weird flashing JVU - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

im from CM9 then flashed the JVS and then the midnight kernel using Odin3 v1.85
after flashing the JVS, it restarts and the CWM logo blinks then the password. i removed battery and then flashed the midnight kernel 0.8.4 using Odin too, but got stuck in the middle, at the zImage part. doesn't continue to flash. i've tried to install the latest semaphore kernel beta too, after flashed, it restarts then with the password again same thing happened after flashing the JVS. then i've downloaded the JVU rom and flashed it for like twice, then tried to switch kernels. but still couldn't go through the password.
how can i pass that password? i couldn't go recovery because it goes to the password again, only working is download mode, i remember when the first time i rooted my phone, it's not like this.
any help please? i left my phone at our home, i'm at school atm. because i couldn't even use it. thanks in advance!!

[Q] I think I'm half bricked.. Help

Hello,
I own a I-897 Captivate model, and I had a custom 2.3.4 gignerbread rom recently..
Latley I tried to move to cognition becuase the other rom did problems for me..
So I followed the guide, and when I first flashed the kernel I wasn't using any pit file..
So it's just stuck on odin with nothing happening, so I closed odin and rebooted my phone.
Then the phone showed me a logo with phone and computer with X between them.
So I flashed again using the pit then I got to the recovery, where I tried to install the cognition 5.2 without succes, it finished the install, but when I rebooted it just kept switching between the boot screen of AT&T and Galaxy S GT I9000..
So I tried to use my Nandroid backup, but it just won't work, I tried to install it manually and still it isn't working..
So I tried to instal my previous rom and succeeded, but now when I reboot it it just loading the Talon logo, finishes it and stuck on the end of the loading without any action...
So, I can use the download mode and odin.
What should I do?
Thank you very much.
What build number is your phone

Please I beg you to stop what you're doing and just Read, Read like your life depends on it and keep reading till you can flash with utter confidence least you permanently brick your Cappy.

I have read tons of time,
I tried to install Cyanogenmod, but it seems when I get to the recovery it doesn't work..
I flashed the recovery through CWM, but its very limited and blue not bright green or yellow as always.
I only got 4 options:
Reboot
Re-Install packges
Wipe user data
Wipe cahce
How do I get my recovery work properly?
That's not CMW that's the regular 3e recovery. You'll need to flash a kernel with CMW built in or one with an alternate recovery (I usually use an Onix kernel)

I've flashed a full gingerbread stock rom, with boot loaders and it works fine,
but now I can't get to the download mode, so I cant flash the rooted kernel..
I'm stucked unrooted, How can I root it?
It's Gingerbread 2.3.3 UCKF1 Build stock rom.
Pull out your battery, Sim, and SD card. Plug your usb cable into a usb port on the back of your computer then plug it into your phone. Hold volume up and down then reinsert your battery, should boot into download mode.

[Q] Boot screen 'corrupt'

Since I installed a version of Darky's ROM a while back, my boot screen has always been corrupt. I get the Samsung Logo, then the screen becomes all pixellated for a few seconds. The phone then boots as normal and works fine.
Now I want to have a go at an ICS ROM, but when I boot into recovery mode, I have the same problem. The text is all corrupt and I cant read any of the options.
Has anyone seen this before and know how to fix it?
Thanks
Have you tried just going to download and flashing stock rom using ODIN?
As buttwad said, flashing stock rom via ODIN is only solution...
i too faced this problem after darky's rom..
i flashed stock gingerbread via odin and now flashed Onecosmic's ICS 4.0.3 RC1..

Stuck in boot loop... NEED HELP..!!!

Just tried to root my fone using CF-Root-XX_OXA_JVO-v3.2-CWM3RFS and unexpectedly it started showing the " Phone---!---Computer " screen... It won't get to the recovery mode...
But I somehow managed to get it in the download mode and got the stock rom ( I9000DDJV6_ODDJV6_DDJV4 ) finally flashed after getting stuck at factoryfs.rfs like a million of times and after excessive hair loss...
However... Now the fone starts, shows " Samsumg GT-i9000 " screen... Followed by the animation + sound screen with a big " S " glowing in the center of the screen.... it keeps glowing for about a minute and then screen goes black and the animation again starts... on and on and on....
Kindly help me the way out of it...!!!!!
Have you tried to install the stock rom again with odin?
This may repair the boot loop.
Let's get the bootloop out of the way first...
Flash a stock ROM with Odin. Make sure re-partition in Odin is checked!
This should get you out of the boot loop. To root, head over to Chainfire's thread and download the right version of his kernel for the stock firmware that you just flashed with Odin, make sure it's the right version or else you'll be bootlooping again. Example: if you flashed JVT, look for the kernel in his download section with "jvt" in its name. Flash that kernel with Odin (put it in PDA) and you should have a fully functionally and rooted phone with CWM recovery installed.
You should flash the stock rom (or at least the kernel)...and I suggest to use a newer rom than JV6 if available for your country (Newest roms for europe are JVZ, JW1, JVU...)
I use JVU (Value Pack) from sammobile.com...works fine.
For rooted kernel I prefer semaphore (2.5.0).

[Q] Can't boot :-P

So it all started on ICS when i couldn't boot because i had replaced a system file...
I flashed back to JVU, which when it was going to reboot just got black. I waited and pulled out battery... Then when i pressed power, nothing happened. Tried recovery. No reaction. Only download mode works. I flashed Darkyy Resurrection 9.3 (JS8] Which had exactly the same problem. Now i have flashed JVU once again, still don't work, same problem. What to do?

Did you ticked repartition when you flashed back from ICS to JVU?
As mentioned, if download mode works, a flash through ODIN using stock ROM with a pit file and repartition checked should fix most problems like this.

[Q] Bricked Gnote, no experience on the field

so i have been running Paranoid android for a while, and wanted to try this out:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2051904
flashed the latest cm10.1 kernel, and then formated cache, dalvic, battery stats, etc.
then i managed to reboot before i had flashed the new rom and got stuck in bootloop. could not access CWM any more
after this i downloaded odin after a few forum reads, and flashed different versions of CWM to see if i could get back in to flash the rom.
the latest one i have in it is this:
http://fs1.d-h.st/download/00033/pQK/GT-I9100_JB_ClockworkMod-Recovery_6.0.2.9.tar
as it was recommended in some un-brick thread. still no access to CWM
after this i flashed a stock rom, as i could not find any .md5 or .tar roms to use with odin, and i got at least a samsung logo on hte screen, before i got back to boot screen and was stuck there again.
CWM still not working, or showing up in any way.
out of obvious options i now tried flashing the pit file trough odin from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
and after this the samsung boot logo did not show up anymore. only boot loop
i am now going to try and download the older ginger bread rom and flash it trough odin, but i got no idea if it will make any difference.
otherwise phone goes to download mode just fine, and i got working drivers in windows trough kies.
im quite new to this, and dont really know what would work from here. ill end up hard bricking the phone if i don't get some help, and the trash can will be my n7000 next home.
any advice is welcome

EDIT:
flashing official rom again after the pit file acrually gave me a working phone again. also i now got 50 gb of drop box storrage for free, so thats nice
