Hi!
Welcome to everyone. This is my first post.
I bought a Galaxy ace about one week back. It is really good>
Only problem is battery.
So today I bought a power bank.
5000mAh 2 USB output Mobile Power Bank Charger
here is the ebay link.

Power Bank is a good idea but its still a bit of a weight. Also when your out, you can't hold on to both things right?
Yep...
That is a con. with a cable it's sucks...

A power bank is really a very great idea, but you to choose one with fantastic performance is not easy. Suggest you guys search on amazon, the price may a little higher than ebay, but the quality must be greater.
Recommended this one on amazon - RAVPower Dynamo-On-the-Go RP-PB03 5600mAh External Battery Pack and Charger
power banks are useful.
yes, for day to day use you dont really want to carry one around with you, but 8 hour coach trip, a powerbank means you can play music and games on the journey and not have to worry about a dead batter at the other end, or, if as I do, you spend a sunday each year sitting on the champs elysees in paris from 8am to 7pm watching the tour with your internet on the go finding out race info.

it's about 47$
if u do please tell me how it performs ... i heard and read that legend battery isn't quite impressive :| ... i really like this phone ! if someone tried tell me plz! i'm lookin 2 buy a legend myself ( i own a blackstone and is ... about same thing : with light usage hardly 2 days ! )
Legend battery sucks. Anyone had any experience with the mugen brand?
To bad they dont tell what the Whr of the battery is.
And all the "reviews" are of other batteries and a few years old.
Wonder how the managed to engineer a 50% bigger capacity battery in the legend since there is no margin for any physical increase of the battery.
jjs87: Why? The battery can't run on a different voltage so the capacity in mAh is clear enough.
Has the battery been tested?
Any new infos?

I haven't bought it yet because my Legend is new
And for that i Don't know it's real power. At the end of The day with 3g or WiFi always on i have about 30-50% for now.
I bought one, but it is currently out of stock. I think, it will ship July 9th?
When I receive it, I will review it and post my results. I am surprised someone has not yet already done this.
Someone on a Dutch forum has this battery and will report in a few days. I will post his findings here!
tks, i look forward to know how it behaves, but from what i've red, Mugen is an awsome brand with lots of quality products.
lets wait and see

Did he buy it from the same place TC posted or did he get it from a shop in Holland?
I hope the latter since I'm anxious for a hicap battery for my Legend
Yes, I think he bought it on the same website. He hasn't posted anything at the moment though..
Edit:
First review from a Dutch forum (translated from Dutch, so it might be a little iffy):
I've got the Mugen Power Extended Battery for HTC 1800mAh Legend BB00100 a few days now. Enough time (following the instructions) to fully charge and empty the battery a few times. I drained the battery by leaving the phone running Google Maps navigation. Yesterday and today was the first normal use.
Old situation: Before I had this battery, I was happy if the battery could make it through one working day. With light use in the morning, and in the evening with 40-50% left to do some web browsing. If I didn't put it on the charger at night, the next morning it was about 15%, not enough to start the day. Under normal to heavy use I never made it to the end of the day without charging in between.
New situation: With the same kind of usage it's about 70% in the evening. Again some web browsing before bed and no charger. This morning there was still 43%.
Conclusion: I still put it on the charger because I'm still unlikely to make it through an entire day. But what's clear is that I can make it easily through one day even with heavier use, no more charging in between. That makes the purchase worth for me.
Don't expect that you now can navigate for hours without draining your battery because that won't change. That was exactly what I hoped it would cause. Nothing more annoying than a device to with normal to heavy use that won't make it through one day. Striking is that the Battery Graph program (from where I get these measurements) shows that this battery longer stays at 100% and about as steep downhill runs compared to the standard battery.

Hi,
What about the size of the Mugen Power Extended 1800mAh Battery? Is it the same size as the original 1300mAh one? If not, how much bigger it is? Any photos?
On Mugen website it says:
"The extra size and weight increases pale into insignificance when you consider the true convenience the battery gives... it represents excellent value for money."
Thanks!
hey guys, consider searching a topic i think it's here @ xda about batteries.
It's ridiculous, the best battery currently is the original one from HTC.
All the others either don't have the announced capacity, or don't fully charge.
if I find it i'll update this post.

