you're battery experience with this phone?
good,bad?
Very Good!
good use returns me minumum 2 days between charges
is there a diference in custom and stock rom?
im wondering just about battery usage?
Have to charge it every day, but doesnt bother me!
Sent from my HTC Sensation XL with Beats Audio X315e using xda premium
Charger at home and at work, so is plugged in and charging most of the time anyway, but even when i don't bother it'll last the day with moderate use (the signal is awful round here, so it drains it a bit quicker..)
I have a problem with the battery of my new Sensation XL.
When I charge the battery, even after several hours of charging, the maximum charge level reaches 86%, not more. I have just got the phone few days ago and I am trying to get the battery down to zero before I charge it. After the first charge the maximum level of charge was 75%, after the second and third one it was 86%.
Anyone with some idea? Is the battery damaged?
Thanks
Gianpietro
sounds like the wrong battery.
For example, the battery from the standard sensation only charges to 89% cos the voltage is .1v down on what it should be. Many replacement batteris have the same issue, such as the Mugen and Anker ones.
if it's definitely the right one, then it could well be a bad one and need replacing.
what exactly does it say on it?
it should match the XL battery here if it's the right one...

This is what is printed in my battery: Rating 3.7 VDC 1520 mAh 5.62 Whr.
that's not the right battery. The XL battery should be a 1600mah 3.8v battery with 6.08 whr.
Seems someone's switched the battery on you.
My bat stays for 2-3 days. including approx 30 min talk per day, approx 1-1,5 h internet usage per day. Mobile data always on. 3 emails syncing every hour. Weather syncing every 3 hours. In standbay phone is consuming 18-22 mA/h. In stand bay 1% is droping every 5-8 hours.

That would explain it. Capacity too small and voltage too low.

Hello
I have replace my original battery with an anker1900ma battery.
the htc battery is charged up to 4,35 volt ,this give the 100% and the led goes to green.
With the new battery (protected at 4,2volt) , the charged voltage cannot exeed 4,2 volt, and stay at 90%and the led stay in red.
Is there an android setting that permit to make the 90% being 100% and the charge stop when it's 4,2 volt?
I find 4,35 volt quite high with the original battery, could you give me your value with 100% charge?
I have tried the "battery calibration" but it does nothing on that
A part from that this battery seems to be better than the original one,it's a little bit thicker but it fits in.
Thanks .

It's seems it is a know problem of Anker Batteries when it comes to using them on this device. There is an already started thread on the batteries section taking about this issue , no fix yet thou what I would like to know if it is a problem only with Anker or if we can expect the same behavior from other extended batteries such as mugen for example
Sent from my HTC Sensation XL with Beats Audio X315e using xda premium
In fact it's not an anker but it's a saner ,look almost the same. It's not a problem with a battery ,it' s written on it that the protection is 4.2 volt.
I measured the voltage with other phone, for the galaxy s and the htc desire, the voltage is 4.2v when 1t's 100%.
Only the xl want 4.35v for 100% (mesued with my voltmeter) .
So i wonder if my xl is normal or not ?
Hi,
I am recently facing a heavy battery drain issue with my Galaxy S. The battery drained fully even in stand-by, within 10-12 hours.
So, I now replaced with a new battery(the battery was already 2 years old).
But, with this new battery too, it gets only around 20 hours of light use(3G, Music, Video drains the battery a lot). Also, the battery never shows fully charged unless it charges for a full night. though it reaches 100% around 3 hours, but still drains within evening.
I got my motherboard replaced recently, facing a network issue and was using the old battery for the first 2 weeks before replacing it with new one(1650 mAH).
So, my question is, whether the problem is related to my battery or is it with my motherboard?
Can anybody help me in this??
Are you using a custom Rom
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA Premium HD app
was using, now reverted back to stock rom... still d same, barely lasts half a day.. with nearly no usage....
Also, the Battery monitor widget says the capacity is 1500mAH, but this is a 1650 mAH battery, the voltage level seems to be ok

I know this is going to sound strange, but is there any specific app you are using when this happens, the reason I ask a friend uses facebook and it drains his battery from a high percent down to 0 and shuts off the phone in less than a minute.

no you see as i already said it comes with a charger ! it does charge to 100% and its 3.7 Volts .. there is not link on the computer but if you use your phone browser then go to ebay write down the name i quoted in the search bar and look for the name it self (or you can search "htc sensation xl battery" and then find it there it comes 3 batteries with a charger for 15 Dollars some thing like this could you check it out for me ?
pretty cheap for 2 batties and charger, so if you use the charger as i said it will ofc charge to 100 % but if you use the stock charger on the phone it will not. i should work just fine. report back how the battrie drain is and so on when you got it

