What does the white text say?
Does it say something like this
HW Model = FB0
HW Version = PR232
SW Version = FB0-2310
If so then you have pressed the wrong buttons and got it into a special mode.
look at this post
http://androidforums.com/huawei-ascend-x-4g/387262-ascend-x-wont-boot-after-reset.html
i know how to get into download mode it just wont do it anymore the text doesnt even show up anymore
Ok now im stuck in some sort of boot loop that goes from off to download mode to a blue screen, but it only happens when i plug the phone in to a power source, but i dont even have to push a button i just plug it in and it starts going through the cycle that i stated above.
reading ur problem i jst figured out u had half bricked ur phone already now do one thing
put ur battery out and first charge it completly with external charger i dont know what u may call it bt its a charger that had pins on top and u jst add up ur battery's points on it and plug it into a power source
now let it charge for a while 1 or a half hour i think
then took ur phone dont plug in battery and connect charger and see if it still says battery is charging when there is no battery inside
if it says something like this gr8 u can have your phone replaced like i did jst got 2 bricks of mi-410 replaced from service center
tell them this story
i was sleeping in the night and in the morning when i woke up battery was drained so i connected charger from then its behaving like this only .... and dont say u charged battery jst give it to them
nd wait for answer
i m sure service attendents are not at all so intrested in knowing what happend they jst take it for replacement and would give you time period when it will be back
thats the only option left now
and i assume that u have ur phone in warrenty no worries about what u ported or what not give it to them if its not running hell they too couldn't know what's inside with software
I dunno if this will help, but I managed to brick myself thrice, but was saved as I had a backup of the original phone .img files. I suggest you search on forums for these files or publish Ur email id so I can forward to U. I cannot upload them as the zip file is 30mb+.
Here is my saved stock image folder uploaded to Dropbox.

Just cool down...........
1. Charge your battery externally ...... as it will not though your phone .....
2. PUT in your phone
3. Put it in download mode
4. flash with .nbo (sharp or any one) by SUT
because your battery drained you are failing to get it repair ....
hope this will work.....

Those were the stock image files however sorry somehow the boot.img is not there. I don't have the stock on my phone right now. maybe someone else can post it.
Hi all I think I messed up the same way, can anyone please post stock image files, the link above no longer works. Please and thank you for any help.
Nevermind I have resolved
Ok so I know how to get in and out of this strange mode.
In stock rom recovery menu. Press up down keys and the hit menu softkey. This will cause a reboot. To get out of this In stock Rom Recovery menu. Press up/down keys and menu softkey. The phone will reboot. It seems that this mode should be useful for some function of the phone. I will investigate further.
FTM over android drivers are installed. What ever that means.
Field Test Mode May or not be useful for devs.
Hi everyone!
I ve got the same problem. I may somehow deleted all the sstem files and now I can't get anything excep blue screen while booting my phone.
So what I have:
1. Blue screen while I am trying to boot the phone.
2. Blue screen while I am tryine to enter the CWM.
3. Works only Power+volume up root mode.
Tried to use SUT to upload official rom but SUT can't see phone though all phone drivers are installed.
Will be grateful for any information.
UPDATE: Problem has been solved by changin USB-ports - when changed port - SUT identified my phone.Kinda strange)