Thanks, Mafiatounes. I thought that logically, but was confused by the statement on Mugen's website ("The extra size and weight...").
So, is it worth buying?
For me its worth buying my legrnds standard battery runs for 8h of heavy use and I need about 12h at least I think only mugen can provide that amount of power

Hey guys,
Got my hands on the Mugen Power Batteries (thanks to the folks over there for sending them out free of charge!) - both the 3300 mah and 1600 mah capacities. I wanted to provide an accurate comparison between these and the stock battery so I took my time with the review, getting a general idea of the overall usage and then putting them into test experiment.
You can see the whole experiment and full review below, but basically put, the 3300 mah battery is FANTASTIC, meeting my high expectations. On the other hand, the 1600 mah battery is disappointing to put it lightly.

Yep, I agree. That's why I only recommended it to those who really did NEED the extra power, I'm sure there is a small market of people who would find it essential. Thanks for your input!

I agree too. It's waaaaaay too much ca$h for it. Furthermore, it even makes the NS look fat, so you're in a lose-lose situation instead of a win-win.
Instead, I would recommend an OEM 1440 mAh, or maybe even 2 of these, which you can find at around 5 $ on eBay. It's way cheaper and it retains the original NS thickness. Granted, you will have to reboot the device each time you connect a new battery, but hell... I would prefer at anytime this method instead of a fat NS, really now... (it just looks ugly, even though maybe it is pretty decent to hold in hands).
Anyway, it was a pleasure watching the video, so thank you very much for putting the effort in it, I really appreciate it !
Glad to help! Comments like yours keep me going

Back again. Question: have you taken the batteries through a couple of cycles of charges before the test ?
Yes I did, the batteries came with instructions on how to condition and cycle them, so I did so 4 times (the amount they recommended)

Thanks a lot for the input.
I had extended batteries for my evo and epic. Both ran longer than stock obviously. The evo battery, even though it had less capacity than the epic's, it lasted longer. My biggest complaint with bigger batteries is that there isn't usually any case you can find that fits the fat phone. I really hate not having a case to help protect the phone against any unforeseen accidents. Both battery door covers had cheesy build quality and the epic didn't snap shut completely.
It's a damn shame too because it's so awesome to be able to stay away from a charger all day long, then plug it in when you go to bed.
FYI on a thread I started on this battery over in the g2x group.. So far, it seems promising. I'll keep it updated as I receive responses from those that are using the battery - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1104665
well they seems quite afraid of this ....
Sounds interesting, will keep a eye on this thread, hopefully some full tests will be done on the battery.

i was using this brand when i have my desire z, the battery itself is really giving some extra time, but it get "fat" fast when compared with original. "fat" means reduce battery saving power. so, if compared with the original one, in long term usage, andida won't give you any good compared with original one.
I've just buyed one. I think that this could extend a lot my battery life. At least with OEM battery I coul ony use my phone for 12 houres
I have bought and received the battery now. Seems fine, but I will need more time to really notice any difference. Aslo, my stock battery kept my phone running for 40 hours on a single charge (phone is running on CM7 based ROM, stock ROM never lasted that long, 20 hours max).
So? Worth buying or not?

"Do" take a chance, Anker make superb batteries that work either equal to or better than the originals in terms of life span and quality. I've tried batteries from other manufacturers in the past and had my first Anker, all the way back when I had my HTC Desire, ever since then it's the only 3rd party battery producer I trust.
I've tried others, but they just don't compare in my opinion.

Though it's a great price I can't justify to buy it because the current battery last me 1.5-2days. What do I do with the spare battery? What do you guys do? Buy it as spare and use it once a blue moon? Or switch every so often to spread stress of battery?
Removal of case is also tedious..

I agree. I see no point in a 2nd battery for the Note 2 unless you live in a place where there is constant power outages that may last a day. But if you are in North America I see no reason.
It's $10 for americans, so half price. I ordered one, never know when you forget to charge it one might or are super low and need to go out somewhere.

Confirmed!
I'm no battery expert, but I doubt leaving a battery fully charged for a day, Is going to destroy it, that's like saying you have to remove your phone off charge once it's compete (which is recommended by all manufacturers).
If the battery gets fully charged at 3AM in the morning, I challenge you to show me a Muppet, that wakes up from sleep, just to take their phone off charge, in fear of damaging the battery due to over charging haha.
If someone does do that however.... then they seriously need to get laid and chill the hell out

I'd rather have the battery and not need it than need it and not have it. For £6 it's hardly gonna break the bank. Agreed the Note 2 has a sh*t-hot battery, but it's still new to me and i have it in use ALL the time so i'm powering through the juice at a fair rate of knots. Anyway, you can never have enough power.

