Hey guys i want to change stock icons of emanonv4 to ics like icons can any one tell how can i do that?

i know abt this thing actually i saw creeds rom which is for galaxy fit it have beautiful icons i want some thing like that... i took its launcher and its working very well on emanon rom now i want icons for that too....

You have to cook in uot kitchen there you can make this things by your own its easy to do! uot.dakra.lt

Can u explain it more coz in uot kitchen there is no option for putting custom icons of apps.

yeah its good but the fonts look very small in this launcher i want big font look too/..

use apk manager and de-compiler your app. change the icons.( for Calculator and app don't forgot to set compress apk level on 0 for work app other apps can compress on 3 level recomended) can this way for odex and deodex rom.(and stock rom! i do it!)
use root explorer. replace your new app with old and set true permisions then restart. (don't signe your system apps)
easy way use launcher with more themes like GO and ADW.

I just installed Crazy Home Lite..Gives you 3 Desktop with 3different Theme (Up to you) work alongside with ADW Theme..And on each desktop it has 5 screens..
Anyway still looking for nice widgets such as those on HTC sense..?If anyone got any clue how to get those let me know..

Make sure everything is green in summary..And upload the two files SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk..
Download when its cooked..and install via CWM..
Always do a backup of your rom..

Following this method - does it add on to your ROM or does it install a fresh ROM with the theme in it?
I just tried Launcher7 - it adds a windows phone 7 home screen and app launcher (kind of nice for now)
Really don't like the dialer in GBX v10

deodexing is getting rid of the ".odex" files u can find in /system/app and system/framework.
u can check them through a file manager which grants root access like root explorer.
for deodexing, u can follow this tutorial of mine:

If you are talking about CM7, you have an awesome ICS theme in xda called "ICS CM7 v1.6" or something like that. I guess that if achyut is using NOVA, it will be hard making a CM7 theme. Besides, it's a lot of work what has been done for the ICS I told you.

First of all, I think you "should" have themed my notification bar toggles because they don't look like the rest of theme at all.
Secondly, as far as I know the theme should be able to be flashed in odexed ROMs too! You can put deodexed files in odexed ROM. Actually, many ROMs are odexed except the apk's that are for theming.
So I don't think this can't be flashed in odexed ROM, unless you have a concrete reason.

yes, ICS 1.6 by sonnysekhon is awesome!!!!...i used it along with leaked ICS music, ICS themed swype, the ICS ring lock mod and a few other ICS widgets i don't remember

firstly,i'd thank u fr commenting on my theme ....this is my first theme and it is always good to hear form a pro ...the fact that i did not change your toggles is because I PERSONALLY love the WP7 look....
and of the deodexed flashing, i tried flashing it on odexed NOVA and bricked my phone 2/3 times....so, thought it might be better of to apply this to the deodexed ROM because my deodexed NOVA got themed at one go.

That's strange I will take a look to your files to see if something is clearly doing that in odexed Roms. But if it bricked yours, it's good you warned of it.

I'd like to try an ICS theme too for Nova rom, but first of all I'd like to understand why I cannot install themes using terminal, su, nova, theme chooser...
If I choose one of the theme it says "You need internet access" but in fact I'm connected.
I really don't like the default wp7 theme of the Nova v.8 and I was trying to change it with the gingerbread theme...
Anyone have same issue?

Please flash Gingerbread theme (or whichever you want) manually from recovery (.zip to sd, go to recovery->flash from sdcard, flash it. No wipes or anything)
Nova theme chooser seems to stopeed working some time ago. Many people reported the same problem. Don't rely on theme chooser anymore.
PS: Sorry for the offtopic Achyut. Just answering his problem.

Theme maybe working in odexed too
Here is a version of the theme that could work in odexed NOVA too.
There is a step between NOVA versions below v3 and above v3-4 Most probably Achyut made this theme with a greater version than v3, so this probably won't work in below versions of NOVA.

please apply this only on the DEODEXED v20n ROM.i have only tested it on deodexed v20N ROM.
for being late, am giving two more themes with the one shown.apply and switch between them to see the one suits you.