Hey All,
So I'm in the process of helping a friend with his Galaxy Ace from Koodo. As it turns out the phone looks like it's semi-bricked but we may be mistaken all together so here goes:
My buddy tried using SuperOneClick to root his device however half way through the process, it froze and when he restarted his device, it hangs at the Samsung logo during the startup boot sequence.
1. When using a combination of UP Arrow + Home button + Power, he receives a message stating:
"RAMDUMP Mode
(ARM9 mode)"
In this mode he cannot do very much however his PC does recognize the device. Odin does not work in this mode.
2. When using a combination of DOWN arrow + Home button + Power, he received 2 different screens. The first is a bright pink colored screen that states:
"Warning!
A custom OS can cause critical problem in phone and installed applications. If you want to download a custom OS, press Volume UP key. Otherwise, press Volume DOWN key to cancel."
Pressing the down arrow brings him back to the frozen Samsung logo on startup however when pressing the UP arrow, the phone goes into "Downloading..." mode. In this mode, Odin DOES work.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now for the troubleshooting we've done. We managed to find a few articles online that asked us to use the Odin tool. We downloaded a few different sets of the files needs (Cooper.ops, CODE, MODEM, CSC & BOOT). Odin then detects the phone in 'Downloading..." mode and proceeds to installing the rom. It completes successfully however it does not reboot. The screen simply flashes with the Samsung logo again.
The original firmware build before the device stopped working ended with TLKI4.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Can anyone suggest anything else we can try?
2. Do you know if the bootloader needs to be flashed first and if so, how?
Note: We can not take the device back to Koodo as it was purchased on Kijiji and no receipt was provided. It's the GT-S5830D.
Thanks in advance,
1- boot into recovery and try to wipe data and cache. u can enter recovery mode by pressing home+power.
2- it doesnt matter, u already flashed new bootloader by flashing the phone via odin.
btw does the "D" in "GT-S5830D" bring any different in hardware with international regular GT-S5830 that most of us here use?
if its different by somehow, u shouldnt flash generic international GT-S5830 rom into it. i know for sure that galaxy ace korean version cannot use generic rom from international galaxy ace.
yep there are some 5830D specific roms on sammobile.. try them instead of generic ace

Can you point me to a certain rom/boot loader to download from sammobile? I was there earlier this morning however I didn't see any mention of Canada anywhere and I left before I messed things up further.
Even if you could just tell me which one it is I have to download, I'll do the rest myself.
Thanks a bunch!

There is no option to wipe the device. In fact, I have had other Galaxy S models and I'm pretty familiar with the screen however the Ace does not load into that recovery. Either it goes to "Downloading.." or "RAMDUMP (Arm9 mode)".
Thanks
well seems like sammobile haven't got for 5830L
but not to worry alternative site has one specifically rare rom of "D"

Thanks buddy! I tried that exact ROM however it didn't seem to work either. I used the 'Coopers_V1.0.ops" file under the "OPS" option in Odin and the "S5830DTLKI4_S5830DTLSKI4_S5830DTLKI4_HOME.tar.md5" file under the "One Package" option. Like I said before, the flash went through in "Downloading..." mode, and Odin said "PASS" however, when it came time for the phone to reboot itself, the screen started flashing and did nothing new. Same Samsung logo appears and it seems to hang right there.
Also I dont think the device has a same recovery menu anymore because even though I hold down the Home + Power buttons, it does nothing. It simply flases the screen at the Samsung logo screen.
Any other tips for me to try? Thanks again!
wierd that u cannot enter recovery mode while u can enter download mode and successfully flash it using odin.
even if u messed up recovery when u first use superoneclick earlier, flashing via odin should also flash it with new fresh recovery. so how long did u hold the home+power? i'm asking just to be sure. maybe u not hold it long enough for recovery mode to kick in.

I held it down for more than a minute just to make sure. As soon as I put the battery back in and try and restart the phone, it goes into an infinite loop at the Samsung screen.
Even I find it odd that the phone will go into Downloading mode but not recovery.
Any other suggestions?
try to install qtadb (google for it). connect the phone with pc via usb, launch qtadb and boot the phone. qtadb should display some logcat. paste the logcat output here. maybe we might have a clue whats wrong by looking into the logcat
but even if phone still stuck, just wait a few moment. if qtadb had access to the phone system via its native filemanger, it means u can use adb. use adb to reboot phone into recovery

As far as I can tell QtADB isn't even detecting the phone. I have tried to complete the procedure over and over however no show. I may not have installed ADB correctly though so I'll give it a shot again a little later.
Thanks!

