[Q] [REQ/QUESTION] ICS with Gingerbread theme - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I do not like the blue/cyan color of ICS, I like it green.
How can I change this or will someone make us a gingerbread theme for ICS?
I tried the gingerbread theme for ADW but that only changes the shape of it not the color. It's mainly just the color, so not the app drawer and laucher.
And how do I get the clock back in my status bar?

don't know bout a GB theme, but I can definitely tell you that you should have a clock in the notification/status bar, just like in GB.. maybe try a new clean flash of ics..!?

Got the clock back, it's now only gone when you go to the lockscreen, but I don't think that shouldn't be like that.

For those using CM6 and miss sense

Before i say anything i say right now i take no credit for any of this work, im only mirroring a thread and spreading the love.
i missed some of the simple parts of sense, like the color and icons and the launcher so i found something to bring it back

Edit: seems the Vatsense removes the auto brightness toggle, for me this isnt an issue but beware for those who depend upon it

Nice Find! works great! Feels like 2.1 sense
if your looking for a HTC Sense flipclock exact replica, get fancy widget.
HTC ripped it off the market, they didnt like it, but if you google for the apk, you can find it... V1.3.0
AND, if your looking for a sense lockscreen, use widget locker,
you can set the UI to Sense under its settings
looks pretty cool.

Here's my screenshot! i love this theme for cm6
I use weather and toggle widget off the market you can tweak it with skinz off the market to look exactly like htc clock. I like the stock clear look cause you can see the live wallpaper.

not many people know this for some odd reason but even before i found this it was possible from the start to change the status bar to any color you choose (purple, red, gree, black...) you would hafta got to CM settings and go into user interface from there and theres alot of options to change the colors and even the transparency of the pulldown bar, text colors, ect.

tis true, my bar is quite black
I figured that out after I flashed this when I changed from black to white

I was able too get status bar black and text white except when I use the pull down the date in the top left is black and can't get it to go white no biggie but maybe someone can help.

Reboot.
if that doesn't work, you can go under the notification colors, and under the status bar notifications(the first section), make sure everything is #ffffff
Did all the that and still it stays black. Every thing else is perfect.

Make sure you set it to #ffffffff and after typing in the color code, press the white circle in the center or it won't save.

Transparent notification bar

Im looking for a theme with a transparent notification bar. I did find one the othe day but cant find it now! I wanted to use it with stock jpy rom. Anyone know of such a theme?

I'd like that too. I'm on Darky's and the bar is all black, flat, makes the screen look smaller. I'd love to see a hint of the wallpaper through that...

Changing status bar color

Hi guys,
I am using motorola milestone with official 2.2.1. I want to change my status bar colour to black. Please anybody tell me the procedure or point me to the right thread.

Maybe a theme for adw launcher could make the status bar. I'm guessing you want to get the gingerbread effect on froyo.

Changing Status bar to black

Is there an easy way to make my status bar black and I guess the text white? Without an entire custom rom, just replacing a file or 2. I'm using a Motorola Triumph by the way, and I'll probably just test it with my old Optimus V first, in case.

Yes! I wanna ask the same question, i have LG Optimus-One P500 with CM7 RC1. But when on stock froyo, we have a white status bar, how can we mod it to black?

Yeah exactly. I hate the white bar. I love darker wallpapers, makes it much more attractive in my opinion. I would love the status bar to match.

[Theme CM10]Froyo

I have been using this froyo theme for awhile on both cm10.1 and 10.2 and i love it.
you will want to install projectretro_v1.3.apk and projectretro_percentage.apk.
If you are running cm10 I'd assume you know how to change themes and change the battery icon in the status bar, but if not here is what you need to do.
go to
system settings>themes .. apply the theme
then
system settings>system>status bar>battery status style ........change the battery style icon to "Icon"
Love the theme. I never had a chnce to see froyo bcoz its already in gingerbread when i start using android phone. Nice theme, thanks for sharing.
