[Solved] WLAN disconnections every 1:02 min - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi community,
since i flashed the first rom one week ago, this bug always appears again.
Whats the problem exactly:
i can connect to my WLAN normaly
it stays as it should if i do nothing (no downloads or anything else)
when i do download or use the WLAN in any way (i also tryed ping) it reconnects every 1 minute and 2 seconds (i know this from the access log of my Router)
My flash history:
first stock and a update via kies. -> everything was perfect
DarkyRom v 10.2 RE via odin -> i cant remember if i had the bug already
DarkyRom v 10.2.2 via CWM -> bug
DarkyRom v 10.4 via CWM -> bug (multiple trys)
Stock Value Pack JVQ via Odin -> bug
Allways with a wipe before
What i did already:
Flashed multiple Modem files (i can't remember all, but one was ZSJPG)
In our house we have 3 Computers connected over WLAN, all of them work perfectly!
Factory resets...
Used Wifi Analyzer to see if my Band is croudet: no its not, i am living in a small village, there is no other Router in reach besides mine, and the strength gets never under -70 dB
Ping my Phone with my laptop (ping -c 300 #ip of the phone#).
Result: 4-6% Package loss
it also happens when i lay my phone directly besides the router
Being unhappy
What i will do:
Test it on other routers
My actual Firmware and so on:
Model:I9000
Firmware: Android 2.3.6
Modem: I9000XXJVU
Kernel: 2.6.35.7-I9000XXJVU-CL851880
[email protected] #2
Build: GINGERBREAD:XXJVU
Router: DSL-EasyBox 803 A
Tell me if i forgot information, the test on the other Router will be done es fast as possible
Thanks in advance and i hope anyone can help me with this strange bug

after i flashed nearly 20 stockroms today it finally works on darkyrom v10.2
I dont know the reason it just works
some additional information, for people it might help with their problems:
Model:I9000
Firmware: Android 2.3.4
Modem: I9000XXJVQ
Kernel: 2.6.35.7-I9000XXJVQ-CL281085
[email protected]_2.9.2_JVQ
Build: DarkyRom JVQ v10.2
I used the Resurrection Edition (RE) [for noobs: flashed with Odin]

well as you do, now you can move on to 2.3.6 FW jvu are some changes. You can try the semaphore kernel 2.5.0 and 0.7.1 rom @ oserx. good luck

Hello to everyone!

I used the option Settings -> Privacy -> Factory data reset, but no resolvation.

Any advices?
Advice: Put a new ROM. Solved.
Its because youre on JVS go on a different firmware (JVT and up) and if it still doesnt work then go to your router and in the settings set lease to two weeks

[Q] SGS: I9000 Poor Wifi 4.2.1

Hey I was hoping someone could help shed some light on my wifi signal issue or guide me on a method to fix it. I use my wifi from my bedroom and my modem is downstairs. As soon as I changed to the below setup I continually received frequent drop outs and latency issues using VoIP apps such as Viber. I am happy to downgrade firmware if I need to but am unsure to what level.
Anyway sorry for the long details but I would rather be thorough as I am pretty unsure when it comes to a lot of this, thanks in advance!
I was running a JVR 2.3 firmware and I had to update with CF-Root-XX_OXA_JVR-v4.1-CWM3RFS (TAR file) which I did using Odin 3 ver 1.3. It took about three attempts of getting the phone caution pc sign as it kept crashing but it eventually loaded and it was finally rooted. So I dragged galaxysmtd_aosp_jb42_20121209 and gapps-jb-20121212-signed to the root folder. Booted my phone in recovery mode and did a complete wipe and installed both of the above files using CMW.
It all boots up now now with the Cyanogen intro etc and the phone's details are GT-I9000 running Android 4.2.1, baseband version I9000XXJVT, kernel version [email protected] #33, build number full_galaxysmtd-userdebug 4.2.1 JOP40Deng.pawitp.20121209.120851 test-keys.
I did some research and made sure the box was unchecked so it would allow weak wifi connections.
I also downloaded an app called Devil Kernel Manager which has a misc option to change wifi connection from power saver mode to stronger however it doesnt appear to do anything and I get the error message:
>echo 1 > /sys/module/bcmdhd/parameteres/uiFastWifi &&echo 1> /data/local/devil/wifi
[sh: <stdin>[1]: can't create /sys/module/bcmdhd/parameteres/uiFastWifi: No such file or directory, 1]

[JB} Loosing network connection after some time

Hi,
I have a strange issue with my SGS Advance.
After some time I loose my network connection. I cannot call, sms or use my mobile data. I have to reboot my phone to get this working again (wifi continues to work). This usually happens around 1 or 2 times a day.
I don't get any message. My mobile data icons just disappears. I sometimes still see reception bars.
Currently I'm running the following:
Modem: I9070XXLPZ
Rom: JZ054K.I9070XXLPZ
Kernel: Thunderzap-Reloaded-3.5
But the problem didn't only occur with this setup. I had it with stock XXLPY (which I installed twice with full data wipes).
After that I installed XXLPZ with full data wipe. The problem still occured. The latest update was the change to the Thunderzap Kernel.
Any suggestions?
My suggestion is to flash a baseband appropriate to your region

Thanks for the tip.
According to the stock overview topic here the latest version for the Netherlands is I9070XXLD1.
Can I use the modem from this GB rom on my JB setup or will this conflict?

