[Q] OTA Cyanogen Updater Boot Problem - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi I modified the old cyanogen updater app (like it better than RM) and its working fine as I can update the list, download files ecc. for my ROMs.
My only problem is when i select install, from the updater app, the zip file the cell
boots but in Samsung and not ClockWorkMod recovery mod so the update fails.
I not a genius in programming and was hoping someone could maybe point the problem to me.
Here is attached the apk compressed and decompressed.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I see a lot have seen this post, isn't there anyone who can please help?

Can anyone help me please i'm sure there must be someone.

[Q] DSP Manager no sound

HI installed DSP Manager by putting the file on my sdcard and flashing through recovery..the problem is that now I have no sound at all and my phone seems to run through all the music. I mean the time keeps skipping forward as if I was fast forwarding the whole thing. Can anyone please help me with this.. Thanks
EDIT: ok i replaced the audioflinger.so with the original and that corrected the "no sound" issue. But now i cant use dsp manager. I mean the dsp manager works only with the included audioflinger.so not the original.
Does anyone know what could be the problem??? Thanks
look this topic

Hi,
You mentioned about replacing audioflinger.so with original file. Where do i get the file from? I have same problem on my xperia pro mk16i. Please help. Thanks
I had the same problem. I unistalled dsp manager.

audioflinger.so lib
dsp manager works only with the included lib audioflinger.so it will not work with any other lib. So, I suggest you to try flashing new dsp manager with compatible lib.

[need help] Play Store does not recognize my note correctly

Hi guys, since a few days, maybe a week i am having troubles with play store everytime i update a rom.
i'm on paranoidandroid from utacka with HC kernel 7.5.
at the moment the play store does not allow me to install many apps in a random (to my eyes) pattern.
for example i installed backstab a while ago while it was on sale and i cannot see it anymore...
same happens for many other apps...
anyone got a clue?
Try to clean the data of play store app. And wipe dalvik cache and try again.
Done that. I also tried to restore a backup copy of the store from before the rom update without any success. Now I'm back to my previous version will give it another try ASAP.
Keep the tips flowing please

Have you used the Multi-DPI playstore?
never had to: PA rom takes care of Playstore on its own... or at least always has. anyway, gonna give it a try right now
repeated a rom flashing again solved it..
thanks anyway guys

and here we go again... i just updated the rom and play store acts weirdly again.
now i managed to get access to all of the apps on the playstore app but i do not see my galaxy note appearing on the web playstore.
already tried:
Flashing again the rom
clearing data from playstore
deleting and readding account on Gnote
logging out and in again on web playstore.
now... uninstalled playstore, through TiBu and reinstalled with apk from androidpolice.
atm the playstore is showing the 2nd copy of my galaxy note...
but many of the apps were not compatible with my device.
rebooted to recovery, wiped cache and data (factory reset)
rebooted to system, let the play store recover my old apps, then reinstalled the missing one (becouse of non compatibility) using TiBu and enabled the market for foreign apps with market enabler.
looks like solved...
at least for now...
last famous words... again i can use my device from web but most of the apps are not allowed for my phone... what can i do now? my god.. i'm hating it... nite people.. i hope someone comes with some ideas couse i tried all that comes to my mind...

Xposed for our Razr I

Tungstwenty is in develogment to build a X86 Version of Xposed and i had tested it.
Unfortunately, there is problems and Tungstwenty canĀ“t solve the problem.
The good news:
I know what the problem is - your x86 ROM includes JIT support in the Dalvik VM, and xposed was compiled without JIT support as it's what the AOSP sources use for x86 specifically.
That's the reason for the crash.
The bad news:
I have no idea how to get the AOSP code to compile the dalvik code with JIT support on x86. It fails with the 4.1.2 sources, and also 4.2.1.
On the other hand, with the latest 4.2.2 it appears to compile properly.
I'll give it another shot and try compiling once I grab the android-4.1.2_r2 branch, on which your ROM might be based and with luck might have working JIT support on x86...
EDIT: No luck, android-4.1.2_r2 doesn't compile either
Either the reported version is wrong or the code used by the XT890 is different from AOSP

Maybe have anyone an idea or can help Tungstwenty to solve the problem?!
What about ask to Omar Avelar? He knows about source code for x86

De nada. i looked at the xblast tools too (quite impressive). there are a lot of modules around for xposed (don't understand how it works, but seems to be a very
sophiticated method).
With XthemeEngine applied, i have random soft reboot in M8 version of Omar Rom
Same with cydia substrate

Xposed 2.4 crashes my phone, could only revert via /data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/conf/disabled
No bootloop but just doesn't start up (before bootanimation)
If not everyone knows how to do it, here is a quick how to:
connect your phone
adb shell
su
mkdir /data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/conf/disabled
now it should boot up again

read my previous comment to fix it.
No problems here with latest xposed. But I've only do a soft reboot
Do you mean 4.2-beta3?
With official 2.4 (installed via installer) you will get into bootloop for sure.

Xposed works only in deodexed rom. . The stock one is odexed, so, you should deodex your rom to get xposed work properly
