[Q] Want to roll back! - Motorola Droid Bionic

I'm stuck on .901 without root. I cant get back to stock. I have tried RSD and 4EVER root and no dice. Can someone help?

i just used pathsaver thismorning to go back so i could do some beta testing for someones script and it works everytime i use it. just make sure after you reinstall 893 you check and make sure you are forever rooted not just rooted. if you are rooted but not forever rooted you will loose root when you install 901 again

Is there a way to unroot and return back to Gingerbread 2.3.4?

currently on CM7, would like to know if there is a way to unroot and return back to stock Gingerbread that came over OTA?
EDIT: nevermind I figured it out...I just rebooted into the recovery image from when I first rooted...took me back to stock gingerbread and instantly received an OTA to 2.3.4
...and none of my root apps work, although I am unable to uninstall superuser, ROMmanager or titanium backup even though they don't work. Perhaps they would work if I restored backed to a rooted backup?
If any one is curious why? simply my wife liked the non-wonky stock gingerbread 2.3.4 better then CM7 and wanted everything back to when she first got the phone
EDIT again: I was able to uninstall ROMmanager and titanium backup...now I just need to uninstall superuser, the option isn't even there
perhaps I'll connect to my computer and see if I can remove it that way.
for my Nexus One I am still rooted and on CM7 but it is still wonky

[Q] what now?

i was running rooted stock. Did forever root, flashed update 893, flashed liberty 3 rom. I noticed that the version went back to 886 so i did oneclick instead of backup to try again. While running oneclick i got INFOPreinstallation error on the boot.img write. Everything else flashed then i tried to root and it gave me an error as well. My phone is running fine but i cant root. Is my phone done or can o root again?
think you may have turned yours into a bastard hybrid
it can be fixed, just have to find the fix, it's linked in one of the .893 threads

Issues!!! HELP PLEASE!

Ok, so heres the deal. Was on stock rooted 886 w/o permaroot, and my dumbass did the OTA 893 update. Lost root, so I used R3l3AS3DRoot and did a Restore, Root, & For3v3r root. This brought my system back to 886, but from what I've gathered, my kernel and radio are still 893? My issue is, now I cant update at all, to 893 or 901 (basically what I want to do is run Eclipse V2.0 .901 Patched thats posted Here. I've tried this and the update still fails. I've also tried updating straight to 901 due to the fact that my kernel and radio are supposedly still 893 since I did that stupid ass OTA update. Am I screwed, or is there something else I can do?
BTW, I did get the Eclipse V2.0 901 Patched to install on my safe boot partition with bootstrap recovery, but I had absolutely NO DATA. I even tried moving the 901's system/lib files and still nata. I'm assuming this is due to the fact that the kernel and radio are still 893?
try the pathsaver method by p3droid. first go your sd-ext and remove any updates that are their or it will not push the ones you need. there is a vid out there somewhere on how to but it is pretty easy just read all instructions

[Q] Restore 902 from CWR?

I Just installed 902 yesterday from rooted 901 and the 1st thing I did was make a "nandroid" back-up. Tonight I dropped my phone and shattered the screen. I had the loss/theft/damage insurance and they are sending me a replacement phone I assume it will come with 5.5.893.
Should I be able to root it and install CWR, and then just restore my nandroid and end up at 902 rooted?
You'll need to root, forever root, and apply the 902 update first. Than install CWR and restore your nandroid. As far as I know, nandroid doesn't handle kernel/radio, so you won't truly be on 902 if you skip updating to it.
Thanks Joe, now that I think about it, I'm sure you're correct.

[Q] JB Root Help

I was running DynamicKat 2.1 and somehow lost SS recovery reboot. In the process of trying to restore it I wiped my phone and had to revert back to MJ5. It is up and running fine but I can't get it to root. I have been to this point a few times but the rldv.zip method from, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2559715 , I used before isn't working or Klingo Root, which I also used the first time I rooted my Note 3 isn't detecting phone. I just did this a few days ago to get root but for some reason now it isn't working. I need to get root back so I can boot into SS and get back to DynamicKat. Any tips or advice on something i am possibly overlooking this time would be great. Thanks in advance.
Try deleting your current USB drivers, plug in your phone, let Windows reinstall them, and try again. This always worked for me after reverting to MJ5 and Kingo wasn't detecting my phone.