Hmm I just tried to flash the modem. I thought I succeeded, no errors in Odin.
But it still says I9070XXLPZ on my system info.

Loosing internet connection, maybe want to try new kernel?

I have a problem with my galaxy note.
Since I have installed a new rom and kernel I have problems with my internet connection
I loose my connection to the internet several times a day (Not on Wifi). When I restart the phone most of the times the connection is back.
On the statusbar I always see there is 3G or H internet but when I want to go to the internet, it is'nt working.
It don't says there isn't a connection but it just don't want to load websites / connect apps (it just stays loading and loading and loading)
ROM: ParanoidAndroid 2.57.6
Kernel: Kernel_CM10.1_Official_20130527_n7000_Exynos4
I want to try an other kernel to solve the problem. Can someone explain to me how I can change this save? The kernel that I would like to try is:
Asylum_CM10.2_Kernel_20130922_N7000
Is wipe cache and dalvik cache enough before doing a safe kernel flash?
Other idea's to solve the problem are welcome!
try a different modem

I just found [AOSPA 4.3] PARANOIDANDROID 3.99.RC2 (September 21) in the ORIGINAL android development threat.
What is the differents from the 2.57.6 version in the android development threat (Don't mean the changelog)? It's more recent but I mean is this a different ROM or the same ROM but more recent?
as mentioned in the title.. its Android 4.3

S3 i9305 - problematic wifi.

Hello guys,
I just want to share this problem with my S3 LTE i9305, this unit came from singapore (singtel), and im now using it in Cebu, Philippines. However i am having too much trouble with its wifi always getting Authentication errors (when i was still in stock firmware).
I should say i can rule out that my wifi hardware is defective, because I was using the wifi yesterday whole night in our house. downloading stuffs from play store, browsing, facebook and etc.
This is what i already did:
1. downloaded a Hongkong firmware (official samsung stock firmware) flashed with odin with no problem. hoping that the wifi issue is just a corrupt base firmware.
- still wifi is problmatic
2. Im on Cyanogenmod 10.1 4.2.2 Jellybean
- all functions are okay except for the wifi
WIFI SETUP:
keep wi-fi on during sleep: always
wi-fi frequency band: auto
wi-fi region code: usa
wifi optimiation: unchecked
It can seem to detect new wifi with strong signals but whenever you connect to it the signal 'literally' drops to one bar, and stop doing the connection.
the problem is intermittent, meaning:
sometimes it works, sometimes its not - and there is no definite time when it works and when not.
here are the details of my current device:
Baseband version: I9305ZHBMI2
Kernel Version: 3.0.64-CM-g9c2e2b; [email protected] #1; mon sep 23 15:03:19 pdt
Cyanogenmod version: 10.1.3-i9305
Build Number: cm_i9305-userdebug 4.2.2 JDQ39E; eng.jenkins.20130923.145024 test-keys

hello! sorry about early bumping.
with wiping phone flash stock rom <<-- how do i do this? and not corrupting any vital stuff inside my phone. I heard that EFS is a very important.
update:
if you're talking about these:
1.wipe data/factory reset
2. wipe cache
3. wipe dalvic cache
i did those stuff 10x already...
PROBLEM is INTERMITTENT: sometime it will connect just fine, sometimes not. << how am I going to work around this problem?
is there any way to low level diagnose the wifi system?
could it just be the hardware? - if hardware then there shouldn't be times that it can connect fine
could it be the software? - where to start?
How i wish someone can help me fix all these intermittent problems I am encountering with the wifi.
EFS etc its all in the Faqs and Guides .

Hi, i have been reading those giudes, and i havent encountered any special method of wiping as what you say... I have used odin to flash like 5x already, got into cwm wipe data, wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache...
I already have a backup of my efs in .img format, using terminal.
Can you walk me through?
Wipe phone flash stock rom and test .
I believe flashing via odin using stock samsung rom will wipe the flash. Is that correct? Or do you mean to say format the flash chip first before flashing with odin?... Im not quite sure how to do that.
Right now im using my celfone posting this message. Its just that this fone doesnt connect to other access points where the rest of wifi devices connects fine.
if you are referring to this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1911726
i have done this many times already.
Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk
I have tried alot of different ROMS already and the problem persists.
Could this be hardware related?
are there people whos got similar issue?
It can connect to wifi right away if you're 2 meters line of sight of the router/access point.

Yes it could be.My phone had intermittent wfi and data.Turns out it was an "RF loopback timeout" problem.Needed fixing at service centre.HTH.