Hi
I think* i was trying to do a back up or custom recovery just before it went pear shaped, phone froze and i took the battery out and then ->
The phone doesn't get past boot image ( custom boot image of terminators from the movie ).
I have tried factory reset , trying different roms on sd card and then booting into recovery - but i only had the default recovery on the phone.
I have a kdz file image and a few dz files as well as zip but they don't 'work' , even if i rename them 'update'
The lg support tool gets to a point where it says ' super duper bad , your fxxxxd or fatal error or something so it wont even start a fix or update.
'Unkdzing' only gives me a dz file and .dll
I tried uptestEX ,dzextract, lgflashmuncher, expand, lgextract and extractor kdz - but on that it stops with some WMD warning - in spanish i think.
This is the 5th day ive tried to fix the prob but i fail.
After I un screw the phone can it be flashed/shocked with electricity on the part that holds the info ? ( thought id ask before going ahead and doing it anyways )
The phone is rooted
try this

Hi
Yeah I tried those and those led me to other links of people trying other methods but none of them worked out.
Basically I think I need to shelf the phone until there's a boot loader - that should fix most/all problems shouldn't it ?
I like the phone so I'll order another one same colour same place same bat channel :good:

yeah i agree as its exactly the same as happened to my phone, i had installed busybox 1.20 and didnt reboot then a while later the phone froze and when i rebooted it stuck at boot logo
I was doing a few things with the phone so yeah, you're probably right.
So is there a fix ?

I tried and it didn't work
What should the screen look like when its plugged in and turned on ? , I did the vol + power key and its statiky* and sometimes vibrates. So i tried vol - and power, vol + and home and power, vol - and home and power but total commander still didn't see the phone connected to it.
I extracted adb to total commander and i click on it when total commander is open then I have to click connect to device then a box pops up and i input COM4 ( matched it up with device manager ) but nothing happens.
The only 'normal' screen is when it is in sw update mode, other than that its either grey or pink or white and vibrates at times with all sometimes.
Ok I tried vol + and power with the battery in and when i click on adb the device ID is shown but when i click on that, its totally empty.. no folders or files , completely blank.
Also next to the network 3 pc image it still says [none]
When i try to copy the new busybox to the device id it says 'please remove the write protection'.. so I right click the busybox file and click unblock but same message again
It has full permissions.
you need to keep hold of the keys until it starts up.it will vibrate and screen will go blank about 2 times before it boots into the correct mode, sorry i didnt think of writing that into my other post

yeah it takes like 5 seconds for it to reboot and then the 'notice' screen appears, but still it says ' please remove the write protection '
Also noticed on my pc under device manager that android adapter has yellow triangle.
I went to LG site and got the driver but it didn't install, even found generic driver but it didn't install, also let windows find one but it didn't install, also tried manually but android driver just wont install.
My understanding is without that android driver total command won't work.
hi sorry to hear your still having problems, all i can suggest is uninstall the drivers and reinstall without the device connected, also are you leaving it til it comes to the screen has a window with a phone and and cables with a red hand covering them,
the driver that you really need it too load is the called Android Sooner single ADB Interface, as far as im aware that when booting into this mode it doesnt load your currently corrupted system files maybe after you retry installing it should hopefully work also if you havent already installed the lg support tool then it would be easier for you to install that and install the drivers that way, they can be found through the following link
http://www.lg.com/uk/support/mobile-support
il have a good think and look at what could be the problem if you are still having problems
yeah I have that driver and two others, nothing is working unfortunately
yes I know i F*** up and flash the freedom flex recovery with kitkat, now im bricked and just boots to LG LOGO, computer gives me unknown usb device after i leave it plugged for about a min then gives me that error. won't go into recovery or download mode but will go into some koren page with bar code and imei number..
I looked and looked for 9 hours with no luck :crying: is there any kind of fix for it? I even tried a usb jig with no luck. and plus i cant find a online shop that with jtag my lg g flex d959. im pulling my hair i just want mt flex back and working
update, I finally got it to work back to normal after bricking it with freedom flex app.
1. You will need an OTG cable.download Dfuse stock kitkat.zip and place it on your flash drive or sd card ( what a life saver). here's a link to his rom I hope its ok with D-fuse?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2747098
2. boot into recovery
press and hold volume up & power button, until the lg logo appears wait 2 sec, release the volume button only. if successfully done correctly you get a black screen with a image of a wrench and hammer and korean letters. it will boot in twrp or cwm which ever you have in stalled with freedom flex.
3. factory wipe it through the recovery
4. install Dfuse kitkat.zip you downloaded on to you sdcard.
5. reboot and enjoy you unbricked LG G FLEX

