avoid asking questions which have been answered countless times its annoying really.

If you just install stock official 4.1.2 rom via odin, it should come with the ripple effect.
Or if the update is already available in your country, you can just update it to the latest official rom via kies.

You'll notice that all of the download links are zip files.
You just need to extract the zip file until you find the .tar file.
Get 7-zip if you don't already have an archive reader.
Help with kernel
So recently I rooted my Samsung Galaxy Note GTN7000 and flash it with franco kernel, then when I turned on my phone the bluetooth is not working and it constantly crashes and get stuck (The screen just go green and pink like an old TV with bad signal). So I panicked and unroot it immidiately. But that didnt seem to solve the problem.
So my question is, can I flash it with the original kernel. If so how? and where can I get it. can you teach me. (NOOB REQUEST )
just flash the stock rom again... using PC odin
Alright guys thanks for the reply , i heard theres a way you cab install roms without pc since i just want to install official 4.1.2 , ill do some research

Yep, there's a way to install roms without PC, using mobile Odin, but before that you should have your phone been rooted first.
Well i can upgrade with PC but im kinda afraid .. All i want is just updating to jelly bean official on my note , I searched for about 2 days and learned how its being done but while searching i came to posts showing people crying cause they got their phone bricked cause of kernel blah blah , i also saw at the end of the installation guides that it will get my phone in a boot loop or stuck at samsung logo and im not sure xD i just want to update and im taking it seriously cause i dont want to brick my phone .. If someone can walk me through step by step id be thankful , we can use skype or something xD

Wait a few minutes. Let me get on my PC and I'll give you step-by-step instructions.
Now, do this:
Since you're scared, we'll do this the safest way possible
1.)Download a stock GB rom from here.(You can always come back to this ROM if you run into any trouble).Flash it via PC Odin.
2.)Wipe data and cache from recovery (Press Vol Up+Power+Home when phone is off in order to boot to recovery)
3.)Download stock JB rom from here.Flash it via PC Odin.
OR
1.)Update using Kies.
You're done

Im following this method right now , so i just download Gingerbread (550+mb i think?) and install via odin and then i have gingerbread? No additional steps ? No chance of loops/errors/bricks or anything or installing additional kernels like some people said cause that's whats confusing me ... i dont really want any custom kernal i want jelly bean stock ... if anybody could guide me through skype i'd be thankful
EDIT: Iv'e read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1633938 thread carefully and it says that if you wipe using Settings you will get eMMC bug , i was on 4.0.4 and wiped but it booted normally without any problems (No loops No Restarting on its own No lags) and it was smooth , even though that app from playstore says my chip is insane .. Somebody explain this :S ?

Yes, then you'll have gingerbread. Don't forget to wipe after installing gingerbread.
It may brick. Not definite that it will brick. Still, better safe than sorry. Never wipe on stock ICS kernel!
