since my class 10 kingston sd card has very slow write speed i would like to see what kind of speeds you all get with your external sd cards.
sd tools or antutu will give quick speed results.
sdcard: kingston 16gb class 10
read: ~14 mb/s
write: ~6 mb/s
Samsung 16gb class 10
read: ~17mb/s
write: ~13mb/s
so whats your speed?

Hi all
Sure we know that htc advantage have MiniSD slot (Up to 4GB; supports SDHC)
So for using memories under 2GB you can use normal one , I have seen a lot of 4GB cards on the net but I do believe they are not approved by Secure Digital as SDHC and here is the pic from http://www.sdcard.org/

The different between them is the price and the most important is the SPEED.
miniSDHC is available in three performance classes, Class 2, 4 and 6, created and defined by the SD Association to help consumers identify speed and performance capabilities/minimum requirements of miniSDHC cards and the host device. Class is dependent on the write-speed of the card, the higher the “Class”, the faster the memory card.
The SD Speed Class Ratings specify a minimum sustained write speed for miniSDHC Cards (Class 2: 2 MB/s; Class 4: 4 MB/s; Class 6: 6MB/s*)
On the net I found two 4gb miniSDHC that is in REASONABLE price
One is class 2 and the other is calss 4
Good luck
and these reasonable prices are ???????????
34$~ 45$

your right that is a good price !! I nearly bought it and then I realised I have no other SDHC devices, not even my fairly newish laptop !! so I have no means of quickly transfering data to or from the card to then place it in my phone, unless I connect my phone Via USB !! if I do that I might aswell put it on the internal drive.

WM5torage!
Just found one in the UK on ebay.co.uk - Class 4 for £18.99 - I'm having one!
Does anyone know what speed the Athena can write at? If it's less than 2 MB/s then it doesn't matter what class it is but if it's more than 4 MB/s then a Class 6 would be better than Class 4.
My card has just turned up and despite it having a pic of a Class 4 card and it specifically saying it was a class 4 device, the card that has been sent is the Transcend class 2 card.
I have emailed them and await their response.
Does anyone know what speed the Athena can read? Will it make a diffrerence?
Thanks
I order 1 and also transcend class 2, not sure if they have it higher...
Transcend don't - my supplier was misled, offered me a £3 rebate or full refund If I wanted. He has changed his listing and appologised, it was a genuine mistake. I have accepted the rebate and am happy with the outcome, he seamed a genuine guy and resolved it quickly and to my satisfaction.
Pity you can't get class 4/6 but not sure what speed the Athena can work at anyway!
I will buy a new sd card for my HD2. I have 16 gb kingston class4 but it is really slow and laggy with dataonext roms. Can you suggest me sd card s? And uhs-1 cards are working with HD2? Did you try?

I have SanDisk Ultra 16GB UHS-I and have a lot of lockups with it. I often have to repair ext4 data partiton and sdcard fat32 partition in Magldr after lockups. Because android wont start and locks up during animated logo. I have tried Native-SD and NAND with data on ext. It's all the same. I've read somewhere that UHS-I cars have such problems with HD2. But I'd like also to hear some different opinions, because I try to find a better replacement, but today man can buy a good sd cards only with uhs-i.
I have a Sandisk 16GB ULTRA microSDHC (Class10)

I have test it with Jelly Bean 4.1.2 & 4.2.2 roms and i haven't experience any problems.
I too have a Sandisk 16GB ULTRA microSDHC (Class10) and tested it with Jelly Bean 4.1.2 & 4.2.2 roms .... my advice would be to buy something else. I had a fair few lockups. Usually occurred in that the phone would hang after locking the phone, meaning I couldn't unlock it. Whilst I suppose it increases security the only way to reset the phone was to remove battery and reboot.
Buy something else just to be certain. Kingston seems fine, as do Patriot .... just make sure you get a class 10, especially for NativeSD stuff.

Similarly. Fast enough card. I use it about 6 months on NativeSD ROMs (4.1.2 & 4.2.2).
But I've heard that the stores are selling different cards (different price) under this title and volume.
NativeSD
hi, i install my android on sd via NativeSD.
i have a 16gb class 4 toshiba microsd card
i want to change it to a 32gb class 10.
i wanted to know which microSD card is better... kingstone? toshiba? sandisk? silicon power? or sth else?
and for example sandisk has SanDisk "Extreme Pro microSDHC UHS-I card" or "Extreme microSDHC/microSDXC UHS-I Card" or "Ultra microSDXC UHS-I card" and "SanDisk microSDHC memory card"
what is UHS-I?
what is microSDHC microSDXC?
ultra or extreme or extreme pro?
i have tried few cables and diff brand of memory card. one 128GB, 3 x 64gb diff brand ... so far only 8GB is working
cant believe my 128gb and all 64gb are not working ... Note Pro only support OTG 8GB? not yet try 32gb and 16gb ...

Realy realy crazy ????
Crazy but in a good way
Nice but I don't see any use for 200gb card. My 32gb card has nearly 5-6 gb free. I don't think anyone can use anything above 64gb card.
And our Android One 1St Gen Costs around $100
I would prefer getting another phone with this price.
But still, thanks for experimenting.
Now adopt it into your phone's internal storage. For the lulz

Till the time comes when we need 100-200gb for mobile storage, our sprout will not last, maybe more powerful devices with 12gb ram and 250gb internal
But currently no need for a memory card which costs more than the mobile, atleast for me
Wondering what will happen if you stick one of these new SanDisk Extreme 1TB microSDXC cards into the new Galaxy S10+ 1TB/12GB. Will that give you 2 TB's of storage, or is the device actually limited to only reading 512GB cards?

The Galaxy S7 can read 512 GB cards. I'm sure the S10 will be able to handle the 1TB

Sandisk have been my go-to from my phone to my Nintendo Switch. They have never, *knock on wood* failed me in years.
Does that card even exist?
On the Samsung site it says you add a 512mb card taki g it to 1.5tb

You can't trust what Samsung says on their website, they just list the biggest card at the time of product launch. Plenty of people using 400GB cards in the S7. I think the S10+ will support up to 2TB even though the largest thing available will be 1TB in April.
The SDXC standard requires support of up to 2TB. As others have said the 512GB Max was simply because that was the biggest card available when the marketing for the S10 was finalized.

Any of the major brands (Sandisk, Samsung, PNY, Sony, etc.) should be fine. Among those there should not be any that are "better" for the S10, the individual card's speed rating will matter more. I would suggest UHS-1/V10 or higher in whatever size SDXC card you want.