yea this sucks real big ones lol. does yours also say unknow usd device also?
trying to keep from crying
yes having the same problem with the USB, I did contact freedom flex to see how bad this is, also for about two days of reading and downloading server files I am ready if the USB connect, now the phone is in a coma and we will bring it back to life trying to keep from crying. I'm also going to call a tech and find out how bad it is, i will let you know.
Can you get into download mode
ok I can get it to download mode but still get unknown usb device. and also i can get it to twrp recovery but in my computer device manager it gives me and yellow (!) and says LG-G-Flex and wont install any drivers
att d950
I can get into download mode and it shows the computer and phone with blue dots nothing moving, when i connect to computer the usb does not work, I installed with freedom flex twrp, i was able to do a backup of the phone and efs backup. The phone now is stuck with lg screen and if you hit the power and down button you may get Korean lang with your imei with bar code at the bottom
att D950
in order to do the sd card how were you able to connect usb not recognized ?
You wont be able to get the full download mode. Also it wont recognize at with the computer. Only way of doing it, boot it in recovery and plug OTG cable <~~( forgot to put that) with a flash drive or sd card and install dfuse stock kitkat zip and you be up in running
If you can get into download mode try fastbooting Dfuse's 4.2.2 "D95910c" stock ROM. You may have to use
fastboot update (click and drag the D95910c file here with out the ( ) ). Or fast boot the f340 aboot or boot.img and freedom flex's cwm.img then unplug power off try booting to recovery but remember you only have one shot once you get there. From CWM you'll need to adb sideload Dfuse's D95910c.zip to your SD if its not already on there. Then flash it in CWM recovery.

I have tried about the flash back to stock via offline .kdz method and its only worked for me once. Its such a janky jacked up lucky if it works method , but I've used this twice with absolutely no problem at . just make sure you have internet connection on your PC. And I don't think you have to get into download mode if you change the setting to "Emergency". Just follow forum instructions and uninstall any of the original offline .kdz method stuff and LG drivers if you have ever tried it. And reinstall the LG drivers with OUT your phone plugged in.
Then follow that forum. Like I said its worked for me both times I've used it. Only issue in had was the old offline method software was installed and not allowing the new flash tool to act right. But once I uninstalled and started with a clean slate ....I was Golden.
Good luck

Yeah kintwofan posted ya a link. Put download it and make sure it's a good download. Either in twerp go to advanced/sideload. And adb sideload the zip file to your sd or put the zip file on a thumb drive and use a female usb to male micro usb cord as an adapter to plug the thumb/flash drive into your phone. Then in TWRP go to "mount" and scroll down the list and check the box next to "usb-org" then back out and go flash Dfuse's 4.2.2 jelly bean Rom. And don't forget to factory reset after the 4.2.2 Rom finishes and before you reboot. Or you'll boot loop.
Then If your smart go ahead and put a flashable supers.zip file on sd or flash drive and flash that after flashing 4.2.2 and factory reset have finished. Then reboot system. Should be good to go. You'll be rooted already and you can go to play market and get the freedom flex apk and put ya a custom recovery , make a back up, and for heaven sakes stay on 4.2.2 till they get the kernel for 4.4 worked out. Lmao
As the title says the phone has not been rooted and has bricked itself. It can get to the download screen but that's about it. Odin doesn't recognize it and not sure how to flash the stock rom back on it to get it back up and running. Anyone run into this issue before.? See image for what shows up on the screen. Thanks.
update: was able to hav odin recognize the phone. I've tried this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2703006 with both the .pit and without plus the 4 files with no luck. still just restarts to same screen.

