Difference between models (N7000, i9100)? - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a n7000 from Germany but I see many people in the US talking about the i9100 (?) model. I searched Google but couldn't find much on the differences between the two. Is it anything significant?

N7000 is the Galaxy Note.
i9100 is the Galaxy S II.

Well I feel stupid Mods can close or delete this thread

If it helps, I think the model name you're trying to compare with N7000 is i9220 not i9100. If so, there's a thread around here on that. )

Is it true that Samsung will not upgrade the GT P1010 (wifi only)

I read in a forum that Samsung have stated that there will not be a 2.3.3 Update available for the Galaxy Tab P1010 (wifi only).
I do not know if that is true, the guys from the original thread have been given the same BS answers or a negative one from The Samsung Support from various locations.
Do any of you guys have any idea or have heard anything about this issue?
Thanks.
P.S. I am never buyng Samsung again.
Well the Wifi version is an inferior version of its 3G cousin dues to its lesser CPU/GPU. They are probably trying to get the update to work with those different parts.
http://www.engadget.com/2011/05/04/wifi-galaxy-tab-running-on-an-older-cpu-than-its-3g-siblings/
I guess that most of the P1010 users are familiar with that, but i do not think that is enough for Samsung to spare us this major upgrade.
It SHOULD not be. I agree with you.
I also posted over at the Galaxy Tab Forums for you as well.
Let us hope that Samsung sees the errors of its ways.
this news sucks
i bought the gt p1010 cause it is ideal for when it comes to school stuff
this news really saddens me

[Help] Is the rom or n70000 compatible with shv-e1605 note?

HI,
I have purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note 46 LTE (shv-e1605). May I know if the rom of N7000 is compatible with this device? If not is there someone there who knew a rom that can remove the 80 character limit of this Note.
God bless!
Thanks,
Thomie
If it's a LTE Note with SnapDragon processor, then nothing from this forum can be
used for your phone. No Roms, no themes, no mods, nothing.
However, this is where you might have a look:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1496
Thanks,
I will check on this.
That's a Korean note, the link you gave him is not going to help him.
OP, you have to go to the korean note pages and they have roms there but it is all in Korean so I haven't been able to figure out the pluses or minuses of them or even download them. I think you are out of luck honestly. There isn't much benefit to rooting anymore anyway. Only for themes really. 90% of these roms are so flawed and annoying it's not worth the hassle.
Good luck though, i haven't been able to get much hacking support for my Korean note up to this point, maybe you'll have better luck!

[Q] GT-P7510-Official ICS Release Notification?

Hey folks, this may seem like a dumb question.
I've got a 16GB WiFi-only Galaxy Tab 10.1 (GT-P7510). I'm running AOKP on it and I'm somewhat happy with that, but I'd like my camera and other stuff to work. As far as I can tell, the only way that's going to happen is after the stock ICS is released (need the stock ICS kernel for the hardware to all work correctly). There's no ETA on the official release of ICS for my device, just that it will happen "sometime". I registered my device at:
http://www.samsung.com/us/support/account
Is there any other / better way to get notified when ICS is released / leaked? Is this the best forum to be looking at for such an announcement?
sorry. it seems many people viewed this thread, but no one replied.
I, too dont know the answer maybe you can try posting in Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1 forum, bec. this is the galaxy tab P1000 and galaxy tab P1010 forum (i think)

Looking into a Samsung Galaxy Tab PT-1000N

Heya guys, a friend of mine is selling me his Samsung Galaxy Tab, serial number PT-1000N, which is the Latin American version. Now, I gave a quick view into these forums and it has been hard to find specifications to this particular device. I'd like to know which ROMs I can install and any experiences you'd may had with it or heard about. I already went to Team Overture's web site and saw that this device is not compatible with their ROMs. I won't buy a device I can't mod and install any rom I want as I do with my Samsung Galaxy Ace. Thanks for all the help you guys can provide me.
*bump*

[Q] ROMs for the P7510?

Does anyone know where I can find roms for the 10.1 wifi-only P7510? All the roms listed seem to be for gsm/cmda or for the smaller (7") wifi model. I had an old ICS build at one point for my tablet, but I can't seem to find that one anymore either.
Alternately, does anyone know if I can use other roms on the P7510?
Thanks!

Dude, your in wrong forum.
If you want 10.1 roms go to the 10.1 forum. This is the P1000 forum (first 7" tab) and is a completely different device.
given the name of the forums...
Samsung Galaxy Tab -->Galaxy Tab General --> [Q] ROMs for the P7510?
That's completely misleading.
Thanks though.

How is it completely misleading? Its you who is completely confused.
The P1000 was the first Galaxy Tab, It was/is just called "Galaxy Tab".
What you have is a newer model called "Galaxy Tab 10.1" which is a completely different device. Also, you obviously didn't even bother to look properly or you would have seen the other Tab forums.
There is more then one Galaxy Tab so obviously there is going to be more then one Galaxy Tab forum, pretty much common sense really.