Edit. For the second EXTENSIVE THEME_v20N.zip go to brick my phone...
dunno...mine works just fine!!!!...have u tried 2 remove & insert the battery??..try it once and see.

i have actually deodexed the actual ROM myself using the kitchen. i actually always do so . i cannot say whether u need full deodexed ROM or not.
On P970_GB_234_V20N_lite the 20N_theme_animated batt_bootanim works... the others don't know but I will try

theme chooser is CM exclusive as the framework and the systemUI are linked together. and u can try it yourself. go here and experiment: http://uot.dakra.lt/kitchen/

sgs2 ldpi mod theme for milocker

hello people....i'm new to android modding..but this theme works fine this is an ldpi mod of the sgs2 lockscreen from milocker that i did..you can unlock by sweeping from any side and you get unread msgs and missed calls on the lockscreen as shown..enjoy!

hello again....these are two more lockscreens for milocker...in these versions only the glass is swept and not the wallpaper behind...one has a lighter glass and the other a darker one...and of course unread msgs and missed calls are displayed...

I havnt port that. its from samsung stock rom, flash this S5570XWKTH and u ill get new lockscreen and new call interference for ur phone.....

download that and extract it..the cmd can extract mtz files from the sd card..or you can place the theme to be modded in the 'orig_mtz' folder...then after unpacking it, go to lockscreen,advance..there you have the manifest xml file...edit it to suit the screen size and if you play around a bit you'll know how to use different unlockers and you can make battery percentage, missed calls,msgs etc appear...oh yeah and dont forget to resize the png files too!!have fun!! and you can get an idea by unpacking mtz files to read the manifest.xml and see how the theme is written!!
repack and you can push it to sdcard,...and yep thats a new theme right there

No in emanon v5 there is different firmware... and it have have 9 locksceeen mod... so u cant except this lockscreen in v5... hope for v6...
people if you want the new swipe screen stock lockscreen on a custom rom download and flash the latest MORe rom by godell.it is awesome....

check the first page of this thread man a little down the page...ive posted two variations of the theme both without the 'just sweep the screen!' message, and with actual glass sweeping instead of the wallpaper moving......and as for porting the lockscreen to any rom im on the same boat as you...still searching.if i get to know, i'll certainly let you know...cheers!!!

I want to know How to change the apps/menu icon launcher (without installing a new/external launcher - I like my stock rom launcher )
I searched the forum/web and I cant find any ware an explanation on how to do this or if its possible.
my phone is rooted and my rom is 20B if its helps.
I've attached a pic to explain what I want to change.......
by the way, its my first post here but I'm a long time user so.....

u mean change only icons ? if thats the case , then u need a theme manager to change the theme. some themes change only icons, some change everything. but the icon set is inside a theme. themes support specific launchers. so its possible that ur favorite launcher doesnt support ur favorite theme ( for the icons ). the other way around is to use a root explorer and change every little icon manually inside apks.

well... I want to change only the app launcher button icon (u can c in the pic that I attached) and I don't want to change the original rom launcher.
so I guess ill need to do it in the other way that you mentioned.

if u know what u are looking for then u can find it. the app launcher is not what u are looking for. its called App Drawer. so u are looking for android App Drawer icon.

but I cant find the app drawer in our phone.
that thread that you provided belong 2 Samsung phones so maybe in our phone (lg 4x hd) its located some ware else ( just an assumption...)
we don't have system/app/secLauncher2.apk.
looked around system/app and I couldn't find the app drawer so...
if anyone can point me 2 the right direction it would be great.......

yea its in there.... and ofc there is no seclauncher2.apk. we dont all have same launcher. ur app drawer icon is inside your launcher apk just like mine is !

yea its in there.... and ofc there is no seclauncher2.apk. we dont all have same launcher. ur app drawer icon is inside your launcher apk just like mine is !

the stock one is LGHome3.apk.
since u use an alternative launcher look for it in data/app. apps u install go there. in system/app are the system apps that have root access.
well I found it as u said, it's LGHome3.apk.
used ninjamorfh, exchanged the icons, finished my project and wooow: I soft brick my phone
the launcher disappeared and after reset it was stuck in the logo.
so after about 4-5 nervous hours of pushing apk thru adb, recovery, software reset, wiping it all , download rom, flash stock rom with kdz,
restore my 120 apps, restoring backup files, I was able to bring my 4x back to life as it was before.
so conclusion :
some things don't worth to **** with :laugh: LOL
if u want to change ur app drawer icon don't be hard headed like me, create a theme or install a launcher that can do it.

wow did all that happen from just an icon ? how did u do it ? did u deompile the apk and recompile it ?

i guess there is a reason why there is no app that can change manually the app drawer icon, It could get messy.
I used ninjamorph app (root app), it should decompile/recompile the apk automatically.

if it is only for icon , u can just treat the apk as if it was a zip. just open it with the zip manager and force the icon to replace the one u want.
