I have a rooted bionic using the [K]IN3TX rom. I have been getting battery issues; such as the indicator will stay at 1% or the battery wont charge. Has anyone experienced this, if so have you have any advice.

Hi All;
I have a Modaco's custom ROM (the latest) installed on my Tattoo and I noticed one issue.
Of course, I am not sure if this has been caused due to my custom rom or otherwise, but has anyone notice the ever reducing battery backup capacity in your tattoo's ??
If I charge my mobile to full capacity in the morning, by the time it is evening, the battery charge level drops to yellow and by late night, I get a warning that 15% battery is remaining.
I am connected to internet all day, either through w-lan, or through edge.
Of course, I tried enabling power save mode for w-lan and quite a few other tricks, all of no avail.
So, has anyone observed the same problem before ? If so, how did you solve it ?
Thanks
Shyam
Its normal for the battery to be drained if you are connected all day. Try turning the WiFi and Mobile Networks off and then confirm how long it lasts. My guess it'd double the time..almost
I have same problem as Shyamk
i've also noticed slightly higher battery drain when using modaco custom rom

i find this hard to believe! i've fully charged my phone last night. woke up at 7AM and at 4PM pluged in the charger.I'm using stock ROM.
Removed modaco's rom and installef fyodor's rom. Surprise, the battery seems to last longer.
Fully charged in the morning, continuous internet usage all day, and battery is still green ;-)

Using custom modaco ROM here...
No problems at all with battery drain.
Cheers
No battery drain issues too with modaco.
You have to know that when you're on a place which has a poor signal strengh, your phone will use many battery to keep the connexion alive...
Hi guys,
after flashing the starburst rom and over clocking and several tries to calibrate the battery my battery is still draining a mile a minute. I used the battery calibration app....have let the battery fully drain and charge at least 5 times now and I still can't get back my battery life!
I'm thinking the root of the problem, well...when I go to settings than battery use it says the screen is using between 70-80% of the battery...I am assuming that what is sucking the life out of my battery but I have no idea how to fix it. my screen time out is at 30 seconds...brightness is almost as low as it can get. ITS DRIVING ME NUTS
I am assuming I calibrated the battery correctly cause it does not drain at all when the screen is locked.
please, any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I am ready to rip my hair out!
I just opened battery calibration app its at 70% 4mv isn't it supposed to be like 4000mv? or is just abbreviated?
I just flashed a new rom and still having the same issue!
trying to calibrate the new rom using battery calibration and its barely charging...been stuck on 61% 4mv for about a half hour now..
is it possible that this problem is being caused because I installed the roms with ROM manager and not CWM?
I apologize for what questions may seem dumb...I am a noob....but i have searched relentlessly for answers on this specific problem here with out finding much yet.
disregard that last question..lol..u can see how badly this has my brain turned upside down
So, here's what's going on. Regardless of what rom, kernel, or battery I am using (I have 3), my Captivate will freeze when I have over 85% battery, reboot, and then when it starts up again, I will have 7% or 8% battery left. This has happened on Stock 2.3, WeUI, and REmics - UX (the last two are ICS). I'm thinking this is a hardware problem, but any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Have you considered buying a new battery, of borrowing a friends, to test?
Did you try wiping battery stats and doing calibration?
i think it's a battery stat problem.
after it goes down to 7%, did you try to use it until it's empty? (0%)
if you haven't you could try that and after it dies, charge it again to it's full capacity.
Scenario: Overnight Charging
ROM: Stock
- Battery charges to 100% 4.2V, Charging stops, battery starts draining, to 4.1V then charging starts again to top up the charge. this happens repeatedly overnight. I believe this is ideal.
ROM: Custom ICS or JB
- Battery charges to 100% 4.2V. Charging stops but battery just continously drain. No top up charging occurs.
ROM: Stock Again
- Battery charges like before. 100% then top up charging
I think this is a ROM or Kernel issue, but im probably wrong. Is there a fix to get Top Up charging for custom roms and kernels?
Install better battery stats app from xda and try to investigate the reason behind battery drain.
im not concerned about the fact that its draining, im concerned that its not topping up the charge.
ok, so i am now using project x 4.1 with redux .7 kernel. the charge is topping up. im happy now . i wish a JB rom will have a nice working kernel soon :fingers-crossed:
Hy I suppose that I'm not the only one having battery problems on CM10.
First issue is that my batter doesn't ever charge to 100%, it stopts around 98% and never get higher even if I let it charging whole night.
Also juice started to drain faster since I started flashing this ROM.
Do you have any suggestion what could help me solve those issues?
Thanks in advice
