NVFlash is the only method for now?
Thanks. Can't wait to try this...
For now NVFlash is the only way.
Download, unzip, make sure your device is in NVFlash mode and you got the drivers installed, then run "Download - ics b2"

Lots of stuff are CM9 and its combined with lots of our stuff combined with our new ICS kernel.
I see i see. Did DELL help you with sources or everything build from you and cm?
Dell was no hope in this case. I spent a long time talking to them and my contacts and got no where.
This is purely our stuff with CM9 stuff.

Hello , As you can return ICS to HC?
Any tutorial & files? for Dell Steak 7 EU Only Wifi.
Thanks in Advanced
what platform is betelgeuse?
A quick search tells me it's a toshiba folio 100, which seems to be a 10.1" T2 tab released without HC preloaded. Incidentally it's also ODM'ed by pegatron (which is the same co that ODM'ed the S10)
Is it based off it until it's stable enough to cleanly be seperated into it's own proper branch?
As there's active work on the kernel, wonder if led controlls can be added back in

Its pretty stable and getting more so. The only way to find out is to give it a try
I've been using B3 over a couple hours now from B2 and its very stable! Big round of hands to you guys!!!

Dumb question but I noticed nvflash flashed recovery.img in the process. What recovery image is it? Will CWM5 work with B3 of ICS?
I'm likely going to port CWM5.5 to it as long as the partition layout remains the same, but first I have to get CWM5.5 compiling at all for the S7, something about it makes it not work.
It will be for a week or three though, as it's rather low priority as 1) 5.0 works on the stock layout, 2) ICS is still in beta anyway
Fine with me I can wait I'm having too much fun with ics to go back! Good work guys!

Ditto. The ICS close app menu thing is worth the flash alone!
only reason it says betelgeues as device is thats the market id its using as im using a heavily modded device tree based off that one otherwise its custom
great job guys
This is great news and will catapult the S7 past any current tablet as far as software implementation is concerned.
It is sad to see Dell not even trying to offer any technical support for their existing products.
It's great to see Steve back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously. The Dell Streak is an alright piece of kit. Stupid corporations.... Yay Steve and Giveen! Thanks for this! Been running B3 all night/morning. Runs like a champ, few force closes here and there, still a little rough around the edges, but overall still a fantastic ICS experience!
It is this ROM compatible with the Streak 7 Wi-Fi version?

Hi
I find this a little bit....humm... risky
You share a work, so there is no critics to do on this, but you have made it for a device you doesnt own.
In a normal case, each user take the risk on his own awareness, but here you have not tested at all what you are sharing.
I would recommend to wait..

Well, normally I would agree with you. In fact, I hoped to find someone who could test it on purpose, at least until I could buy a Nexus S for me and test it on my own.
Consider this thread as a development diary until I say it could be tried without risks.
I have tested on my i9020T and it does not boot. Just sits on the Google loading screen. I also tested it with the boot.img from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1350829
Drew Garen will be releasing a "Stable" version of ICS later today. Koush has yet to announce anything about his build. I'm waiting to see what people say about this one.

Any recomendation?
having used both CM9 and AOKP on my Galaxy 8.9. I have found they both have different strengths. I would say CM9 is a bit more stable (although both roms are very stable) but AOKP is much more customisable.
I didn't get on very well at all with any of the galaxian soup roms I tried. I had to many FCs for my liking
AOKP Build 35 is a solid rom.
I found CM9 had a better battery life.
But IMO AOKP is much more responsive and smooth
AOKP build 35. Read the latest feedback there and you'll see. I lost very little battery overnight. I made a post on that thread containing the fixed ROMs, you can't miss it.

What's wrong with rolling your own ROMs?
I build my own, and simply pull patches off CM and AOKP gerrit when they suit me.

B35 is newer than Milestone 5. Also yes, there are ones with just nothing an average user cannot do. I think I will just keep downloading AOKP from the site. I will skip Build 36 since it has nothing really new and/or important.

Hi,
I just go my Galaxy Tab 8.9 delivered, great little piece of kit. I am just wondering whether it is worth to update it with a custom ROM or wait until the official release of ICS which should be pretty soon.

