Ive just flashed juwe's 5.0 and now there is no baseband version meaning i cant make or recieve calls or anything like that. What do i do?
You've flashed correctly and done all the steps described in the flashing manual? If you had Froyo before: did you flash a Gingerbread-firmware including bootloader?

I was on gingerbread jvp so I assumed I already had the gingerbread bootloaders, correct?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Well, if you update from Froyo to Ginger via Odin you have to flash a Ginger-vresion including the bootloaders (here on XDA there are mostyl versions WITH and version WITHOUT bootloader available, and you need one WITH bl.).
You could try to flash a modem seperatly with Odin, but normally everything should work with Juwe's 5.0.
But i wasnt on froyo, i was on gingerbread so i must of already had gingerbread bootloaders? Anyway if i didnt have the bootloaders why did it still boot me into juwe 5.0?
Hm, ok. Were you able to make calls with your previous Ginger-ROM?
If I was you I'd flash stock-Ginger again and - if the telephone-function works - flash Juwe's 5.0.
Yes I was able to make calls.

Not correct, there are seperatly modems for CM7 for example. But for Samsung-based ROMs you are right.

Are you talking about OTA? If yes, then I think u should be on stock kernel..if I am not wrong, it is the same with Kies as well (not 100% sure about this) ..

first download and official firmware of both gingerbread and ics of your region.
using pc odin flash GB rom over the custom rom your using currently.
then do a full wipe/data/factory rset/cache/dalvik cache.
(this you have to do only on stock gingerbread rom)
then follow same process and flash ics rom.
and here dont wipe anything.
then use yr phone OTA checker and get the latest jellybean.

I recently was trying to flash an ICS ROM, I downloaded the only ICS ROM available on rootandroid(dot)com, now in the settings/about phone/ model. It says. GT-I9229
Then.... There are any problems in using this ROM?
Sent from my GT-I9220 using xda premium
It's the same spec phone, i9220 was the original model name before they changed it to n7000.
There are some excellent ics Roms in this forum also which may be more suitable.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
Download build.prop editor from market and rename the model from I9220 to N7000
Cheers

i think it should be fine to use the ROM , if you want, you can install ROM toolbox lite and edit Build.Prop
dont ever go to that site again, they promote rooting with cwm. zip that can hardbrick your device
