Hi,
Does anyone know where to get replacement housing screws? I know they are T6 but no idea of thread etc. Lost 2 when fixing USB port!
Thanks
Search eBay for the exact name or visit a computer store, but not a chain.

Hi, i need a set of 4 new screws.
They are the 4 screws in each corner of the phone under the back cover, 2 of them on either side of the bottom antenna.
I think the parts number is one of these but i dont know which one, or where to get them from.

Any help would be great.
Thanks
That's a hard one. Most likely search some Chinese 3rd party sites. Those screws are specify for the phone. Or buy a bricked or damage phone off eBay. Get the screw from it carefully.

Ok thanks. Will have to buy a bricked phone or get some made.

I don't know what happened but, now my G1 no longer charges. The indicator light doesn't come on and it doesn't show the battery itself charging when I'm looking at the screen. Has antone else had this problem and how did you fix it? Thx in Advance.

replace the daughterboard, hard to find by itself but you can get a broken g1 off ebay cheap that has a cracked screen etc. and swap the board, fairly quick and easy.

anyone out there know a place or website where i can get a new charging port flex cable that will actually work with out problems.
my original one didnt charge right unless i bent it backwards a little
i bought 3 off ebay and had problems with each
1st one off ebay had no sound
2nd one had no service
3rd one didnt charge at all.
the original one was a REV 1.0 connector and so were the others, so if anyone knows where to get one that will work with no problems let me know
THANK YOU

Don't know about OP, but I'm in the US, having the same issue. Went through 2 orders of 2 cables each from tmart, and sound doesn't work on any of them. I get a click when sound should start playing & nothing else.
I don't care to deal with ebay, due to shady sellers, limited return policy & price gouging ($36 for a flex cable? really?)
In UK, easiest place is amazon
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0018BKDG6/ref=mp_s_a_1?pi=SL75&qid=1351286869&sr=8-1
Search for samsung data cable.

That looks like a USB cable. Pretty sure OP is referring to a flex cable, which is also what I need. Looks like this.
Anyone know of its possible to replace the back plate of our phones? Or even replace the whole metal part to a diff color or just replace a beat up one? Tired searching but nothing comes up...

Look at iFixit teardown.
It's almost impossible to disassemble that phone without damaging it.

Unless you have a "Special Tool"

Hopefully that tool will be available to consumers

You can acctually get all the tools needed for a tear down. The only thing is they are not specific for the HTC one. For instance it uses an Iopener tool for the Iphone/Ipad to get in to the device. But I wouldn't advice trying it if you don't have some kind of repair expieriance as HTC's are notoriusly difficult to get back together
Check this teardown out which has the list of tools you need. And you should be able to get it replaced without the 'Special HTC Tool' that everyone is talking about
But then again I really wouldnt advice doing it. But thats just my opinion, and I have 2 years of level 3 repair work
I got electric shock when charging or not charging sometimes, i use a electric checker its reported have electric 12v all aluminum of htc one. Should i exchange it. Or buy another smartphone

Change it of course. That's not acceptable.

12 compared to what? Voltage is a potential difference measured between two points. I'd be surprised if you can feel 12V other than on your tongue, or other sensitive parts of your body (I don't want to know).

Having same issue with 2nd hand Htc one.
could it be because it felt on the ground?
I may replace Housing and LCD, digitizer, etc to Black, if I replace whole housing would it fix it?
regards

Who knows. Are you a pro rep guy? Tearing this phone to pieces without damaging it is pretty hard. And expensive unless u have a faulty one at hand.