True that it is cheap, only time I considered a 2nd battery is when I was nearing the end if my contract of old phone and battery was bit tired. Though buying a battery now and let it sit there for 2 years isn't really cost effective imo. I've never had batteries fail on me, I'd like to know when is a situation where I would need power but not had enough (especially with this phone).
If you hike, or its for an 'emergency' why not just buy one of those 50,000mah chargers? yes they cost more than £6 but then you can charge many devices, many times, and actually let it sit there for ages as there is a lot of mah for natural discharge.

Sv: [HEADS UP] Anker N7100 Battery on offer £5.99
Listening to internet radio drains the battery pretty quickly so I always have a couple of spare batteries with me to swap with. Don't like plugging in my phone all the time as soon as I'm close to an outlet.

I do have an external/portable battery charger too, but it's just not ideal when you're half way up a mountain, having a cables attached to the device you just want to whip out, check your bearing, then stick it back in your pocket again, it's just too cumbersome.
Having the extra batteries (for my personal situation) means, I can use my Note with MM Tracker or Memory Map, to guide me around the wilderness and not have to worry about conserving life.
I sometimes like to track the routes I take as well, that feature alone drains your juice like it's going out of fashion, If you want a fairly accurate track at least, as it has to poll it's position quite frequently.
I'll probably use two batteries at a time on a day-to-day basis and keep one, part charged. At the end of a day, I'll remove battery 1, put it on charge and use battery 2 the following day, then do the same the following week but replace battery 2 for battery 3. At 6 quid each, I'm not bothered that there will be a battery sat fully charged for a day whilst not in use, as it's not being left in storage fully charged long enough for it to be affected in my opinion, not short term at least anyway.
It seems impossible To find an anker or hyperion extended battery on amazon/ebay uk
. Does someone manage to buy one of them from uk?
Got my Gear VR on Christmas eve, loving it so far but not played with it for hours at a time so not had a problem with the battery as yet,
but I was thinking that maybe attaching a QI pad to the back of the phone would allow you to play longer?
Not had chance to have a go yet, but there could be problems with heat & maybe the weight of the QI pulling the Gear down on your nose, that would be bad for me as i have a BIG nose lol
But just a idea if anyone wants to give it a go?
P.S
Happy Christmas to all

I'm just getting an extended battery and attaching a piece of foam to the cover plate to hold it in place. It'll add some weight, but I'd rather have the 10Ah battery and be able to watch movies all day

I have seen inexpensive wireless charging cards on amazon. I think it would be easier to just remove micro usb end from cable and solder it straight to card. I dont think wireless charging would keep up with power demand. They are usually rated 0.6 A while factory charger is 2.4 A.

Good point, Its a shame Samsung didn't add a battery compartment to the Gear VR to give us the choice of extra power/weight
another simple option is to keep a couple of spare batteries on hand charged up and swap when needed.

Apparently people use their note 4 without a back cover when using the Gear VR (for the heat issue?) o3o guess doing the battery swap thing would be super easy for those people :3 Gives the phone a chance to cool off a bit as well during the down time Maybe someone can spend an entire day with the Gear VR on using this method and 5 or more batteries

I don't understand why it's hard for people to do this. I bought the battery kit before I got the Gear VR and I always swap the battery each morning. I even had the spare battery kit for the Note 2 and 3 and have gotten use to battery swapping. Even when using Gear VR I just swap my battery when I take my phone out the case. Even if I run down the battery in Gear VR mode the other battery will be fully charged. With the official battery kit this is not an issue.

You sir are ready for a week long power outage. That's 5 total batteries! 2 batteries have been enough for me but one more would not hurt.
I love removable batteries and the fact that the Note 4 boots so quick. I don't understand the joy in being tied to a charger.

I left all of them fully charged and place them in my 3 different important places, one is in my office, in my car, and one inside my gear vr case, and lastly, in my pocket with me everyday..
I really hate being tied to a charger (wall hugger) while using the phone, that's what kills my iphones battery long time ago.
Just get a zerolemon 10000 mah battery off amazon for 69 bucks. It fits perfectly under the vr's shield and will last hours upon hours. The case for the battery is bulky, but it works fine without* the backing on your phone.

$59.99 today! Just ordered one!
Nice. Hope you enjoy it. If you trickle charge it (via a low powered 1v charger) the battery will last a full day at least of vr. 3 days of average phone use.

I decided to get another standard size battery as backup on the move, can anyone recommend one, or is it best to stick with the Samsung branded only?
if i go with the Samsung Im thinking to get the charging kit with spare battery, costs around £30

What phone are you talking about that fits inside gear vr with a zerolemon battery?
They all fit?