Yes, totally worth it. ICS for this tab is taking its sweet ass time. You won't see it roll out for awhile no matter what you read.
Well, I've tried all that I can find. Gotta say, at least for me, The aokp b35 p5wifi with motleys v3+ kernal, nova launcher and Set CPU running a few custom profiles has been an epic experience for me. Truth be told, I do see browser lag, a cache and process clear resolves quickly.
Thankfully someone listed the fixed download and it worked perfectly.

have u tested them?
backing up rom now and ill try both with the unofficial cm10 and report back.
OK - tested the "V3" one so far, exactly the same as the "Unofficial CM10" kernel it seems, almost identical performance in benchmark - video recording not working, panorama glitchy but camera works fine - identical overclock settings and governors.
second one coming up now.
OK - second one doesnt boot. stuck on boot logo.
UPDATE - interesting, i switched the boot.img from the V3 kernel to the other one, and now it boots but wifi doesnt work.
ok got wifi working - gallery doesnt work with the second kernel, video and panorama same as other kernels. overclock and governors identical aswell.
overall - stick with the kernel youre on now.

As you're writing CM10.1 bugs: Is this a port or an AOKP source build?
The reason I ask is that I wanna check something for quite some time now on a build-from-source AOKP.
(adding the p990 to vendor_aokp and referencing the P990 device tree).
Based on the about phone screenshot I'd say it is, if it's not I'll do it myself, it's no biggie.
But if it really is - could you (or anyone) please flash kk 116, OC to 1.5GhZ, run an antutu benchmark two times and post a screenshot of the detailed scores?
I need to compare some results.
Edit: oh by square toggles you probably mean the quicktoggles.
That's interesting, I ran into similiar problems when porting over some features from AOKP.

(Tablet UI lol)
Overview
MIUI-v6 (It's called this in MiCode so I'm going with V6) ported to MSM8960.
Thing is it's awfully ****ed up looking due to it's tablet interface so this is going to take a little bit of work probably.
Working
-Torch
-Data (4G on boot <3 you guys)
-Mounting
-Recorder
-Music
Not working
- Launcher layout
- Dialer (Xiaomi didn't make it LOL)
- ???
WARNING
HEAVILY EXPERIMENTAL, will require a metric fkton of tweaks to become a daily driver most likely I am only posting this to show love and for observation purposes.
Download:
MIUI-v6: Alpha-0.01
PS: It's in tablet UI and prolly all ****ed up but herewegook
Will it be just for XT926 or unified - for all moto_msm8960 devices?

Thanks for showing your continous MIUI love - I am a true fan of this and if there is anything I can help with, that doesn't require C or Java coding skills, let me know..

Ok I uploaded this, It's pretty incomplete and exists ONLY for people who are curious; this cannot be used as a daily driver; a lot hasn't been translated and the UI is totally mangled because of resolution differences.
This is only for people who are curious about the general direction MIUI is going in, it will not be pleasant or beautiful; minds will not be blown using this firmware a lot of work has to happen still

I'm also working on V5 for 4.4 as well too but I'm going to make another topic for it; this is V6 officially even though it is rough looking
Nice!
But how did you ported that? Did you have a script or a tutorial for me to follow? Cause I want to try to port roms from the Galaxy S4 to this phone ( like the MIUI V5, I know you did a topic about but I still want to try ).

Yes, I'm currently resizing the entire UI though so maybe a few days I'll push a more complete build; the fact that this is here bodes well though because msm8960 is my phone I intend to use this for myself too

Any progress to report?
Basically I don't take money for developing because I do it for me, in the spirit of that I've decided to direct all my attention onto the only device I own since doing work for other devices really does not benefit me
I would like to do work on S5 TouchWiz, Sense 6. I want to work on interesting firmware that is challenging and this has almost become an art project at this point since at a code level everything mostly works. I have to admit I wasn't really prepared for that.
So pretty much if you folks have seen any firmware of interest let me know in PM and I will try to bring it to the MSM8960 tree
In regards to this I really can't give an ETA, I'd frankly rather just work on something else
Than you for the hard work anyway. You've been trying to get this stable as new versions approach for awhile now. I don't blame you for taking a breather... I must say I have to light you up with a donation for all the time and effort from previous versions... I got you.. Thanks again
