I am also using this SanDisk card.it really work great for me.
I've acquired a 32Gb SD card (class 6) for my Galaxy Note (N7000) but I'm wondering if it could be a good idea to partition it into 2/3/4 logical 'drives' og keep it as one ?
The reason for splitting it up could/should be faster indexing on the phone (I'm not sure but may be one big 32G with a lot of files takes more time to scan/index ?)`also the sector size is probably bigger,'wasting' space with many smaller files (like .mp3 music files ..)
Let me hear your best recommendations or experiences.
Thanks :good:
I for one want the largest fastest available and currently have a 32G class 10. My next will be a 64G which should be faster. I would recommend class 10 and leave it at one partition. I would myself get frustrated with multiple drives and having to set different defaults for different apps.

Good point - thanks:good: - but isn't max external SD for Galaxy Note 32Gb ?
I have 32 GB class 4 and it isn't slowing down the phone one bit.
So I'd say you're gonna be fine.

Hiiii Guys..
I'm planning to buy a 16GB memory card. Now m confuse that should i buy 16GB or 8GB. i need more space. but is that slower my SGM? or should i buy 8Gb for better performance and i also use to partition my memory card. so plz suggest me 16 or 8 GB.

SD card size isn't a problem in terms of performance. Only the class counts and the partition's size. But you can repartition it at any time, so only the class matters.

MicroSD HC vs MicroSD XC
1) The MicroSD HC Class 10 - UHS-1 works in the Galaxy Mini 2 ?
2) And the MicroSD XC Class 10 - UHS-1 ?
3) What's the difference between the HC and XC version?
4) What's the maximum speed/class that the Galaxy Mini 2 supports?
Thanks!

That's not true by any means, I have owned many SanDisk products none have which failed. And to be honest the Samsung micro SD's are the ones that have failed more compared SanDisk.

it's true - amazon reviews recommended. also write speed on sandisks is painful-slow for 64gb card (10MB/s), where samsung is 20MB/s - still sucks but twice as fast

Maybe in the phone it might be slow but a micro SD card is not just meant for phone it can go into other things. When I use it in the PC through the adapter I get class 10 speeds if not faster.
Plus I'm not all about the fastest speed I'm more about reliability same thing when it comes to my SSD in my computer.

No joke. I have had 3 32gb class 10 microsd from Sandisk fail in under 1 year. 2 in my Note 2 & 1 just the other day in my Note 10.1 I think there is a known issue with Samsung Galaxy phones & Sandisk cards. Seems mainly like the 32gb ones, but 3 in under a year is seriously redonkulous. I actually had the csr admit there was an issue, & they issued an rma. Supposedly the newer batches of cards are fixed.
Running a 64gb Samsung class 10 & haven't had any problems in almost 6 months.
I guess I just have super magic lucky powers. Then again after getting an eBay dud I learned my lesson.
I think a lot of people buy cheap ebay crap and blame Sandisk.

Sounds like you were lucky enough to get 3 cards from the bad batch that was mentioned 2 or 3 years ago. I haven't read any legitimate articles on a specific incompatibility between Samsung and SanDisk, but rather SanDisk letting a bad batch get cut loose into the wild and now they're fighting mis-information years later.
Sorta like Hitachi fighting their infamous "DeathStar" hard drives or Toyota combating rumors that all of their cars have brake issues.
Sandisk 64gb micro sdcard class 10 I've had it for over a year now no issues at all.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using xda premium
I have 2 64gb sd cards. Both bought on ebay. One SanDisk and another a generic brand. Sad to say my generic brand lasted longer than my SanDisk and still running strong in my Note 2. Both were class 10. Generic one cost me $20 free shipping and SanDisk was $70.
Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
I think the numerous reports of scandisc failures are enough to keep me away, as I haven't seen anything official about a "bad batch" a year ago. There seems to be a lot of speculation on the why, but one thing is clear they are failing all over the place. Best buy something else.

I had a few different micro cards but in my experience SanDisk hqs worked the best. Been having for several months a SanDisk 64gb class 10 and working great.before I had a Kingston 32gb and failed and before dad I had a 16gb SanDisk from the hd2 days and still have it working good. So I guess my best bet has been SanDisk.

I'm chiming in based on my first hand experience. For the record, I find Sandisk memory substandard. The company fails to stand by its product by deliberately being difficult. If you like playing russian roulette with your data, go ahead. Sooner or later your number will come up! To be fair, this can happen to any storage media manufacturer. But for some reason it seems to be more prevalent with sandik. I've read nothing but great reviews with Samsung memory but I guess that's to be expected.
Currently testing and using a class10 32GB microsd semi-no name brand "A-Data". So far, I'm impressed as one of the best value for the buck. I have a small batch of adata cards and when it passes all my durability tests I will deploy them throughout all my devices.