Hey guys
I have an HTC Incredible S which doesn't want to charge. I thought it was a problem with the charging port as it felt loose so I went and got a universal battery charger to charge the battery. However the battery will not charge using this charger. At this point I am thinking that the battery has failed and wish to test it. I also have a HTC Sensation, now the battery from the Sensation will not fit as they are completely different sizes, so I am planning to wire the Sensation battery up to the Incredible S just to test to see if it will power on.
My question is, will this damage the Incredible S or the battery? If the phone powers on and works it means I simply have to grab a new battery for the Incredible S and away I go. I had a quick look at from what I could gather the voltage is the same however I would rather someone confirm this. I understand the mah are different but this only effects the amount of charge not the strength?
I should note that the Incredible S has gone swimming about a year ago and while it dried out and worked fine, it could have finally corroded and died.
Thanks
Buy a battery and test.
Press thanks if I helped you out!

Thats pretty much every Incredible S. Unless you dont wanna go through multiple charging cycles (charge full, unplug, plug till charge full, and reapeat) then i would suggest just leave as is cuz as u might be aware the more u charge things, the shorter the battery life gets.

I would be nervous to do that, but I suppose if you look at the back of the batteries, and all the stats are the same, I don't see how it would hurt. Still wouldn't want to do that on my own phone, though.
hi,
I have just received a replacement battery, have had a charge discharge cycle, and it look ok.
But I did just figured that the temperature reading is nothing but real :
- put the phone outside at -5°C for 30 min, batterie temp reading :23°C
- put the phone in charge on a QuickCharge 2 charger and go from 20% to 70% : 15°C
It seems to be a common thing on spare replacement batteries to have bad or simply NO temperature sensor.
For my Nexus 5 I have had the same issue.
The question is : is this temperature reading used to stop charging when its getting to much hot or even the phone itself?
Or does the phone itself has its own temp sensor that will shut it down or stop charging?
Edit : the litle white humidity disc checker on the same face as the contact is also missing...
Thanks
I also have a "5000 mah" slim battery, it is showing 23 degree non stop, so obviously not working. It gives me great battery life though.
Yeah the temp sensor is bugged

which one do you use?
Is it a slim one?
thx
Yes, it is a slim one. They have relisted it https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1Pc...32664650213.html?spm=2114.13010608.0.0.e4MP7m. It was gone from the site for about one month.
Yeah I have that same one with no issues. Love that brand

thx, i will get those batterys to test them out.
is the battery life (same usage and apps) better than on original battery?
i think my original battery is degreasing its power it can store, because i am using it ~1,5 years now.
thx

I'd say yes but the TQTHL is way better

My orig bat is still crankin. 1.25 years later. Im impressed
I did this for testing purposes....
With my Original Battery I charged with USB 2.0 Quick Charge and with my LG OEM Battery Charger and I got 2 Hours more with the Battery Charger. My Test: had the screen [email protected] and in the whole time. So 5HRs vs 3HRs
Note: the OEM Battery Charger doesn't have Quick Charge. To my understanding you should always charge slow and not fast. I find these Quick Charge Technology just a gimmick
Now out of curiosity. Are all these batts with incorect temp readings throwing warning aboit device to hot or cold????
No, I have no warnings, it works a bit better than stock, I have 4-5 hours of SOT during 40h time (I charge the phone every other night all night).
My G4 is brick
I need your help
Is that TOTHL battery really 5000mAh? I feel like a lot of those budget extended batteries all lie about capacity.

I call BS! on that. Look at my Thread

Too late!! I already bought it, but it wasn't too expensive (2 x $20 usd, shipped)
So far, the same SOT as the stock batteries. I doubt they'll last long, after multiple cycles.
The biggest battery saver has been uninstalling Facebook Messenger...sad.

You do realize these Slim Extended Batteries or and All Extended Battery can't be charged with USB? Time&Time again i keep saying y'all need to buy these Battery Chargers! (Linked in My Thread)
Truth: Either a Chip in the battery, Motherboard via Phone or.... inside the OS Kernel is it's locked @3000mah so if you charge (via USB) a Extended Battery it'll charge only @3000mah and nothing more. I've tested it. Even charging overnight
