ADW Launcher + Beautiful Widget

My home in DHD with ADW Launcher & Beautiful Widget.
Wallpaper by zedge!!

so as a android and DHD newbies how did you getting it looking like that and what is the android icon in the top left?

He changed the look of the phone by replacing HTC Sense with a program called ADW Launcher. You can get it in the Market. A program with the same capability is Launcher Pro. Check it out

The icon is for a task killer app - which you don't need!

I don't like the style personaly but it's original ^^

hi guys, short question...i am new to android, so if i install awd or launcher pro, do i have to uninstall/deactivate sense first? can i switch back to sense?

When a new App is installed, which changes some standard behaviour, you will be prompted which App you want to use. After installing LauncherPro press HOME Key, you will be asked, which App should be taken for that. You can also check the box for useing it every time.
When you want to go back, you have to reset that thing in Settings - Application.
So you can easily go back to Sense. Or you can uninstall LauncherPro, same effect.

Hey guys, I have just installed ADW Launcher and set it as default but now I can not find the Home button to long press and back to HTC Sense?
Here is my homescreen, How can I find this home button to leave ADW?

It should be the same as LauncherPro. Go in settings -> Manage app -> Choose ADW and Clear Default ( if I remember well I don't have it installed atm )

Help with Widgets

My NC is fully rooted and I have a bunch of apk's installed and working. My question is how do I get widgets to work ? When I long press on the home screen the only option I get is change wallpaper ?!? Please help ..
Also ... how do I move icons from my EXTRA desktop to the scrolling window at the bottom of the screen ?

You need to install a Launcher....something like Launcher Pro or any of the others that have been confirmed to work.

What other launcher apps are there ? I have heard bad things about Launcher Pro ... ?

Zeam is an option I've seen that looks pretty good. Apparently you wont have problems as long as you change your wallpaper while in landscape mode .

The official word from B&N is their home/launch doesn't support widgets.

I've been successfully using ADW launcher (with widgets and all).

Custom Launcher App

Hey guys. Sorry if this is a stupid question. I've searched and google'd and couldnt find the answer. Could someone explain how to use this app?
I've seen docks with four icons with different apps linked to them, but im stuck with the three buttoms (apps, phone, personalize).
I want to change the dock and some icons but after watching some tutorials for this app the phone doesn't have some of the options in the tutorials.
Im on 2.2.1, S-OFF, and rooted.
Can someone teach me how to do this with this app? And if this app can't do that can someone direct me to one that can?

To have custom items in your dock use an other launcher then Sense. Something like ADW or launcher pro. Hope this helps

if only go launcher had the ability to disable the dock and use adw icon themes, it would have been perfect.

Well, you could just leave all of the icons in the blank, the go launcher has an option for that.

Yeah, that would've been neat, but I'm sticking to Desktop VisualizeR right now where this wouldn't help either way.

I want to put something in that empty space, only ADW has the option to completely disable the dock.

Launcher pro + customer launcher icons.
change icons, and the dock itself.
Excellent. Gives the phone a new look at any time.

thats just on the launcher dock, i mean inside the app drawer

does Goluncher can change the lock screen??? if yes: how? if no: which app could help me?

You can find them in the Market on your phone.
And yes you can use them without root.

launcher pro+ and adw launcher ex both have the option to change the icons in the app drawer. Just download a .apk icon/theme file, try out ADWi2 theme.

Widgets on alternate launchers possible ??

Hello all- I recently watched a review of this phone and the reviewer showed that it was not possible to add widgets to the home screen of this phone while using an alternate launcher such as Nova, Apex, etc...
Is this true ? I am just looking for verification before I consider getting one of these.

Not true. I used Nova Launcher Prime and i can add widgets as i please.
You may not be able to add lenovo widgets unless u are using VibeUI's launcher. But all other widgets are working fine.

OK, Thank You alexkit....
The guy in the video must have had an issue with his phone. He was using Nova launcher and every time he tried to add a widget to his home screen he got a force close.
One more question if you dont mind !! (actually 2 questions LOL)
How are the selection of themes ? Can you customize themes like using icons from in another theme, etc... ?

You need to copy the launcher directory into /system/priv-app/
And reboot.

I've found that on some ROMs if you don't add a widget with the stock launcher at least once it won't allow you to add a widget with Nova, if nova doesn't allow you to add widget switch back to the stock launcher for a second and add one, then switch back, see if that sorts it!

Try ASUS LAUNCHER. Download it from playstore. It's quite good and very stable.

zen ui launcher is best for infinix hot 2x510

You can try Smart launcher.
1. Categorized drawer
2. You can hide apps
3. Support . I am using:
a. Double tap for screen off (you'll have to download a small plugin later directed by the launcher)
b. Swipe up for search in app and contacts
c. Swipe down to expand notification
d. Swipe right to expand toggle panel
e. Swipe left for app drawer (optional: by default you can swipe left or right edge to bring up the app drawer, depends on your hand preference in home setting of smart launcher)

I like nova launcher, but the free one unable to display unread counter and unable to make folder in app drawer, only the paid version has the features.
I like asus launcher, but I'm unable to alphabetize apps in folder.

I havent tried M on hot 2 but I dont have bootloop with my opo.
There should be no problem of a launcher to a rom. Very unlikely

Hi, I have too an infinix HOT 2 androidone 5.1.1, I suggess using Xperia Home.apk version 8. It's make luncher so powerfull and sweet.
You can find it on Google just type Xperia Home.apk and you Will get it

Nova launcher is good too. Get the prime to unlock a lot of cool features in it. ????
