emanoN v3 v4 - Samsung Galaxy Mini

I respect the creator of these both great roms.
But there is somthing really annoying me.
Why the hell has been the thread from emanoN v3 become emanoN v4 thread?
There are now older comments from v3 mixed with new comments for v4.
Thats not good and the things are now unclearly. I mean i sometimes can't clearly see for which somebody here is asking or reporting.
More Important for me because i will stay with v3 is where to get support and files from the "old" rom?
It would have been better and clearer to make a complette new thread here at xda for emanoN v4.
Sorry for my bad english i hope it's understandable what i want to say.
Greetings from Germany.

I believe it's a common sence here to update the original posts instead of creating new ones. And it makes sence to me, since it could be a little confusing to have many post of the same "brand of ROMs". And this could make less experienced users to be lost and install the older ROMs.
And for you to install it, it's just follow the instructions on the original thread, since they are updated too.
This is only my humble opinion.

What is the most stable 6.5.X rom?

I ask because I'm new to this device and I'm moving from a device that got very little attention. Right now I'm using Energy Rom "Leo" 23518 Jan 20th. I want to know as I'm sure most others would like to aswell. This thread will not only evaluate rom stability as a whole but see which ones are more popular. I'm sorry if someone thinks this belongs in general but I think its more useful here.
PS: Please mention UC compatibility as that's an important factor in choosing a rom aswell.
i was using Energy Rom "Leo" 23518 Jan 20th along with the previous versions from the day i got my tp2. very cool roms. I think he is great at making custom roms but since tmobile released there 6.5 i flashed it to check it out and was going to go back to the energy rom but i gotta tell ya the official tmo rom suprised me so much im leaving it on my device. besides a few reg modifications and adding a few of the apps that normally come with most of the custom roms on here. The tmo rom is the best to me. 3 of the biggest issues i had with most of the custom roms ive tried were memory usage, freezing to the point i have to reboot and the clock being wrong.

[Q] Best ROM

Hi guys...I'm Italian and my english is not perfect...excuse me! I have a Samsung Galaxy S and I want to mod it...I think that my phone is not fully exploited... I need a ROM that exploits it. My parameters of choice are stability, sensitivity and speed... What is the ROM that you suggest me? Thanks guys!
All new roms based on jpy are really fast and awesome. Just read the features of all the roms and choose one.
My favorite ; darky"s rom
The best rom is always someone else's rom. ..

You're right.
@OP
If you want a modular ROM where you can add pieces of components together, go for Doc's ROM.
If you want a great JPY ROM, go for Jim_Panse's ROM.
You can switch between ROMs as you like
Happy flashing & merry X-Mas!
I started of with the Darky ones, runs fast and smooth. Except for crappy GPS but thats not his fault, just samsung that ****ed somthing up.
Havent tried DOC's one though.

I think in terms of speed, all JPY ROMs are the same.
It's just about the customizing the ROM chef did
Not another best rom thread
We appreciate your willingness to start playing around with your android phone. However, to fully have the android experience, you will have to do what most of us do and that is flashing roms. Lots of them. Then you will know yourself which one you prefer.
BTW, this questions should be in the General section, not Development.
First you need to mention a few things more , like the firmware versions you are curently running.
Anyhow , Your first choice should be the official kies update that you may have in Italy at the moment. Maybe if you has in an eclair rom and you update to froyo is enough for your needs. Latest roms as said before are very good in terms of stability, sensitivity and speed.
If you need something beyond that , i would suggest Darkys rom ( no offence to the other guys ) which is easy to upgrade to and had a lot of goody's pre-installed
After that you should be able to fully understand the differences of every rom and make your choice.
Almost all guys here support their roms ( updates ) , they have detailed instructions , FAQ e.t.c. and you can also be helpful too , as a 4rth layer tester*
*
1rst layer = creator
2nd layer = mod creators that the rom include
3rd layer = Testers following the rom that know most of the common issues
4rht layer(us) = Testers that have fully read and understand the instructions and despite following them to the letter , they experience some kind of bug , so they report it
P.S. no actual layers exist , i just made them up to explain
IMO, i'd say last Darky's rom and Doc's.

My advice would be to start with something simple such as Darkys rom 9.5 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=814091, it is bug free and stable.
There is no best rom .But their are multiple posts asking the exact same question wasting XDA server bandwidth .
Read the 2.3 posts in the Dev section.

Bug free and stable how come 99% of the broken phone posts are Darky roms .

Advising a new user to flash CM7 right out of the box is like asking an art student to make a Faberge egg.
He might get lucky, but more likely he will just create a very expensive brick.

Read some of the threads in the development section and try some of them out.
Darkys ROM is a good place to start for simplicity, or you could do a bit of research and cook your own from the ROM kitchen.
The word "Best" is subjective as different people want different things from their phone.

