Hi, since i've unlocked the bootloader and installed a custom kernel, whenever my phone is overclocked above 691 mhz, it shows a red light and freezes and then restarts, im using nAa 08b kernel. I remember when i only had stock rom, i managed to get 748 mhz if im not mistaken. These days, it is a bit unstable, and it freezes once in a while even at 710 sometimes. Also sometimes the led goes pink or violet too, has a black screen and then restarts. I hope i can solve this. Thanks :]
ps. i also installed gingerxperia ray and it still has this prob ;/

No, I mean phone screen, for example I play games and the screen image moves to the side. When I reboot my phone, it disappears, but can go back. I'll post screenshots when it will be again.

Yes, I did it.
But after it i did Full wipe.
If you overclock lower the clock speed ... this is known weirdness that overclocking could make the screen to jump right (or even down/right).

I have min. 122 max 600 - 748
Until I flashed kernel everything worked fine.
Like I said, I saw this happening on nAa and Alfs when the overclock was "too high" (take "too high" with a fine grain of salt ... so far no one who ever had the bug worked out if it realibly happens above a certain clock frequency, and at which clock frequency it can be reproduced). The screen was then either displaced to the right or even down/right.
Lowering the clock speed solved the problem (read: it shouldn't happen at 600MHz default - but can happen at any higher clock speed (feel free to work out the threshold frequency)).
The screen displacement in CWM is rare, but it happens even at clock speeds.
Hi. I just started having this problem, this time, it moves down and right usually. sometimes both. I haven't changed anything recently. I just started. Restarting does not work for me, after a while it comes back. I'm running ALFs v08 with firedroid v1.1
Is there a solution? Lowering my clock speed does not work.
PS: The phone lags alot every time this happens.
Thanks in adv.
Use smartassv2 when overclocking and it will not be any "moving screen"

Hi guys,
I've tried searching about the problem I have but I don't even know how to search it. I've rooted and installed custom rom on my Galaxy Note tonight, but have a rather serious problem. When I try to turn the screen on after the screen turns off automatically, I don't get the unlock screen but instead get black screen with speckles/pixels starting to appear. If I leave it like that, the screen is eventually filled with these speckles and becomes very bright. I have to turn off the screen with power button and back on several times before the unlock screen would appear.
Does anyone know what is causing this problem and how it can be fixed?
I've tried both Rocket ROM v22 and CheckRom and it happens in both.
Please help! It's driving me crazy!
maybe try another kernel.
i had same problem before, and only abbys 4.2 kernel help me! so flash abbys kernel!

I guess you are using franco kernel it is working out beautifully for some and for some it is generating pixel salad issue (ya thats the term given to ur issue)
Flash a different kernel try abyss kernel its the second best than franco!!
If you are not on franco kernel then read last couple of pages from franco kernel thread many are plagued with the same issue.
If it helps press thanks.!!
SHOT from my LOADED GT-N7000!!
Thanks guys.
I tried flashing AbyssNote 4.2 and that seems to have fixed it.
Shame franco kernel doesn't work for me.

I have this problem too!

I suggest you bring it to Sony While your warranty lasts...
Try flashing the .254 JB 4.1 FW before flashing any Stock Based Custom ROMs

My phone is c5303
So have me this problem in custom roms use base 205 and stock.
Mine is C5303.
I am having this issue also on ExistenZ 4.0 and I had it on a stock deodexed 205 ROM.
Its like the screen just stops responding and fades away as if the contrast/color just fades away to a browner image of whatever is on the screen, then after a few seconds, it pops back to normal contrast/colors and the screen responds as normal. Happens quite frequently with chrome for me, i'm going to look at alternative browsers, but im sure its happened while using the XDA app also, while scrolling through a board.
Edit: also happened in youtube while watching a video.
Edit 2: Fully restored my phone to stock with PC Companion and it gave me stock 205, the same fading happens, has to be a bug specific to 205 firmwares.

But i dont have this issue in .205 . Model c5302 .
But i have this issue on .201 while playing gangstar vegas
Hi folks,
I am using the latest (20140908) omni rom nightly build and I have the following issues:
I am getting called (ringtone) but the screen stays black for 5-10 seconds
Alarmclock: when it goes off, the screen stays black and i can't switch it off (very annoying)
Screen takes 2-3 seconds or more to light up after I press the power button
Any ideas on that?
Thanks!
adam recommends (well, used to, not sure if it's still the case) that you use a custom kernel, and he mentioned iodak's few times. remember to set max screen off frequency to 1ghz or so via trickstermod, so the device won't lag (default is 475 mhz which isn't quite enough) with wake-up when screen is off
Thanks, I'll try the frequency fix first (I have no modifications there whatsoever) and if it's not helping go with mourta kernel.

you're only able to change screen off frequency on iodak-based kernels (mourta, iodak, cyodak, mahdi), not stock omni. good luck
I personally use Tasker to set performance governor for 5 seconds when a call comes.
That is also an interesting idea. I'll see how the phone performs with the next incoming call and if the problem still occurs I'll try it.
Until now I installed mourta 02/09 and I'm using abyssplugv2 governor. It does not have a max screen off frequency but the smoothness is much better already.

I've the same problem on cyanogenmod with stock cm kernel. When i install another kernel such as iodak my 4x is faster and smoother. Try to install iodak and set the min cpu freq to 475mhz.
Recently i'm noticed a problem: very often two BIG cores are stucking at 1056 without any reason and it not depends of battery level. After cores are stuck, the UI ( Interface ) becomes very slow and laggy, phone also heats more than when core are not stucked and working properly. This problem was earlier and comes to me after Oxygen 5.0. I have did three factory resets since then ( after updating to 5.0.0 ) and nothing changed. This problem is really annoying and don't let to use phone normally. I also noticed that after updating the system, the phone works fine for a while, but then the lags start again. It's very sad that OnePlus can't make their Kernel working normally.. Is there any chance to fix this problem with core stucking at 1056 mhz? I dint want to use custom kernel, i want to use stock oxygen kernel and fix this problem, if this possible..
I also made a bug report on 1+ forum, check it please: https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/big-cores-stucking-at-1056-mhz.955115/