Somethings not right. If you flash the pit file make sure you flash all 4 files. I dont see a reason why it shouldnt work. If it still has that after you flash boot into recovery and factory reset. It should work. Its easy to soft brick than to hard brick. As long as you can get into download mode you should be fine.

As the title says the phone has not been rooted and has bricked itself. It can get to the download screen but that's about it. Odin doesn't recognize it and not sure how to flash the stock rom back on it to get it back up and running. Anyone run into this issue before.? See image for what shows up on the screen. Thanks.

I dont know then. Only thing i would suggest is make sure you have downloaded the latest samsung drivers. Last time i couldnt get it to recognize i downloaded the latest samsung mobile drivers and tried every usb port. I also gave it a break for about 10 or 15 minutes with the phone off and it worked too. Dont know why but it did. Hope that helps. Cheers mate

It goes straight to download screen or before this you got option to press volume up or down? Did you try to get to recovery mode by pressing combination of volume up , home button and power button then let all go when samsung logo show up with little blue writing on left top of phone. If you get to recovery try to clean cache. If you can't and after you try to flash back to stock still going straight to download mode must be hardware issue.
Why do the newer users call anything that doesn't boot properly "Bricked ?"
Believe me you'll know when and if your ever able to successfully achieve it....
Your not even rooted..lmfao
ok guys, so here's the story... it happen yesterday, as anyday i woke at the sound of my alarm(bodies-drowning pool)... now i wanna listen to the song while I write this; well, anyways... everything was fiiiiiiiiiiiiine, phone looked as good as always, got ready to school, then at chemistry class when i wanted to check the time... phones dead, first thought, battery dead right?... nope! a friend of mine got another golden , and nein... still not working with her battery, tried mine in her phone... it worked great; also forgot to say that it did not enter to recovery neither download mode, not even vibrates when the power button was pressed... so i think did my teacher bored 2 dead my phone?... ok ok, jokes apart... the problem is, after I discharge the phone reactive elements, it finally give me a glimpse of hope, it started, samsung letters with model number-breath away... waiting still-and again the ****ing letters, yeah it got into a bootloop, turns out is not the common ones... tried everything i can found on internet (first pages of google, search on xda... list goes on) nothing works... tried:
Using Odin(only download mode works)
flashing couple of bootloaders
flashing param+wipe
flashing param+wipe+stock rom
PD: if i try to enter to recovery mode, it shows TWRP image before the menu comes up, then goes to bootloop again.
PD2: Also when i hit power it shows the samsung letters with the return and menu blinking about 4-5 times, everytime I try to start the phone, then it goes to bootloop again... and so until it drains the battery.
PD3: Almost forgot, when i try to flash the stock rom, i get "movi_write card_status 2" and blk goes as far as 682k if it matters.
Willing to try anything all in the name of science of course ... if nothing happes im gonna tear it appart and salvaje everything my new rover may need a couple of thingies later on...
Little help will be appreciated
You can try conecting another USB cable on the back USB ports of the PC, also try to flash with an authentic stock firmware, you can get your exact phone firmware from Sammobile.com
Found a solution?

Have you tried flashing a fresh and perhaps newer version of TWRP?
What were the results of your attempts to flash the above? I understand that you still can't get it to boot to device or recovery modes, but does Odin report success?
Have you tried using fastboot to boot it into recovery mode? (You'll probably get the same TWRP bootloop, but worth a crack.)

...and have you tried re-rooting the phone using one of the one-touch applications (e.g. Kingoroot)? I don't know what state they need the phone to be in to work, but it might help in getting a usable ROM onto the phone if it works.
Disclaimer: I'm no expert - still haven't managed to get a working custom onto mine yet.