He will be fineeee
I flashed CM7 by following this thread just a week after I bought my SGS, and I'm chinese.
Besides, you can always save your phone so long as you can enter "Downloading" screen.
No need to worry~
I was exactly in your situation a few days ago when I was looking to flash my first custom ROM, even Darky's looked a tad too complex to start with so I went for HamsterBread, simply download 3 files, flash 2 (one at a time) in Odin, and flash the third from recovery.
The only thing broken on it is the power widget but you can get a more powerful and configurable one from the market app widgetroid.
Here's the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=844514
i assume you are new to all of this custom ROM / hacking business.
i highly recommend you get your first custom ROM from www.romkitchen.org.
its so simple to make and you make it to suit YOUR NEEDS. great dev's lots of support, frequent updates.
The best place to start for newbies...
I red very good things about Cyanogen and MIUI. I'll try them first of all.
thanks yous. just wanted to make sure which ROM is safe

Lier. 99% of broken phones are CM7.
However DArky's being the MOST popular and merely aimed at idiots who need 1 click Flash (I was like that once) then it is easy to not troubleshoot lol.
Darkys 9.5 is undoubtably the best SGS i9000 ROM Hands down.
Use the starter pack for gb and then something simple and stable like Simply honey or StockRom, both use the same kernel which is excellent and install without issue.

thank you guys! good informations!
for me JUWE 4.2 is superb and perfect
Darky's 9.5 without a doubt.
best rom is from the kitchen rom beta, take your time customizing it and you'll end up with your best rom.
Darky 10.1 is most excellent and very stable!
ive been modding my galaxy for a week and was a total noob before that cm7 was an easy install and im english and we as a nation rely on asians for anything technical

[Q] which rom should I install on my SGS1 (Please help me)

Hi, I wanna install a new rom but I couldnt found what I exactly want.. please help me to decide
I want the rom to have:
-good battery life
-fast and has minor problems
-good features
features:
a lot unlock screen( minimum 5)
2G/3G
TW 4
applications and stuff from SGS 2
updated applications
3D Perfomance
based on android 2.3.3 or 2.3.4
single and wifi improved drivers& other drivers (if there is such thing like that..)
another cool useful stuff
EXT4
so I was thinking about Juwes/gingercriskelo/SH/CM7/miui/or maybe something else?
what is the best for me, for what im looking?
thanks guys
NOTE- I have read A LOT of thread so far but I still cant choose
NOTE- cant try and install every rom.. I want to install a rom and that's it- be with him a long time
Why don't you want to try some ROMs?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA Premium App
You have to try a lot of roms. I use insanity CM 014.
Lunchbox115 all my application will be deleted over and over when I change rom..
I dont want to mess with this things.. lol dont wanna destroy my phone
actually, I cant "find by myself" all the features even if I try this rom..
imidalv- yeah I've heard about cm7 but as I said- dont know which one should I choose
please help me guys
testing them yourself is the only way to find out. I want similar things to you, and have so far been through Insanity, Juwe, ezBase, and am currently trying Ginger Real. Ginger Real and Juwe both have plenty of features, but insist on theming them which really annoys me!
I use F1 SGS V3.0 (NON-WIPE).
This ROM is awesome.....
@darix: you could use Titanium Backup to save and later to restore your apps.

This guy posts an almost identical thread begging people to tell him what ROM to install every few weeks. They just end up being spammy flame wars until the mods delete them.
As often as you all try to tell him he needs to investigate for himself, he will continue begging someone to tell him what is best and what to do.
It is sort of a fetish thing, I think.

Insanity cm 014/glitch
Personally I liked the criskelo roms for everything you want. You really do need to try the roms for yourself. I am now a miui convert, very fast and responsive but does have stuff missing compared to other roms.
easy answer!!

I suggest u try miui(galnet's version 1) its awesome and when its comes to the rom, the features are far superior than the rest combined... also galnet i hear is a real pro in developing roms, so u can be assured of a reliable and quality builds.. ps: if u decide to try this read the manual properly!!
F1 S2 V2 this rom is awesome

JVP based, i prefer GingerReal V6.1 with Zeam Launcher. Very stable.
Don't you lot ever learn! Stop feeding this thread!

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=978354 Try to use this one it is 2.3.4 JVP... Or Darky Ressurection 10.1 2.3.3. JVH - stabel, fast (not so fast as jvp), low battery usage.
thanks everyone ! I think I'll go on Juwes/gingercriskelo I dont like MIUI's team so much..
waiting for more people ..
rschenck- just shup up ok? nobody wants to read your negative comments
-and I heard that there's a problem after recovering application, the market does not mark these applications as installed, therefore I cant update it and it might cause more problems.. -->does it really happen a lot?
thanks guys

Best version of MIUI for SGS?

Hello,
I wanted to try out MIUI on my phone, but there seems to be many versions of it, Mintberry, Galnet, the ones at miuiandroid.com and that other website, and I can't really tell how they differ.
So I was asking for opinions from people who had some experiences with them to help me out, since I'm pretty interested in trying one out.
Thanks
It's easy to do a backup and flash custom ROMs, so I say try them all. I prefer MintBerry myself, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to just see what each MIUI version has to offer
Mintberry with FuguMod is this best combination for me
Look my signature and combining it with zach kernel..
Neo R18
