Hi There!
Just bought the HTC One. After running this following code I get my RUU is 1.28.61.10
Code:
fastboot getvar version-main
I could not find any RUU with that code. Can you please tell me what is my RUU region? And where can I find RUUs for my phone?
Thanks in advance.
IIRC that's Orange UK...
Thanks For the answer.
Does that mean every time I have wait for orange for an update? I'm new to HTC. Can someone please explain?

Or go custom...but without an RUU you'd be stuck unless you make a Nandroid and keep it VERY safe

use the all in one toolkit
Enter the following command - fastboot getvar version-main, which will tell you which ruu or nandroid version you will need.

I'm trying to get back to stock rom, i've watched many videos on this today alone and here's what i think i know...
i need to download the relevant RUU to force back into stock, the RUU i need is only in OTA.ZIP format which the All In One tool (that was so kindly pressented to me on a silver platter ) doesnt like. I am an expert in unlocking / locking the bootloader though...

no. in the toolkit there is a check cid run that command
You're running the Vodafone UK ROM at the mo and I'm pretty sure that RUU hadn't surfaced

Not to worry. When we have S-OFF you can flash any RUU you like. So it will be back to stock. The only bad thing is if you REALLY want to have all the Vodafone bloatware back that came from your original ROM. But there are other vodafone RUUs I think, but just not from your region.

First we need your device's CID number.
The fastboot command is: fastboot getvar cid.
Then search for the stock rom for your CID.

Go to revone http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2314582 and make sure to remove the tampered and relocked messages and get S-Off while you still can with Hboot 1.44.. Then flash the latest Europe RUU from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2207874.

You mean HTC__J15? You have to search google for the RUU for that CID. It's an Arabic rom and I'm having no luck finding it myself.
If none is available, you can follow @gee2012's advise. Carries a bit of risk tho.
Edit: This RUU from here might work. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=42931982&postcount=1061
Or, try searching this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39588860

This is what the RUU folder has several .win files and some md5s
Not sure if it is suppose to look like that
Is it a .zip file or an .exe?
Are you S-off or S-on?
Are you certain the RUU is for your cid?
Is the RUU newer or at least the same version as you are currently running?
You need to know the answer to these questions before you attempt to flash it otherwise it may nit work.

Hopefully you downloaded the executable .exe RUU
If you got a .zip, then download the exe here: http://sdrv.ms/1bGfkdU
Make sure you have CID: CWS__001 and 1.44 hboot (assuming you're on AT&T)
Boot into fastboot mode and run the RUU.
S-off before anything! It's better to get it now than after the update (there's no possible way to s-off after the update....yet)
